8. The different pitches in music have names
to make it easier to identify them. There
are two ways of naming pitches. The first is
by using letter names. With letter names,
we use the letters A, B, C, D, E, F, and G
from the English alphabet to name pitches.
10. Sol-fa syllables are special syllables
used when reading pieces of music.
Just as there are seven letter names,
there are also seven sol-fa syllables:
Do, Re, Mi, Fa, Sol, La, and Ti or Si.
