Geographic Expansion and Profits of Financial Institutions...
Geographic diversification is a necessity for any financial institution interested in growing and
expanding. As financial institutions grow geographically, numerous issues may arise. Before any
expansion planning can be done, financial institution managers must make a determination on the type
of geographic expansion that best fits the financial institution and its goals. Making the correct
decision to further expand operations domestically or internationally is imperative to ensure success of
the expansion. Regardless of the breadth of the expansion efforts, financial institutions will face
increased risks, new regulatory environments, and potentially different cultural barriers. Outside of
these risks, however, is the issue of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
For financial institution shareholders, diversification should be a consideration for several reasons
(Schmid Walter, 2012). For instance, financial institutions would want to expand geographically in
order to improve its competitive advantage and enhance its capital allocation position (Schmid Walter,
2012). Additionally, other considerations include improving efficiencies, taking advantage of
inequalities in exchange rates, and providing unified customer service across various geographies
(Schmid Walter, 2012). Although there are increased costs associated with expansions (information,
contracting, and regulatory), the benefits are seemingly compensatory and offset these (Schmid
Walter, 2012). Multinational banks, or those with physical operations in multiple countries, can also
benefit from an expansion of their operations geographically (Weller Hersh, 2002).
There are numerous benefits for financial institutions that seek geographic diversification,
domestically or internationally. For one, geographic expansions provide the opportunity for efficiently
operated organizations to extend the efficiencies across additional locations and more resources
(Berger DeYoung, 2001). The increases in efficiency can result in decreased costs for products
offered, greater revenues due to broader product offerings, or both (Berger DeYoung, 2001). For
example, improving network production through the joining of

Essay on A Critical Review of Francis Schaeffer
Topic Paragraph Francis Schaeffer summarized his the entire book when he wrote, To understand
where we are in today s world in our intellectual ideas and in our cultural and political lives we must
trace three lines in history, namely, the philosophic, the scientific, and the religious (Schaeffer, 2005,
p.20). Schaeffer is mainly stating that society is getting away from its Christians roots. He walks
through instances in history where society has moved away from the principle teachings of the Bible.
He believes that the problems in society are because individuals are ignoring the Christian principles
that this world was built upon. He warns that this shift can have a catastrophic effect on how the world
will look in the future. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This is one way that the path towards destruction can be altered. The Christian believers have an
obligation to help society realize its Christian roots and that can be done through their diligence in
spreading the word of God. The other intended audience for Schaeffer s book is the non believers.
Schaeffer hints to the fact that society s decline is a result of these non believers. He points out how
these people have coerced society to distance itself from the teachings of the Bible. By Schaeffer
pointing out the possible end result of their actions, he is hoping that this book serves as a wake up
call. He is urging non believers to change their ways before it is too late. Thesis and Bias The overall
thesis to Schaeffer s book can be found in the first chapter. To understand where we are in today s
world in our intellectual ideas and in our cultural and political lives we must trace three lines in
history, namely, the philosophic, the scientific, and the religious (Schaeffer, 2005, p.20). The bias in
this statement is the idea that the only worthwhile world view is a Christian world view. Schaeffer
insists that in order to remediate any problems in society there should be a re focus on Christian
principles. Schaeffer is trying to make a very specific point very clear in this book. He wants people to
know that society has moved away from the teachings of the Bible. He gives specific examples of how

The Character And The Narrator Of Obasan
o Naomi: Naomi is the main character and the narrator of Obasan. She is a schoolteacher who
reminisces on her haunting yet alluring past. She has always dealt with her anguish by neglecting to
acknowledge that the pain even existed. She starts to look back into her past to remember the time and
experiences with her aunt (obasan) and uncle who are her closest family. o Uncle: He is the father
figure for Naomi and her brother Stephen. He is the husband of the mother figure who she calls
Obasan. He was always able to provide for his wife, Naomi and Stephen. o Obasan (aunt): She is the
wife of Uncle and the strong mother figure for Naomi and her brother. o Emily: Emily is another aunt
of Naomi s except she is different than the others in the family, as she doesn t possess the typically

The Electric Car
In 10 years, it is believed that the electric car will slowly start to push the gasoline/petrol vehicle to the
curb, and it will do it with style and swagger. In this ever growing age of technology and
advancement, more and more people are either looking very seriously into or have already transitioned
from ICE (internal combustion engine) vehicles. The transition is seemingly a slow one for the
majority of the public and although it is understandable, it is also inevitable. Combustion engine
vehicles have been around for over a century and have dominated the car industry greatly. The
reliance on ICE engines can be visible in any direction someone turns, walking through the streets of
any city. The mindset that ICE rules, and is the only efficient and viable method of transportation is
slowly being replaced by the ever decreasing well of fossil fuels and oil on earth. Oil has been the
spine of the Earth and the gasoline car, it s pumping heart.
There are many reasons that more and more people are turning to electric. Some of the advantages are:
Higher efficiency by as much as 400 to 600 percent over an internal combustion engine
No polluting byproducts because this car gets its power from batteries, the wind or the sun
Three times as efficient as gas engines
Is extremely safe
Gets better mileage than any other car on the road
Quiet to drive
Convenient
Durable
Although everyone has his or her personal motivations to owning and driving electric, some

