Story Of The Hour And The Interlopers Essay
The comparison of The Interlopers, and Story of the Hour is quite easy, considering the two stories
only have a couple things in common. The Interlopers, is about two men whose families hate each
other and they have hated each other for centuries. the two men wonder upon each other one night and
are furious that they re on each others land. In the midst of arguing lightening strikes a tree, and traps
both of them under it. They call for help for hours only to gain attention of the things they wanted the
least, Wolves. Story of the Hour, is about a woman who dies from joy when she finds out her husband
has died. Her husbands best friend heard that he was on a train that had crashed, But both the audeince
and the woman don t know that he is alive until the end of the story, in which it is too late the ... Show

few minutes later, after listening in vain for an answering halloo. Ulrich finally sees something, but its

thought that her husband had died and that she would be free again. However the woman did have
heart troubles to begin with, she gave herself a heart attack just by over joy. She wasn t happy at first
as told in paragraph three, She sat with her head thrown back upon the cushion of the chair, quite
motionless, except when a sob came up into her throat and shook her, as a child who has cried itself to
sleep continues to sob in its dreams. It progresses to the stage of joy, it says in the very last sentence,
When the doctors came they said she had died of heart disease of the joy that kills. The differences in
the two stories are great, one is about someone dying from emotions, the other, two people die from

Mars Flight
JJ slipped in and out of consciousness, struggling to think straight, his mind racing as he reflected

Day 0: Pre launch; Earth
The moment humans have been waiting for for decades is finally here. The first manned flight to the
planet Mars, the furthest terrestrial planet from the Sun. After a century of only dreaming, it has
finally become a reality. So many years of planning went into making this first launch possible. Mars
orbit is the most eccentric of any planet in the Solar System. At it s fastest it moves at a speed of 26.50
km/s, slower than the Earth s and at it s point closest to Earth it is 55,700,000 km away [1]. All the
calculations to time it just right, all the brainpower of engineers working night and day, all the years of
selecting who would be the first man to ever get this close to our planetary neighbor.
Such a huge mission required selection of the best team. The most skilled and experienced advisors,
scientists, engineers, instrument readers gathered from all over the world to make this dream a
successful reality. This was The Team making this mission possible, but who would be the one to
actually experience it?
After multiple rounds of testing, elimination, and training, a lone astronaut was selected for this
monumental mission.

The School Of A Magnet Program And A Quest Program
The school houses 107 teachers, 1590 students within a magnet program and a quest program (gifted).
I feel that we have many internal leaders that play a key role in the successfulness of our school. The
external leaders would include parents, and different business within the community. Our school has
undergone many administrative and staff changes this year. I feel with that internal leaders have
stepped into the light for good influences and not so good rumor leaders. My school has always felt
like a family; wither you were faculty, student, or visitor, you always felt welcome. This year the
warm feel good feeling has dissipated a bit. The school has many veteran teachers that love their job.
In respects to the elementary teachers, they stay late and give their students 100% of them and it
shows. Children are smiling and eager to get to class. The walls are filled with student lead projects. I
can identify the internal leaders who are outspoken and who resolve issues. There is 5th grade teacher
who is team leader and she is amazing. If a problem arises instead of complaining she goes to her
team and creates a solution. In 5th grade the team is so influential due to the fact they work together so
well. They plan together and share ideas. When looking through data they delve deep to the root of the
problem and remediate students when needed. Educators must promote and build meaningful
relationships for all students and stakeholders in the community (Woody,

The Transportation Security Administration Is An Integral...
In our time, the Transportation Security Administration is an integral part of airports in the United
States. One cannot simply travel on a plane without going through the metal detectors or being
instructed to take off his or her shoes to check for bombs. Many travelers regard the TSA to be a
hassle, as it adds hours into the process of boarding a flight. Some treat it as a necessary evil; they
believe that the presence of the TSA is needed to offset the vulnerable state of airports. However, the
need for safety does not mean that the TSA is completely justified. The Transportation Security
Administration fails to do its job in serving the public. Its policies and practices infringe on people s
privacy, have questionable effectiveness, and pose health risks, while its employees behave
unprofessionally and have inadequate training for their jobs. Alternative security measures and
internal reform will help the Transportation Security Administration do its job better and raise public
opinion.
The year 2001 marked a radical shift in behavior at airports. Whereas before there were few
restrictions on baggage items, after the September 11 tragedy, the U.S. government significantly
tightened regulations regarding what could be taken on a plane. Two months later, in November 2001,
the Transportation Security Administration was formed after the Aviation and Transportation Security
Act was passed through Congress. The Council on Foreign Relations, a nonprofit organization,

What Is The Overall Process Of Memory Formation
Memories include many different stages of memory formation such as sensory memory, short term
memory and long term memory, which requires an intensive cascade of neuronal signalling in many
different regions in the brain in order to process. This brain wide process of memory formation
functions with each element of a memory (sights, sensations, emotions, sounds) being encoded in its
respective region of the brain that processes these responses and result in a reactivation of the same
neural patterns during recollection. Thus, this demonstrates the overall process of memory formation
which incorporates its ability to encode, store and recall information (Gibbs, M. E. Ng, K. T.,1977).

