Integrating 21st century skills into educator
preparation

 Teachers will prepare
all students with 21st
century knowledge
and skills and teach
those skills, using
programs and
integrating those
skills to the
curriculum.
 Higher educational
leader will be in
charge of pass the
redesign curriculum,
but each teacher will
be responsible of
integrating the 21st
century skills and
knowledge and
assess it according to
the skill.
 Student achievement gaps: Is one of the most problem
in the development of a nation, when students are
lowest performer that mean that something is going
wrong in the educational system, but if the students are
empower with the 21st century skills they will be almost
top-performer, that mean an economically increasing
grow as the Programme for International Student
Assessment (PISA) have demonstrated.
1. Match the content with the technology resources.
2. Fallow the standards to instruct your students.
3. Create a balance between your instruction and the methodology,
no one can be ahead of the other.
4. Let your students think (express), and you will think what strategy
or skill you will use with them.
5. Don’t be only a teacher, become a leader.
6. Continue growing as a professional.
7. Help your fellow educators.
8. Assess your students in different ways, break the monotony.
9. Don’t stop to motivate yourself and others.

 Global Awareness : understand and address global issues, understanding
others cultures and belief , work collaborative.
 Financial, Economic, Business and Entrepreneurial Literacy :
understand the finance problem and their implication and the possible
solutions.
 Civic Literacy : understanding your rights and obligation as a citizen ,
participate in a civic life, know the implication of your decision for the state ,
the nation and the world as citizen
 Health Literacy : understand the public health service, and the role of you
as part of it, understand the possible preventive physical and mental health
measure.
 Environmental Literacy : demonstrate understanding of the environment
in which you live, the condition that affect you as a citizen.

 21st Century Standards: students are more accommodate to the
learning and facilities, the understanding is focus on the 21st skills,
students are direct in the solution of real problem in real time.
 Assessment of 21st Century Skills: the are standardized test, enhancing
the technology, developing portfolio for tracking students achievement, and is
focus on the feedback.
 21st Century Curriculum and Instruction : the integration of the
community is focus, to integrate innovative teaching and technology.
 21st Century Professional Development : are focus the direction of
instructions, the teachers development as a professional, and the
learning communities.
 21st Century Learning Environments : create learning practice,
provide an architectural design group, develop collaboration,
communication and creativity among the teams workers.

21 st century knowledge and skills in educator preparation

  • 3.  Teachers will prepare all students with 21st century knowledge and skills and teach those skills, using programs and integrating those skills to the curriculum.  Higher educational leader will be in charge of pass the redesign curriculum, but each teacher will be responsible of integrating the 21st century skills and knowledge and assess it according to the skill.
  • 4.  Student achievement gaps: Is one of the most problem in the development of a nation, when students are lowest performer that mean that something is going wrong in the educational system, but if the students are empower with the 21st century skills they will be almost top-performer, that mean an economically increasing grow as the Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA) have demonstrated.
  • 5. 1. Match the content with the technology resources. 2. Fallow the standards to instruct your students. 3. Create a balance between your instruction and the methodology, no one can be ahead of the other. 4. Let your students think (express), and you will think what strategy or skill you will use with them. 5. Don’t be only a teacher, become a leader. 6. Continue growing as a professional. 7. Help your fellow educators. 8. Assess your students in different ways, break the monotony. 9. Don’t stop to motivate yourself and others.

  • 7.  Global Awareness : understand and address global issues, understanding others cultures and belief , work collaborative.  Financial, Economic, Business and Entrepreneurial Literacy : understand the finance problem and their implication and the possible solutions.  Civic Literacy : understanding your rights and obligation as a citizen , participate in a civic life, know the implication of your decision for the state , the nation and the world as citizen  Health Literacy : understand the public health service, and the role of you as part of it, understand the possible preventive physical and mental health measure.  Environmental Literacy : demonstrate understanding of the environment in which you live, the condition that affect you as a citizen.

  • 10.  21st Century Standards: students are more accommodate to the learning and facilities, the understanding is focus on the 21st skills, students are direct in the solution of real problem in real time.  Assessment of 21st Century Skills: the are standardized test, enhancing the technology, developing portfolio for tracking students achievement, and is focus on the feedback.  21st Century Curriculum and Instruction : the integration of the community is focus, to integrate innovative teaching and technology.  21st Century Professional Development : are focus the direction of instructions, the teachers development as a professional, and the learning communities.  21st Century Learning Environments : create learning practice, provide an architectural design group, develop collaboration, communication and creativity among the teams workers.
