This document discusses the potential of seaweed as a functional food to address cardiovascular problems in Indonesia. It notes that Indonesia has abundant natural resources from the sea, but still faces issues like malnutrition and degenerative diseases. Cardiovascular disease is a leading cause of death in Indonesia. The objective is to understand how seaweed, specifically Sargassum species, can benefit the body and reduce cardiovascular risk factors.