Chevy Truck Essay

67 72 Chevy Trucks In this paper, I will be explaining most, if not all, of the differences between 1967
1972 Chevrolet pickup trucks. What I mean when I say that is these trucks all have the same body
style, but a lot of little differences that I think make them better or worse. For example, the 1967
Chevy truck has no marker lights on both the front and rear quarter panels, which is one of the more
noticeable changes from the 1967 to 1968 models. There is a pattern in the styles they use like the
1967 and 1968 have the same grills and hoods. Then in 1969, the grill and hood change a little bit but
it is practically the same thing. The grill got a little bit of a change in 1970 but it is very minor and
hardly noticeable and 1971 and 1972 the grills ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The most visible change in telling the difference in a 1968 from a 1967 was the addition of side
marker reflectors on all fenders. Also, the small rear window cab was no longer available. Another
addition was the Custom Comfort and Convenience interior package that was better than the Standard
cab and more low class that the CST cab options. C10 or K10 models could be manufactured with
either a 115 inch wheel base with a 6 1/2 foot cargo box or 127 inch wheelbase with an 8 foot cargo
box available in Fleet side or Step side models. Standard Features included Full width seat with vinyl
trim, deluxe air heater/defroster, backup lights, painted front bumper because chrome bumpers are not
considered standard . Also the 1968 Chevy trucks came with a 2 speed windshield wiper and
directional signals. For about 160 dollars more, the CST (Custom Sport Truck) package could be
ordered which had all of the features listed above, plus Western style vinyl seats, roof rim molding,
carpeting for the floor panels and also for the gas tank, and break and gas pedal

The, Meridian Hill, And Lynne Rabinowitz
The Civil Rights Movement was a tumultuous era, not only did black activists and leaders fight for
their inalienable rights but there were also many gender, racial and generational conflicts within the
Movement. In the novel Meridian by Alice Walker, the three central characters, Truman Held,
Meridian Hill, and Lynne Rabinowitz are young passionate activists during the Civil Rights
Movement. However, the relationship of genders and the racial and generational dynamics mold and
influence the actions of the characters. In this essay, I will argue that Meridian is forced to constantly
collide and reconcile with past generations, Truman is self conflicted with the idea of abandoning his
African roots, and Lynne is conflicted with the idea of white guilt. Lynne Rabinowitz escapes her
Jewish northern life in order to experience the suffering of the other side in order to satiate her white
guilt and her lack of diversity. She is given a chance to prove herself when she encounters Tommy
Odds, she wished she could go to the police, but she was more afraid of them than she was of Tommy
Odds, because they would attack young black men in the community indiscriminately and the people
she wanted most to see protected would suffer (176). Even after being raped by Tommy, she doesn t
think she has the right to approach the police. Her participation in the

The Russian Avant Garde and the Bolshevik Revolution Essay
The Russian Avant Garde and the Bolshevik Revolution
The Russian Avant Garde began in Russia in about 1915 It was the year that Malevich revealed his
Suprematist compositions that reduced painting to total abstraction. and rid the pictures of any
reference whatsoever to the visual world. He is credited with being the first artist to do this; that is,
forsake the visual world for a world of pure feeling and sensation. This was the first movement
originated by Russians and the birth of several other Avant Garde movements. Probably the most
popular piece at his 1915 exhibition was BLACK SQUARE (real name suprematist composition . It s
basically a black square on a slightly larger white square that forms a border around it. It was hung ...

There had been a smaller Capitalist revolution in February that year but the October Revolution
completely usurped it. After the October Revolution both Tatlin and Malevich opened up art schools.
Malevich s Suprematist school was similar in style but not ideology to the De Stijl movement in
Holland, while the Constructivist school of Tatlin s had links to the German Bauhaus. The October
revolution had been a primarily proletariat revolution and proletarians have proven to be somewhat
negative in their attitude to new, radical confronting art styles and this was no exception. Both schools
realised they had to prove their worth, so to speak. The new communist government saw artists as
elite. A few things transpired to change the soviet government s ideas about these artists.
Rodchenko was proud of the fact that the leftist artists had been the first to come to work with the
Bolshevik comrades. There was a Constructivist manifesto released in 1922,( when Constructivism
had reached its Zenith and had started ever so slowly to decline,) stating that the movement as a whole
was trying to build the intellectual material production of Communist culture . The general mood
among the Avant Garde was one of completely embracing the Bolshevik ideal. Perhaps this is why
they were given so much freedom. From all accounts, the leftist artists felt very supported by the
government.

Positive And Negative Effects Of The 18th Amendment
January 19th of 1919 marks the era of the nation wide alcohol prohibition in America. The ratification
of the Eighteenth Amendment banned the manufacture, sale, and transportation of alcohol in the
United States, which caused majors shifts in society and the nation as a whole. Several years later, in
1933, the Twenty First Amendment was added to the U.S. Constitution and repealed the Eighteenth
Amendment. As stated in Section 1 of Amendment XXI, The eighteenth article of amendment to the
Constitution of the United States is hereby repealed (U.S. Constitution). While both the Eighteenth
Amendment and the Twenty First Amendment brought major changes to America, the Eighteenth
Amendment had more of a negative effect on the nation than the Twenty First because the economy
and public health both declined, and crime rates skyrocketed. In 1928, President Herbert Hoover
described prohibition as, A great social and economic experiment, noble in motive and far reaching in
purpose (Hoover). Unfortunately, the Eighteenth Amendment was only a failed experiment. First of
all, the Eighteenth Amendment negatively impacted the economy. Initially, prohibition supporters
anticipated a variety of markets to boom. However, historian Michael Lerner, states, Prohibition
supporters were initially surprised by what did not come to pass during the dry era (Lerner). More
specifically, real estate developers, theaters, and chewing gum and soda companies all expected an

My Mother Influenced Me
Out of everyone in my life I feel as if my mother is the person who influences me most. My mother is
someone who is very sweet and would do anything for her kids as well as her family to make sure
they are happy and smiling. As I started to grow up and started to go out and be more independent that
is when I started to realize what an impact my mom has on my life. Growing up my parents were
divorced and my mom was the one who basically raised me on her own. She showed me right from

my mom was always right by my side and accepted my dreams and wanted me to go out and pursue
every dream I have. And now looking back at everything my mom has taught me I can t thank her

brown hair, brown eyes how ever the only difference is she is only five feet tall! I can always tell

