Working Title: Emotion
Audience:
My target audience for the product I plan on making will be both genders and sexuality aged from
16-25 as I will be including darker content an will be sticking with a theme more common in older
people. When reaching out to all these people I will make sure to include a vary of characteristics
from both gender not using typical gender specific colours and not including any offensive
messages towards sexuality and not showing any bias to one or the other such as making a
masculinity based product.
My target group will mainly be people interested in mental health and a psychographic of the
socially conscious type A and B, having these as my lifestyle group I will make more hard hitting
messages and show what’s wrong in the world and how it can effect things around you, and
especially having type b I will include aspects which show signs of giving up on society.
When making my final product I must include what I can to reach these target audience, so firstly
with the gender I will make sure that I will include both sexes in my work as the topics I have
chosen are already equally relatable to all genders. Also with psychographics I am aiming for I
already am doing topics, which may be appealing to them.
Rationale (approx. 100 words)
This year I feel like I have learnt quite a lot new skills on the course particularly with the software’s
we have been using and also the process of the work and how to take what I have been doing
apart. I have wanted to do something print related from the start of the year however I only last
minute chose to do a graphic art exhibit, after I found it to be an option. I chose to do this as I
would like to improve my skills in graphic design but also as I enjoy drawing my own work.
This year I have learnt a lot of new tools and effects on Photoshop and would like to include all of
these in my work including different effects but also the tools such as the shadow and burn tool.
This year I also got to use a graphic tablet for the first time properly and felt rather confident when
using it and would like to use this in my work so it looks better more detailed and I can have more
practise with it.
Project Concept (approx. 200 words)
For my final project plan on making something different then I have before in previous projects, I
plan on making my own graphic art exhibit where I will include my own drawn art as well as
including photography ill take myself, I will hopefully make around 5-6 pieces for the exhibit
sticking to one particular theme of either emotions or mental health portraying my own views on
them.
Each piece I plan on making will be different but each have one thing that links them all together
and a similar art style, this will help me when picking a name and with the advertisement I want to
make.
I am also planning on making posters and other methods of advertisement for the exhibit as well
as designing the exhibit booklet where I will include small paragraphs on each piece but also a
floor plan for the building colour coordinating the place making it easier to follow and get round.
Evaluation (approx. 50 words)
Reference conducting on-going evaluation and your final self-reflection,analysing your work and its
outcomes.
When it comes to evaluating my work I will take part in several forms ofevaluation, one is while I complete my
work I will be taking screenshots bitby bit and taking apart the process Ihave done to get to my product, then
once it is complete Iwill evaluate what’s good, bad and how it could improve whilstcomparing itto existing
products similar to my own.
The lastform of evaluating I will do is peer evaluation where my peers will look at my final productand giver
there opinions and criticism.
