• Lincoln university like Nottingham had a print room full of
the big printers but also a dark room.
• The facilities and the accommodation were all top quality.
• The course had several aspects which did put me off a bit
such taking part in film and music.

Academic History
• I have studied at York college doing level 2 and 3 creative media course, on this
course I have learnt many skills but is also where I found out that I want to study
Graphic design in further education. I have been learning various skills and had lots
of practice in planning for the production of a product, researching products that
exist and took part in both primary and secondary research in various projects
over 3 years, we also spend a big amount of time on production being set tasks in
all aspects of the media using all the adobe software such as InDesign and
Photoshop.
• Doing this course I have enjoyed the print side of the work as it allows you to be
creative in your work but also implement many angles of the media, as I enjoy
illustration overall making posters and album covers has been an awesome chance
has given me experience in the conventional aspects of the work but also got me
used to using equipment such as the graphics tablets supplied.
• The creative side of this course is what has appealed me towards graphic design
most of all but also being able to leave your mark on society simply through the
products and work you make. Studying at university is also something I have
wanted to do for the experience and the benefits it gives you rather then if I was
to go straight into work I believe it’s a better and smarter path to where I want to
be.
Current Study
The Future
• For my future university has always been a big thing I have wanted
to aim for, the thought of the independence you get and how it
helps prepare you a bit more for the future is a big appeal but also I
believe that going through university is the best possible path for
me to get to where I want to be and succeed.
• Also meeting a ton of new people and getting a chance to start
fresh is a great opportunity, and I am also keen to learn new skills
and get a real hands on experience in graphic design would be great
and beneficial in the long run.
• Studying a year abroad or getting a chance in actual work
placement is a big opportunity you can get in university along with
competitions and events that give you a chance to make contacts
for the future with existing companies.