Analysis Of Artemisia Gentileschi s Judith Beheading...
Artemisia Gentileschi s Judith Beheading Holofernes
Although now praised for her work as an incredibly accomplished, feminist artist, Artemisia
Gentileschi s works were nearly expunged from history by those who believed her incapable of such
skill. As a female painter in the 17th century she faced innumerable challenges in pursuing work as an
artist, including, but not limited to; her exclusion from apprenticeship in the arts, the damage sustained
to her reputation after a lengthy rape trial in which she was tortured to prove her credibility and
subsequent defamation after the trial. After her death critics claimed her work as her father s or
husband s, not until recently did she begin to see the credit she deserved (Poggioli, 2016). One of her

These works both demonstrate her use of dramatic chiaroscuro, most likely as a result of the influence
of Caravaggio in her training, and her vivid use of color, as well as her ability to capture a moment in
time on canvas (Art History Archive).
In Judith Slaying Holofernes (V. II.) circa 1620, Gentileschi depicts the climactic moment of the
biblical story in which Judith, with the help of her maidservant, decapitates Holofernes. While a
popular subject to be painted at the time, Gentileschi s depiction is unique in the way that she ...creates
a far more violent and graphic scene, dramatizing the intense physical effort required on the part of
Judith and her maid to kill their enemy... (Visual Arts Cork). In fact, Cosimo de Medici, for whom this
work was commissioned for, kept the work hidden from public view on account of how graphic it was
(Conliffe, 2016). Her portrayal differs greatly from the way many painters at the time painted this
story, specifically in the way that both Judith and her maidservant are much more physically and
purposefully involved in this act of violence. It is important to

The Role of the Concept of Need and Inequality Social Policy
From the inauguration of state organised welfare the concepts of need and inequality have been at the
centre of discussions and debates on social policy. Since the 19th century it has widely been accepted
that the state has some responsibility towards attempting to fulfil some of civil society s needs and the
needs of those most at risk. Changing definitions and attitudes surround the concepts of need and
inequality; this means any discussion of these instantly encapsulates the political and ideological
debates which affect all aspects of social policy. Titmuss (ed. 1987) writes that collectively provided
services are deliberately designed to meet certain socially recognized needs ; they are manifestations

Yet there were many different ideas on what was seen as real need and who was seen as deserving of
welfare. In the Victorian era people were either deemed as deserving or undeserving poor; basically
meaning that their poverty was either created by their own failings such as alcohol abuse or by
eventualities which were out of their control such as job losses or illness (thus making them
deserving) (Fraser, 1984). With the expansion of State welfare, and the bureaucracy which came with
it, the poor were no longer categorised into deserving or undeserving instead their needs were
assessed. The introduction of the means test established a way of determining the extent of the needs
of people. Although this may appear a fair way of organising welfare it has in fact had detrimental
effects; according to Deacon Bradshaw (1983) the means test is socially divisive as it has given rise to
gross distortions in the distribution of income amongst poorer families . This system has also failed to
deliver benefits to many people who need them as the means tested service has reflected values
approved by society for example marriage, thus leaving those who do not conform to these values in a
worse position financially (Deacon Bradshaw, 1983). Although means testing should essentially
redistribute wealth through taxation, evidence has shown that it has done little to combat

Hunger Games
The Hunger Games This paper is to be a discussion of The Hunger Games. It is mostly going to
include a discussion of the main themes of the movie and how the director presents these themes in
forms of characters, the environment, etc. The Hunger Games is about a girl called Katniss Everdeen,
a girl from district 12 who voluntarily takes her younger sister´s place as tribute in the Hunger Games,
a televised fight to the death in which two teenagers from each of the twelve Districts of Panem are
chosen at random to compete until death. There is more than one main theme in this movie; some
examples of these are the inequality between rich and poor, suffering as entertainment and the
importance of appearances. Some questions that need to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The principle is best exemplified in Cato s slow death at the end of the movie. Once the dogs have
defeated Cato, they don t kill him immediately, and Katniss realizes that the Gamemakers want Cato
to remain alive because it creates an exceedingly gruesome spectacle. It is the finale of the Games, and
so they want to deliver prolonged suffering the audience at home won t be able to turn away from. The
suffering, however, doesn t have to be purely physical. It can be psychological as well. Katniss s and
Peeta s romance, for instance, is the subject of so much fascination because it is presumed to be
doomed. The Gamemakers changed the rules of the game just so they could get closer to each other,
and in the end they changed it back so they had to kill each other in order to win. They always try to
create as much suffering as possible for the tributes. Throughout the movie, Katniss and her team use
her external appearance, including what she says and how she behaves, to control how other people
perceive her. At the reaping ceremony, for instance, she won t allow herself to cry in front of the
cameras because she doesn t want to give the impression of being weak (and therefore an easy target).
Furthermore, at the opening ceremony of the Games, the novel emphasizes how important
appearances are by focusing a great deal on Katniss s preparations. The main feature of this

Pneumonia has been around for a very long time, killing millions of people every year especially in
undeveloped countries. It s a huge problem when it comes to infants and the elderly. African
Americans suffer greatly from catching pneumonia because they don t get vaccinated. Despite the
disease being around for a long time and vaccinations being openly available it s still the seventh
leading cause of disease in countries like America and an even larger complication in undeveloped

They are non motile organisms meaning they re unable to swim or move on their own. There are over

develop a vaccine for this bacterium. If streptococcus is allowed to persist in the lungs it can invade
the blood, which causes bacteremia. When in the blood it can cross the blood brain barrier and infect

