the 82nd Airborne Division. Under the leadership of Brigadier General (BG) James Gavin, his
paratroopers were tasked with dropping in northeast Netherlands to secure bridges at the towns of
Grave and Nijmegan. The 82nd Airborne Division s primary target was securing the bridges at
Nijmegan to facilitate the Allied Forces XXX Corps, who would be arriving through Nijmegan to a
town called Arnhem. Arnhem was a town that laid on the German / Dutch border. Allied Intelligence
determined that two SS Panzer Divisions of German forces occupied that town.

Whiting discovered the statistical association that, Societies with apparently low protein diets tend to
have long postpartum sex taboos (Ember 54). Based off of this association, Whiting went on to
theorize that a long postpartum sex taboo may be an adaptation to tropical environments, particularly
where the major food staples are low in protein (Ember 54). He argued that children in these areas
were prone to the protein deficiency disease called kawashiorkor (Ember 54), so if mothers abstained
from sex for a year, therefore eliminating the possibility of having another child, the first child would
be able to nurse longer and possibly have a lower risk for contracting the disease. In order to test his
theory, Whiting sampled 172 societies (Ember 62) and divided them into a table based off of the

Just looking at it, the object is a neutral color that isn t eye catching, but at the same time it isn t dull

crime. Archduke Franz and his wife Duchess Sophie were driving through Sarajevo and expected to
arrive peacefully, but Gavrilo Princip had an assassination in mind for the family. The assassination of
Duke Franz Ferdinand was the most significant assassination of the twentieth century. The series of
unfortunate events, the lives of the killer and the killed, the coincidence and the troubles that ensued
because of this event were key to the beginning of World War I.
Franz Ferdinand was traveling to Sarajevo in June 1914 to inspect the imperial armed forces in Bonzia
