Idea Evaluation
I will be mostly focusing on discussing wild spaces towards the elderly. I choose this
idea as I think wild spaces is the most important aspect about the York Wildlife Trust.
For example the amount of wildlife in within cities are drastically declining and the
best way to prove this is too discuss the issue with the elderly. Having interviews with
the older generation gives us a clear insight on what wild spaces was like before
compared to now. With B-roll style representations of this gives a clear contrast for
viewers to be able to witness an example of a while space instead of seeing someone
talk.
Development
• Development should include mood boards or other visual
examples of work. It could include basic mock ups of your
vision for the project using the work of others.
• These don’t need to be the same quality as your finished
pieces but they a good indicator of where your project is
going.
• As this is not final work, it may include work from others.
• You could include test work or practice work here too to
further develop your skills.

This font will be used as the informative information as well as
subtitling my questions. The simple and bold style is clear and easy
to read.
This font is best for titles such as a company logo. The fancy style works well with
the wildlife theme.
Assessment of final ideas
Suitability for audience:. Do you think your audience will engage with your ideas?
The mood board represents the nature reserves within York which would work perfectly
for b roll shots as well as ambient wild life sounds which my interviewee stated would be
better rather than music. My interviewee also stated to record animals but this may be
hard during the winter.
Suitability for client: Does your idea fulfil the brief your client gave you?
It fits perfectly since my client wanted simply a voxbox style interview with the eldery
and b-roll footage of York's nature reserves. I have found the necessary locations to
record and find interviewees.
Timescales: Is your project practical and manageable in the time you have?
I don’t think it will be manageable since it may be hard to find interviewees during the
winter. I have also assigned myself to use graphics to portray statistics and cartoons to
represents the interviewees answers however this will be hard due to the time I have
left.
Production Schedule:
You should prepare a production schedule that will allow you to manage your time over
the 4 weeks of production. This should include:
• Deadlines: Interim deadlines help you keep on track, final deadlines are final.
• Availability: The availability of the client and any other people you may need to help
you with your project. You will need to contact them. You might to do visit. You may
need to liaise with models, or photographers.
• Feedback: This is a working brief with a real client. You will need to get feedback on
your work and also allow yourself time to make appropriate changes. Plan appropriate
time in to you schedule so that you can do this.
• Resources: You should include a list of resources that you will need to complete your
project. Remember that this all needs to be your own work