Neonatal Behavioral Assessment Scale ( Nbas )
After the birth of an infant, physical conditions are evaluated using the Apgar or Neonatal Behavioral
Assessment Scale (NBAS). The commonly used method is the Apgar, which measures five vital signs,
including the infants breathing, heartbeat, reflexes, skin, and muscle tone. Each area is scored at 1 and
5 minutes and can have a score of 0 2 in each area. The maximum points is 10, which means a baby is
in the best possible condition. The NBAS measures the same vitals as the Apgar and also evaluates
vision, hearing, alertness, and irritability. The baby s birth weight is another important indicator of
health. In general, small babies and very large babies are at greater risk or problems. Infant s weight is
monitored daily in the nursery to assess growth, fluid, and nutritional needs. It is common for babies
to lose 5 7%. Of their birth weight and usually gain it back by two weeks of age. The infant s
measurements are also taken. These include the head circumference, abdominal circumference, and
length. During the physical exam of the newborn each body system is carefully examined for signs of
health and normal function. Each of these exams are important ways to learn about an infant s well
being at birth.
Infants are born with a number if reflexes that help them to adjust outside of the womb and serve as
the foundation for future behavior. Reflexes are an indication of whether or not an infant s nervous
system is functional. Some of these reflexes last for a few weeks

Brazil Independence Movement
Brazilian Economic Booms through History The beginning phase of the economic boom in Brazil was
in 1500. The first exported item that brought outside interest was Brazilian wood. Mainly, it was
logged and exported to Northern Europe for the purpose of creating red dye for textiles. As a result of
the logging industry s rise, metal products for cutting and logging purposes were also high in demand
and often traded. This attracted both Portuguese and French ships in hopes of trading metal products.
This era lasted until 1550. As the logging industry was in high demand, another agricultural boom was
taking place. Sugarcane became the next major export within Brazil. In 1530, as the Portuguese

During the time of the coffee boom, another industry was beginning to rise. By the late 1930s,
agricultural industries began to take a back seat to industrialization of the cities. Even as times were
changing however, Brazil remained one of the world s top coffee producers. From 1880 until roughly
1919, the Amazon rain forest became and economic attraction because of its vast resources of rubber
trees. Soon, such large quantities were being exported by Europe that mass production of the resource
took over in other parts of the world by European plantations which drove the costs down. The British,
Dutch and French plantations of Southeast Asia soon took over the lead in this industry. Within 10
years of the rubber industries decline, the top economic boom and most self sustaining boom for the
country began. In the 1930s industrialization took over as the major economic force of the nation. As
agricultural resources were no longer able to sustain a totally rural existence, the draw of jobs within
factories in the cities brought many new employment opportunities for farmhands who were left out of
work. The industrialization of Brazil and it s abilities to mass produce items rather than just raw
materials changed the face of the Brazilian economy. The boom continues today with the ability to

Hitler Appeasement
Appeasement is to give in to the demands to avoid war. European leaders decided appeasement was
the best thing to practice rather than taking Military action against Hitler. One reason was in nineteen
thirty five Hitler began to break rules that were set in the Treaty of Versailles. European leaders were
aware that the League of Nations would prevent Europe from getting involved in a war so they did not
need to worry about Hitler taking over other countries. Lastly was World War I had just ended and
Europe could not economically afford another war.

The Extreme Expansion Of The Meat Industry
Today the industries are now dominated by a handful of huge corporations that process most of the
country s meat at several facilities across the country. As of 2007, four huge companies controlled the
processing of over 80% of the country s beef and three of these same companies process over 60% of
the country s pork. Chicken processing provides over half the country s chicken supply and even the
same situation exists for turkey meat. These four major companies are Tyson, JBS, Cargill, and
Smithfield Foods. As a result of all, meatpacking companies have become increasingly powerful,
while the government bodies that regulate them have done barely anything to keep them in line. The

We do not want another family to have to suffer as our family did. Other diseases like Salmonella and
Campylobacter can also be introduced. In addition to these food safety risks, the use of hazardous
machinery and sharp knives can injure workers when mistakes are made. This danger is exacerbated
by the increasingly rapid speeds at which workers are expected to slaughter and process animals. This
can also cause AIDS and HIV when they come in contact with our foods, if workers get injured while
processing meats. The Federal health authorities have estimated that foodborne diseases affect 1 in 6
Americans, which is over 48 million people. These diseases cause 128,000 hospitalizations and kill
3,000 Americans every year. Likewise, a number of studies have confirmed the presence of harmful

order to lower profits, meat processors have continually increased the speed of their production lines.
Twenty years ago, meatpacking plants slaughtered about 175 cattle an hour, but due to increased line

Mr. Pirzada s Cultural Identity
Throughout Lahiri s narrative, a Bengali man named Mr. Pirzada comes to eat with Lillia and her
family. As the story progresses, and Mr. Pirzada becomes especially significant to the little girl, and
his presence allows Lillia to realize and understand her cultural identity as an Indian American.
Pumpkins, leading up to and on the night of Halloween, are symbolic for cultural identity in this short
story.
Upon an unspecified day in October, Mr. Pirzada notices pumpkins distributed throughout Lillia s
neighborhood. Asking Lillia about the alien vegetables, Mr. Pirzada has never seen them before. The
next day, Lillia s mother buys a ten pound pumpkin. When she tells Lillia to decorate it with a marker,

Pirzada agrees with the girl; Asking no questions, he walked into the kitchen, opened a drawer, and
returned, bearing a long serrated knife. He glanced at me for approval (35). Instructing Mr. Pirzada on
how to create a proper jack o lantern, Lillia observes that he is able to carve well. During the creation
process of the jack o lantern, news concerning Dacca, Mr. Pirzada s hometown and the dwelling of his
family, appears on the television. Slipping from his hand, the knife makes a gash, ruining the
otherwise perfect pumpkin. When Mr. Pirzada carves the jack o lantern, it is as if he is simulating
what it is like to be an average American, something which he is not, by creating a jack o lantern, a
quintessential part of American Halloween. When he is reminded of his true identity, of Dacca and of
Bangladesh, his otherwise perfect pumpkin becomes blemished. This occurrence represents how one
cannot deny their identity, that it is a part of them which affects the way in which they act and the
feelings that they feel. For Lillia, a perfect jack o lantern represents an average American, and when a
non American screws up the carving process, this shows that one cannot take up an identity which is

