The colour of the light
coming through the
bullet holes has the effect
of showing hope in
finding his killer.
Props of the tap
surrounding the street
shows its been a murder,
and the lights of the
police cars focus the
viewer to the crime
scene.
The moon hidden
behind the fog
creates an eerie
atmosphere, and sets
a mood for the game.
The houses show that
it’s an average street
that could have a secret
behind it.
3. Existing Product
The light from the fire
lights up the entire
scene, showing the
dangers that are
ahead.
The lighting of the
fire reflecting on the
brass metal makes
you focus on one
word of the sign,
which makes you
want to think what
research is going on.
The lightning coming
off of the glove shows
what type of
dimension the
character is currently
in so you know if it is
a good or bad place.
4. Existing Product
The background is all foggy which
gives mystery of what can be
ahead of the player.
The props around
the room show
how their could
be collectables
that help the
player later on in
the game.
This shows action in the game and
how there is danger throughout the
game and that the player must figure
a way around it or through it.
The blood shows
how there is some
story behind the
place that the
player is walking
through.
5. Research Analysis
• What common features do the researched
products have?
– They all have some sort of story behind them, and
make the character wonder what will happen next.
• What aspects of the research will you include
within your on work?
– For my first existing product I would use the aspect of
the player being murdered and understanding where
they messed up, with my second existing product I
would be using the gauntlet for moving through time.
The third existing product I would be using the level
style of beating a room to get through to the next one.
7. Audience Profile
Category Demographic Content to appeal to this audience
Age Range 16-35
• The reason I have picked this age group is
because there would be a some blood and
gruesome takedowns, with violence.
Gender Male
• The reason behind me saying it would be a
male demographic is because it wouldn’t
have a lot of violence and blood which most
females would like.
Psychographic Need Driven
• The reason behind me using needs driven is
because I would want people to think about
how to fight the enemies quickly instead of
taking their time since it wouldn’t change a
thing unless you were trying to speed run
the game
Social Status A,B,C1,C2
• The A-C2 was chosen since I believe people
of these classes would enjoy the game
whilst also able to afford in game purchasing
affordably.
