This document outlines a client project proposal for developing a music-themed mobile app tour of York. The first part involves brainstorming ideas, including two main concepts: a music trivia app with rewards and a blurred image guessing game to identify artists. The client chooses to develop the trivia app further. Subsequent sections include mood board examples, logo designs, and a sample trivia question mock-up for the app. A production schedule is outlined to manage the 4-week development timeline, including deadlines, client availability, feedback periods, and required resources.
2. Mind Maps/Brainstorms
Star by using the first few slides to create mind
maps and or brainstorms for ideas related to
your project. Get as many possibilities as you
can.
Don’t worry about practicality, suitability or
potential at this stage. You will assess the ideas
later.
6. Two Main Ideas
Idea 1: Music tour of York in which the person downloads an app
where they have to answer music trivia based on bands who
originate from York. The outcome of the tour is rewards. For example
free tickets to a secret gig, plus other rewards.
Idea 2: An image of a famous musical artists will appear on screen
however the image is very blurry and distorted so the user has no
clue who it is, the objective is to then go around York finding
different questions about the music business and industry each
question they get right the image will become less blurred then
overtime as they answer more questions with the correct answers
the image will become fully visible and then if they guess the artist
correctly they will win free tickets to that persons live performance
in York.
7. Idea Evaluation
Which of your ideas do you want to develop further? Explain why you think that is
the right idea to take forward.
The idea that I would like to develop further would definitely be the Music
based trivia app. I think this is the right idea to take forward because I have
a passion for music and I think to do a project based on something that
really interests you is massively helpful when it comes to creating an idea
like this. The extra knowledge that I have will come in very useful when
planning and then when it comes to the production element of this project.
Some of my other ideas were very good aswell but I felt that the music
elements was much more my scene rather than the history of York's oldest
buildings.
8. Development
• Development should include mood boards or other visual
examples of work. It could include basic mock ups of your
vision for the project using the work of others.
• These don’t need to be the same quality as your finished
pieces but they a good indicator of where your project is
going.
• As this is not final work, it may include work from others.
• You could include test work or practice work here too to
further develop your skills.
9. Developed Idea 1
Trivia question:
Which famous singer
used to drink in this
pub every Wednesday.

12. Assessment of final ideas
Suitability for audience:. Do you think your audience will engage with your ideas?
I'm hoping that my audience will engage with my ideas as it is music based but the music
genres are sort of aimed more towards the younger generation. I think if I had more
questions about artists and bands who were from an older generation then it wouldn’t
really work out as the new music wave is rolling in and people tend to listen to new
music and other upcoming artists.
Suitability for client: Does your idea fulfil the brief your client gave you?
My idea I’d say does fulfil the brief the client gave me as it is most definitely aimed at
young people.
Timescales: Is your project practical and manageable in the time you have?
Yes I believe my project is practical and manageable in the time that I have.
13. Production Schedule:
You should prepare a production schedule that will allow you to manage your time over
the 4 weeks of production. This should include:
• Deadlines: Interim deadlines help you keep on track, final deadlines are final.
• Availability: The availability of the client and any other people you may need to help
you with your project. You will need to contact them. You might to do visit. You may
need to liaise with models, or photographers.
• Feedback: This is a working brief with a real client. You will need to get feedback on
your work and also allow yourself time to make appropriate changes. Plan appropriate
time in to you schedule so that you can do this.
• Resources: You should include a list of resources that you will need to complete your
project. Remember that this all needs to be your own work