T Cell ) In step one, the entry of the virus requires certain receptors from the host cell such as a CD4.
In addition, these receptors are composed of two glycoproteins that are embedded in the viral
envelope. ( Kestens, P. ) By approaching the target, the cells of a gp120 connects to the CD4 receptors
and the transmembrane gp41 is capable of transferring its information into the cell membrane.
Uniquely, this process creates a pathway for the virus to fuse with the host cell. When it enters the cell

Analysis Of Angry Birds Match
What is Angry Birds Match?
Angry Birds Match is Rovio Games sixteenth entry in their ever popular series of action puzzle games
for mobile and tablet devices. The game launched for iOS on November 11th, 2016 and on Android on
August 31st, 2017. The app is available for download on all current iOS and Android devices (later
than Android 5.0). The game also ties into the recently released feature film The Angry Birds Movie
(2016) and its tie in television series, Blues.
The main storyline of this game focuses on you rescuing Hatchlings from pigs by solving puzzles. The
Bad Piggies want to disrupt the eternal party of the Hatchlings via some well placed petty theft for
mysterious, spiteful reasons as yet unknown. This injustice is resolved by you clearing levels to return
the Hatchling s stuff and things to their rightful owners.
Unlike some of the previous games in the series, this entry is a casual gaming puzzler similar in style
to Candy Crush. The gameplay focuses heavily on three in a row tile matching. You must clear your
way through an enormous series of challenge maps across many worlds, stretching to more than 1000
levels. There are many different objectives for each map. These range from simply removing all the
pigs from play to placing different tiles together to reach a set number of combos.
The main game differs quite a bit from Candy Crush, however. If you ve ever played Tetris, Dig Dug,
or Bubble Bobble, you may recognise a few of the casual gaming mechanics here.
Early on, your main objectives will be centred on finding a way to pop the green piggies (the natural
enemy of the enraged avian) by completing block combinations next to them. Features such as glass,
mud, glue, crates, and bricks and some additional objectives will make it harder for you to beat levels
as you progress. Bird based special attacks can also be used to clear levels. Chaining blocks together
in certain ways will cause Red, Chuck, and Bomb to materialise into play. Each has their own style of
special ability with which to use to clear the field.
New to this game is a shop, reward chests, and unique loot. You can progress through purchasing
items with a currency system based around coins and gems. Buying or

Anderson Plastics Inc. Company Essay
Case Study
In this case study Roger Gray and the Anderson Plastics Inc. Company has a many purchasing
problems and concerns. All of these problems are not directly caused my Roger Gray himself or the
purchasing department. In this report I will explain these problems and recommend ways in which
these problems can be resolved.
One problem in this company is the lack of staff in the purchasing department. The plants number of
products has increased from 250 to 550 and Roger Gray is still the only real purchasing agent for the
company. I believe with more help Roger Gray could spend more time monitoring inventories instead
of filling out order forms on the computer. If Roger Gray could have more help with doing the simple
tasks in this ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Holding more of the stock on hand would also be an appropriate way to help prevent stock outs. The
company has never criticized Roger Gray for having too many items in stock. It is not necessary to
hold the extra items that you don t sell as much in stock, just the primary items. By holding more of
the primary resources in stock you will still be able to produce the items that generate the most
income. This will help keep customers happy, and will also keep some of the plant running saving
some money for the company.
The materials management systems need to be updated. They are never truly up to date or real time
amounts. The case says that the systems are usually a day or two behind so Roger never actually
knows what he has in stock. In order for Roger Gray to be able to do his job more effectively it would
help if he knew what he had on hand at any given time. Upgraded computer and company software
and hardware as a whole would make the company more efficient. The company may also need to find
a different way of controlling and monitoring stock numbers. Possibly people could alert Roger or one
of his fellow staff members when they are taking a load of materials to a new place or area of the plant
so he is aware of where everything is at all times. Another issue within the company is the lack of
communication from one department to the other. This was the cause of one of the stock outs

Performance Analysis
A Monologue is an extended, uninterrupted speech by a character in drama. It is used to experience
and understand the thoughts and/or feelings of the character. The task required a four to five minute
solo production on a character using various forms of theatre and a creative, original idea.
The theme of my performance was Your Past Haunts Your Present. This was represented in the
performance where Katie, the protagonist, set out on a journey to escape her constant fear of being
brutally attacked. She suffers from post traumatic stress after this event. The actions of talking to a
counsellor about the traumatic experience and proving the attacker guilty were all steps to contribute
to her recovery. It seemed that this did not help her ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Some aspects of the performance could have been improved dramatically on the solo performance in
general.
The performance as an experience, confidence building and extended myself outside of my comfort
zone which was a challenge. Within a group situation this issue is not an issue at all. I was not being
completely comfortable in my character. I thought I was taking a risk which perhaps may have been
too great.
Many improvements could have been made enhance my performance to a higher level. A suggestion
which was thought of after the fact was to punch glass with a clenched fist with one hand rather than
two hands and smashing it side ways. This was the weakest point of my performance and made me
lose confident with my acting.
Despite the fact scene one ended too abruptly that it was a technical issue, rather than my own it
influenced my performance to the extent some may not have made sense.
The performance itself was adequate however it could have been improved. Playing a person suffering
from PTS was interesting and complex. It allowed me to practice my dramatic skills and extend
myself overall. The pitch of my voice could have been improved, and stronger, but it seemed to suit
my character well. Pauses are used to emphasis important phrases. Long, necessary pauses contributed
to my play especially in the third and final scene. Although my character had a low, troubled voice,
projection always has to be good and my voice could

