This document provides a pre-production assessment for a student music video project. Locations discussed include areas in town that will work for nighttime shooting. Equipment will include an old camcorder to achieve a vintage look. Most editing will take place at home or college facilities. The crew will consist of the document's author and two friends. Health and safety precautions are outlined. Production dates and locations are scheduled, and permissions are documented.

3. Locations
• My main overall area would be in town as it is the largest area, I
have that has the most variation and as my music video will be
taking place at sunset/nighttime.
• There isn’t much of a limitation with town as its large and mostly
public property with some possible risks of that it is in public with
other people who could be a risk to me, my crew or my equipment
also some environmental risks but very minor ones.
• For me and Brandon the distance isn’t much of an issue but may be
for matt as he lives slightly further out which have some cost for
him for travel.
• Our access to certain areas may be restricted due to weather
depending on our days we decide to film and how the weather
turns out.

4. Equipment
• We will be using a old camcorder to film everything as it gives the effect as
natural look of he old homemade vhs look that I am going for. I may get
some lights from college to maybe add to the night-time potions and give
it more depth and if I isn’t possible to et this from college I can just buy
some.

5. Facilities
• Most of my editing will the place at home on my phone and laptop also
along with the ones at college when possible. I may also get some help
from my friends as they have better knowledge and know how with
editing than me and can help me create a better product, but I will
probably do a large amount of my editing on the college computers or my
phone as I have good knowledge on how to edit clips on my phone as I do
it in my own time an have gotten better each time.

• Crew: matt, Brandon.
Matt has a definite strength editing as he has a lot more experience in that
field and is also decent at his filming but isn’t his strong suit. Brandon has
more experience being behind the camera and is far more comfortable using
and operating the camera but is less experience in the editing area.
• Cast: me, matt, Brandon.
I don’t need any external performers ass I will be the only main performer, but I
do want to have some shots of me with matt and Brandon to add more depth and
visual interest to the music video and they will be available regularly throughout
the easter holidays. There may be cost and travel implications for matt as he lives
in Stamford bridge, but he could also just stay at mine to negate this for a few
days. Food and water will all either be paid for when we are out filming or just
grab something from my house there's plenty of areas to eat.

9. Shot List
• Shot 1: shot in front of minster or around the area or at the
stairs at the back and having me being filmed.
• Shot 2/3: will be filmed upon Clifford tower at night/day or in
the surrounding mound with me and Brandon being filmed.
• Shot 4: these shots will be of me singularly on top of Clifford's
tower for more lip-syncing shots.
• Shot 5: I'm going to get some hots in my room as I want to
add a personal aspect, these will only be of me with my led
lights to break up the just day/night shots.
• Shot 6: I'm going to get some shots Infront of the courthouse
at night as it as 2 types of dynamic lighting, it will only be me
and doing more lip-synching.

For this outfit I chose a
darker color scheme for
the night shots to give it a
more mysterious and
slicker look. I have also
chosen the balaclava mask
as it will match with me
and my outfit which also
has a balaclava. The coat
also adds to the whole
look with its spider web
design and slick material.
The trousers will most
likely be swapped out for
black ones to add to the
whole dark look more.

I have chosen a lighter color
scheme on tis outfit as I want this
to be used during the day/sunset
shots as it contrasts the previous
outfit which was for the more
mysterious, dark nighttime shots
with the Harley Davidson jacket
being the main center piece of
the outfit as it brings out the color
of the rest of the outfit.

I have chosen this outfit for Brandon as I adds a
stark contrast to matts outfits an even with matts
“darkest” outfit he still has some lighter colors.
With Brandon's outfit I wanted it to have a sense
of formality whilst still having that streetwear,
mall gothic look as it will also blend in more with
the darker and nighttime shots I'm going to get.

14. Sound Effects/Music
• I'm hoping to use my own made music for my music video as it will
hold greater value to me and shows my skills all in one product, it
will also allow me to release it under my own name for my own
music career. The song will be around 1 minute 10 seconds long
and has a very atmospheric sound and sample which captures a
sense of solace and with the lyrics I have really draws into that
emotion.
• If I am unable to successfully finish the song I can also use of my
older songs called “BLOOD ON THE FLOOR” which has a largely
opposite feel to the original song idea and is a lot more hyper, hard
hitting and loud and would mean for a more energetic and frantic
music video

17. Location information
• Information and images of your location[s] for
filming/recording/shooting.
• This means when you will arrive, when it will be
available, when you model/cast should arrive, when
you will finish, access to food/water, access to toilets,
nearby travel links etc etc.

• I am going to mostly focus on getting shots in
town in well lit areas such as Clifford's tower,
the centre, the minster and possibly some
shots near the docks to give it some slight
differentiation to all of the more well lit areas.

21. Clearance and Permissions LOCATION

remain upon Clifford's tower & the York minster (the Property), which shall include not only real property but any fixtures,
equipment or other personal property thereat or thereon, located at Clifford's tower & the York minster , with personnel and
equipment (including without limitations, props, temporary sets, lighting, camera and special effects equipment) for the
purpose of photographing scenes and making recordings of said Property in connection with the production of a digital
media text on the following date(s): 18th, 20th & 21st April This permission includes the right to take motion pictures,
videotapes, still photographs and/or sound recordings on and of any and all portions of the Property and all names
associated there with or which appear in, on or about the Property. This permission also grants all rights of every nature
whatsoever in and to all films and photographs taken and recordings made hereunder, including without limitation of all
copyrights therein and renewals and extensions thereof, and the exclusive right to reproduce, exhibit, distribute, and
otherwise exploit in perpetuity throughout the universe (in whole or in part) such films, photographs and recordings in any
and all media, whether now known or hereafter devised, including without limitation in and in connection with the
documentary video and the advertising and other exploitation thereof. I certify that I have the full right and authority to enter