The Ethics Of A Civil Engineer
We first deal with the ethical implication of ASCE preparing the report card and the benefit, which
benefits the engineers. The implication of the ASCE should be about moral neutral group of people to
prepare to the report card. Civil engineers should have Presence and obligations to the public as they
should in any other places .so a person who can be swayed by political corruption and bribery, shouldn

The primary concern of a civil engineer should always be the safety, health, and welfare of the public.
Working in any field should never compromise on moral principles at work. for example if a project
takes place in an area prone to natural disasters should not be used as an excuse to cut concerns when
it comes to safety. An engineer should make every effort to complete it to their client s full
satisfaction; an engineer should make every effort to complete it to their client s full satisfaction;

questions like the: composure of universe, interaction of fundamental entities of this creation,
questions that might be asked and techniques employed to seek answers and solutions to these
questions.

Although both of them are scientist, here we are confronted with the thought that we as human beings
have our own ideas and we develop them within a circle of people that share the same thoughts as us.
We limit ourselves to other assumptions and ideas and when faced with these ideas we are restricted to
our knowledge to accept an opinion which is different from our own. Usually we are open to interpret
the world around us the way we see it which offers a conform for us and our surroundings.
Another point that the book addresses best is the observance of existing paradigms from scientists.
Kuhn calls these as anomalies, and when they build up to validate one another, a new paradigm will
emerge and the old paradigm bursts. These shifts are mostly known as scientific revolutions, which
help us realize that the surroundings around us are different from what we are used to. For example, X
Rays were discovered by mistake, attesting that from an anomaly we came to discover new valuable
apparatus that are necessary to the human beings nowadays, this discovery put scientists to work and
understand how X Rays could be used.

Symbolism In Christmas Carol
Did you know that symbols are all around us?
Symbolism is when we use an image or thing to represent another idea. It is very important in the play
A Christmas Carol and is used every day. In the play they use the three ghost as symbolism for
example the ghost of Christmas past symbolised a kind of happy character because she is dressed in
light colors and she shows him his past which made him happy and cries tears of joy, the ghost of
Christmas future represents darkness because he shows all the bad things that are about to happen if he
does not change and one of them is he shows Scrooge his grave!! Another symbolism is sadness
because the ghost of Christmas present shows Scrooge how his worker is poor and his son could die
soon.Happiness symbolized by the ghost of Christmas past, darkness symbolized by the ghost of
Christmas future, sadness symbolized b ghost of Christmas present. Symbolism in A Christmas Carol
is important because they represent happiness, darkness, sadness and some symbolism and this is why.
Happiness is one important part of this story wanna know why? The ghost of Christmas past is a
symbolism of happiness and there are lots of reasons why. In the story A Christmas Carol the ghost of
Christmas past shows Scrooge his past Christmases. The ghost brought him back to when he was
sitting alone on Christmas reading a book and he could not leave and it showed how he use to love
books and how he use to act out as if he was in the book when he was reading like he pretended he
was fighting off pirates and defending a map. The ghost of Christmas past brings also brings him back
to when his sister comes and visits him and tells him his father would like him back and that made
him very happy to hear, also his teacher of his school gives him a notebook to write in and that ended
up being a very important book to him. It had become an important book to him because he started a
new business and he wrote a lot of the stuff for his business in the book that his teacher had given him.
She brought him back to the time when his new business opened up and everyone had been so happy

Australia s Current Beef Export Of Live Animals
Recently there have been a number of questions raised here providing controversy surrounding the

The case for live beef export industry
Live beef export refers to the transportation of live cattle from nation to another; Australian cattle
mainly destined to be slaughtered overseas in countries such as Indonesia, Southeast Asia and the
Middles East. (http://www.rspca.org.au/campaigns/live export/live cattle exports)
The Australian government has a responsibility to ensure that exporters maintain a high standard of
animal welfare throughout the exporters chain, for the sake of the exported livestock, farmers,
exporters and communities that rely on livestock for their livelihood.
(http://www.agriculture.gov.au/export/live animals/livestock/about)
The livestock industry trade is a significant part of rural Australia and to the red meat industry. Since
mid 70s the trade has grown considerably to become a part of Australia s agriculture export earnings.

In The Skin Of A Lion Essay
The Unknown History
The genre of historical fiction is loved by many authors as it allows them to use the past as an
inspiration while writing a fictional story that will captivate the readers. In the novel In the Skin of a
Lion by Michael Ondaatje, the rich history is explored throughout the novel with the theme of the
unfair treatment of immigrants, the construction of both the Bloor Street Viaduct and the Queen Street
Waterworks and the character of Rowland Harris. By looking at the historical facts in the novel, we
can see why it s considered a historical fiction novel, which most readers fail to recognize; this is
important because Ondaatje chooses this writing style so that the readers can learn about the rich
history of Toronto through ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In the novel, Ondaatje names him Rowland Harris and he s a secondary character in the story.
However, that being said, Rowland Harris is portrayed as a visionary, a dreamer and an achiever. The
author does a great job of bringing this character in the story all while maintaining some great
accomplishments in his life. Roland Harris envisioned a lot of aspects that Toronto now has. During
Harris and Patrick s conversation at The Queen Street Waterworks, Harris says It turned out I was
dreaming about projects for the city that had been rejected over the years. Wonderful things that were
said to be too vulgar or expensive, too this too that. (Ondaatje 237) Roland Harris was a great architect
for the city of Toronto, he was a visionary and wanted to make the city of Toronto grow. This is
directly linked to Toronto s history and Ondaatje uses that secondary character who the readers don t
see a lot throughout the book to talk about someone who dreamed big for Toronto. Harris even says to
Patrick I mean the Bloor Street Viaduct and this building here are just a hint of what could have been
done here. (Ondaatje 237) For someone who was a visionary for Toronto, the sky would have been the
limit if he had the money and the right to keep making the city grow. The Character of Harris has
played a valuable part in the way Toronto is shaped today and Ondaatje knew

The Interlopers, is about two men whose families hate each other and they have hated each other for centuries. the two men wonder upon each other one night and are furious that they re on each others land. In the midst of arguing lightening strikes a tree, and traps both of them under it. They call for help for hours only to gain attention of the things they wanted the least, Wolves. Story of the Hour, is about a woman who dies from joy when she finds out her husband has died. Day 0: Pre launch; Earth The moment humans have been waiting for for decades is finally here. The first manned flight to the planet Mars, the furthest terrestrial planet from the Sun. After a century of only dreaming, it has finally become a reality. So many years of planning went into making this first launch possible. Mars orbit is the most eccentric of any planet in the Solar System. At it s fastest it moves at a speed of 26.50 km/s, slower than the Earth s and at it s point closest to Earth it is 55,700,000 km away [1]. All the calculations to time it just right, all the brainpower of engineers working night and day, all the years of selecting who would be the first man to ever get this close to our planetary neighbor. The most skilled and experienced advisors, scientists, engineers, instrument readers gathered from all over the world to make this dream a successful reality. Our school has undergone many administrative and staff changes this year. I feel with that internal leaders have stepped into the light for good influences and not so good rumor leaders. My school has always felt like a family; wither you were faculty, student, or visitor, you always felt welcome. This year the warm feel good feeling has dissipated a bit. The school has many veteran teachers that love their job. In respects to the elementary teachers, they stay late and give their students 100% of them and it shows. Children are smiling and eager to get to class. The walls are filled with student lead projects. I can identify the internal leaders who are outspoken and who resolve issues. • 5. The Transportation Security Administration Is An Integral... In our time, the Transportation Security Administration is an integral part of airports in the United States. One cannot simply travel on a plane without going through the metal detectors or being instructed to take off his or her shoes to check for bombs. Many travelers regard the TSA to be a hassle, as it adds hours into the process of boarding a flight. Some treat it as a necessary evil; they believe that the presence of the TSA is needed to offset the vulnerable state of airports. However, the need for safety does not mean that the TSA is completely justified. The Transportation Security Administration fails to do its job in serving the public. Its policies and practices infringe on people s privacy, have questionable effectiveness, and pose health risks, while its employees behave unprofessionally and have inadequate training for their jobs. Alternative security measures and internal reform will help the Transportation Security Administration do its job better and raise public opinion. The year 2001 marked a radical shift in behavior at airports. Whereas before there were few restrictions on baggage items, after the September 11 tragedy, the U.S. government significantly tightened regulations regarding what could be taken on a plane. Two months later, in November 2001, the Transportation Security Administration was formed after the Aviation and Transportation Security Act was passed through Congress. What Is The Overall Process Of Memory Formation Memories include many different stages of memory formation such as sensory memory, short term memory and long term memory, which requires an intensive cascade of neuronal signalling in many different regions in the brain in order to process. This brain wide process of memory formation functions with each element of a memory (sights, sensations, emotions, sounds) being encoded in its respective region of the brain that processes these responses and result in a reactivation of the same neural patterns during recollection. Thus, this demonstrates the overall process of memory formation which incorporates its ability to encode, store and recall information (Gibbs, M. E. Ng, K. T.,1977). Chevy Truck Essay Nick Wittrock Ms. DeGreef English IV 10 March 17 67 72 Chevy Trucks In this paper, I will be explaining most, if not all, of the differences between 1967 1972 Chevrolet pickup trucks. What I mean when I say that is these trucks all have the same body style, but a lot of little differences that I think make them better or worse. For example, the 1967 Chevy truck has no marker lights on both the front and rear quarter panels, which is one of the more noticeable changes from the 1967 to 1968 models. There is a pattern in the styles they use like the 1967 and 1968 have the same grills and hoods. Then in 1969, the grill and hood change a little bit but it is practically the same thing. The grill got a little bit of a change in 1970 but it is very minor and hardly noticeable and 1971 and 1972 the grills ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The, Meridian Hill, And Lynne Rabinowitz The Civil Rights Movement was a tumultuous era, not only did black activists and leaders fight for their inalienable rights but there were also many gender, racial and generational conflicts within the Movement. In the novel Meridian by Alice Walker, the three central characters, Truman Held, Meridian Hill, and Lynne Rabinowitz are young passionate activists during the Civil Rights Movement. However, the relationship of genders and the racial and generational dynamics mold and influence the actions of the characters. In this essay, I will argue that Meridian is forced to constantly collide and reconcile with past generations, Truman is self conflicted with the idea of abandoning his African roots, and Lynne is conflicted with the idea of white guilt. Lynne Rabinowitz escapes her Jewish northern life in order to experience the suffering of the other side in order to satiate her white guilt and her lack of diversity. She is given a chance to prove herself when she encounters Tommy Odds, she wished she could go to the police, but she was more afraid of them than she was of Tommy Odds, because they would attack young black men in the community indiscriminately and the people she wanted most to see protected would suffer (176). He is credited with being the first artist to do this; that is, forsake the visual world for a world of pure feeling and sensation. This was the first movement originated by Russians and the birth of several other Avant Garde movements. There had been a smaller Capitalist revolution in February that year but the October Revolution completely usurped it. After the October Revolution both Tatlin and Malevich opened up art schools. Malevich s Suprematist school was similar in style but not ideology to the De Stijl movement in Holland, while the Constructivist school of Tatlin s had links to the German Bauhaus. The October revolution had been a primarily proletariat revolution and proletarians have proven to be somewhat negative in their attitude to new, radical confronting art styles and this was no exception. Both schools realised they had to prove their worth, so to speak. The new communist government saw artists as elite. A few things transpired to change the soviet government s ideas about these artists. Rodchenko was proud of the fact that the leftist artists had been the first to come to work with the Bolshevik comrades. There was a Constructivist manifesto released in 1922,( when Constructivism had reached its Zenith and had started ever so slowly to decline,) stating that the movement as a whole was trying to build the intellectual material production of Communist culture . The general mood among the Avant Garde was one of completely embracing the Bolshevik ideal. Perhaps this is why they were given so much freedom. • 10. Positive And Negative Effects Of The 18th Amendment January 19th of 1919 marks the era of the nation wide alcohol prohibition in America. The ratification of the Eighteenth Amendment banned the manufacture, sale, and transportation of alcohol in the United States, which caused majors shifts in society and the nation as a whole. Several years later, in 1933, the Twenty First Amendment was added to the U.S. Constitution and repealed the Eighteenth Amendment. As stated in Section 1 of Amendment XXI, The eighteenth article of amendment to the Constitution of the United States is hereby repealed (U.S. Constitution). While both the Eighteenth Amendment and the Twenty First Amendment brought major changes to America, the Eighteenth Amendment had more of a negative effect on the nation than the Twenty First because the economy and public health both declined, and crime rates skyrocketed. In 1928, President Herbert Hoover described prohibition as, A great social and economic experiment, noble in motive and far reaching in purpose (Hoover). Unfortunately, the Eighteenth Amendment was only a failed experiment. First of all, the Eighteenth Amendment negatively impacted the economy. Initially, prohibition supporters anticipated a variety of markets to boom. Growing up my parents were divorced and my mom was the one who basically raised me on her own. • 12. Analysis Of Artemisia Gentileschi s Judith Beheading... Artemisia Gentileschi s Judith Beheading Holofernes Although now praised for her work as an incredibly accomplished, feminist artist, Artemisia Gentileschi s works were nearly expunged from history by those who believed her incapable of such skill. As a female painter in the 17th century she faced innumerable challenges in pursuing work as an artist, including, but not limited to; her exclusion from apprenticeship in the arts, the damage sustained to her reputation after a lengthy rape trial in which she was tortured to prove her credibility and subsequent defamation after the trial. After her death critics claimed her work as her father s or husband s, not until recently did she begin to see the credit she deserved (Poggioli, 2016). One of her most famous ... • 13. The Role of the Concept of Need and Inequality Social Policy From the inauguration of state organised welfare the concepts of need and inequality have been at the centre of discussions and debates on social policy. Since the 19th century it has widely been accepted that the state has some responsibility towards attempting to fulfil some of civil society s needs and the needs of those most at risk. Changing definitions and attitudes surround the concepts of need and inequality; this means any discussion of these instantly encapsulates the political and ideological debates which affect all aspects of social policy. Titmuss (ed. 1987) writes that collectively provided services are deliberately designed to meet certain socially recognized needs ; they are manifestations this means any changes ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Yet there were many different ideas on what was seen as real need and who was seen as deserving of welfare. In the Victorian era people were either deemed as deserving or undeserving poor; basically meaning that their poverty was either created by their own failings such as alcohol abuse or by eventualities which were out of their control such as job losses or illness (thus making them deserving) (Fraser, 1984). With the expansion of State welfare, and the bureaucracy which came with it, the poor were no longer categorised into deserving or undeserving instead their needs were assessed. The introduction of the means test established a way of determining the extent of the needs of people. Although this may appear a fair way of organising welfare it has in fact had detrimental effects; according to Deacon Bradshaw (1983) the means test is socially divisive as it has given rise to gross distortions in the distribution of income amongst poorer families . This system has also failed to deliver benefits to many people who need them as the means tested service has reflected values approved by society for example marriage, thus leaving those who do not conform to these values in a worse position financially (Deacon Bradshaw, 1983). Although means testing should essentially redistribute wealth through taxation, evidence has shown that it has done little to combat ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

It can be psychological as well. Katniss s and Peeta s romance, for instance, is the subject of so much fascination because it is presumed to be doomed. The Gamemakers changed the rules of the game just so they could get closer to each other, and in the end they changed it back so they had to kill each other in order to win. The game launched for iOS on November 11th, 2016 and on Android on August 31st, 2017. The app is available for download on all current iOS and Android devices (later than Android 5.0). The game also ties into the recently released feature film The Angry Birds Movie (2016) and its tie in television series, Blues. The main storyline of this game focuses on you rescuing Hatchlings from pigs by solving puzzles. The Bad Piggies want to disrupt the eternal party of the Hatchlings via some well placed petty theft for mysterious, spiteful reasons as yet unknown. This injustice is resolved by you clearing levels to return the Hatchling s stuff and things to their rightful owners. Unlike some of the previous games in the series, this entry is a casual gaming puzzler similar in style to Candy Crush. The gameplay focuses heavily on three in a row tile matching. You must clear your way through an enormous series of challenge maps across many worlds, stretching to more than 1000 levels. There are many different objectives for each map. These range from simply removing all the pigs from play to placing different tiles together to reach a set number of combos. The main game differs quite a bit from Candy Crush, however. If you ve ever played Tetris, Dig Dug, or Bubble Bobble, you may recognise a few of the casual gaming mechanics here. Early on, your main objectives will be centred on finding a way to pop the green piggies (the natural enemy of the enraged avian) by completing block combinations next to them. Features such as glass, mud, glue, crates, and bricks and some additional objectives will make it harder for you to beat levels as you progress. Bird based special attacks can also be used to clear levels. Chaining blocks together in certain ways will cause Red, Chuck, and Bomb to materialise into play.