The Barbie Doll
The newest Barbie doll just came out and I am freaking out. I am in elementary school and still
obsessed with tiaras and shiny things. I want the new doll with straight blonde hair and a skinny waist.
The doll is beautiful. I play with my other dolls at home as I listen to my grandmother oogle over my
curly brown hair and chubby cheeks. Look at that beautiful girl she says as I make my dolls go
shopping. The other adults sitting around the table agree and make other comments.
Pure beauty.
Gorgeous.
Completely stunning.
I listen to them admire me but continue to ignore them. I just want to play with my dolls.
I walk into my middle school for the first time. I am scared but I hold myself together with the
confidence that I will be liked by everyone. I always have, why would anything change? I manage to
make friends and they are very nice people. But I notice that we are a group of 3 and all the other
friend groups have 6 or more. I notice that they all have straight blonde hair and skinny waists. They
look just like my dolls at home. I try to start a conversation with one of the groups. They smirk at me,
indicating that I need to go back to my own table. Why don t they like me? I try to talk to the doll look
alikes again. They continue to ignore me. Frustrated, I ask Why don t you like me? The answer leaves
a painful mark on my mind and affects my view of myself in this world.

Technology and Cars in the Future
I imagine the world will have more changes especially in the field of technology. The technology will
change our life enormously. The latest technology that exist today such as bendable smart phone
amazes me. This bendable and flexible smart phone was developed by Samsung. In addition, the
existence of 3D printing, enables users print 3D shapes from 3D pictures. What will happen 50 years
from now is a huge transformation with more new inventions, innovations and designs. Future car
technologies will be beyond our imagination. Transparent instrument panel of future cars that use
OLED technology will give better range of vision than other dashboards. Another possibility is
Vegetable based components. The body panel of the car will be based on vegetable, meaning having
organic design in order to reduce weight, developed by Honda. But huge problem will happen at the
same time. Reserves resources like petroleum will be depleted from year to year. Petroleum is the
major power used in many transportation these day such as train, car, automobiles and trucks by
converting it to gasoline and diesel. At the same time, 50 years from now air pollution will increase
because of these transportation. Thus, the government has to take initiatives to reduce resources such
as by increasing its price in order to discourage more consumption of fuel, thus reducing air pollution
and conserve petroleum to safe future generation. If I am an automotive engineer, I would like to
implement solutions

Dunkin Donuts Brand
1. Discuss the Dunkin Donuts store and/or visit the company s website.
Dunkin Donuts is famous for their many varieties of doughnuts and their wide range of bakery
products which include muffins and bagels. Dunkin Donuts was first introduced as a retailer designed
to bring quality donuts and the freshest coffee to consumers. Since they opened for business, it has
rapidly became an intrinsic part of the American society . Though famous for their bakery goods that

range of coffees espressos, lattes and cappuccinos, which are freshly brewed . The website is also very

4. What is Dunkin Donuts value proposition?
I believe that Dunkin Donuts has it s value proposition deeply rooted in the idea that it offers quality
donuts and the freshest coffee every time at a low price. Considering the fact that Dunkin Donuts aims
to sell high quality products at lower rates than it s competitors, such as Panera Bread, i think that the
company may have created a niche that will attract and retain their customers. Also, by updating their
menu and retail outlets to be in line with what consumers want today, Dunkin Donuts will always
enjoy the ability to offer something new and exciting to its customer.
5. How is Dunkin Donuts growing its share of customer? How has the brand evolved accordingly?
Dunkin Donuts is effectively growing it s share of customers by strategically solidifying their niche in
the Franchising area. Since franchisee managed stores are a relatively risk free means of expanding
Dunkin Donuts market coverage. Dunkin Donuts is also growing it s share of customers by coming up
with new and exiting products that are more in tune with the tastes and styles of the modern day

Sigmund Freud s Psychodynamic Theory In Social Work
In the past social worker focused on the use of psychodynamic theory in social work practice, but now
it is said that this theory is no longer relevant to social work practice. Sigmund Freud psychodynamic
theory looks at how human behavior and relationships are shaped by conscious and unconscious
influences. For Freud, psychodynamic theory included psychoanalysis that was used a treatment to
reveal the unconscious activity of an individual by making them consciously aware of it. Further, he
believed that he could help people release bottled up emotions and negative experiences that could be
the cause of anxiety and depression. Social construction that occurs because of a revolt effectively
alters society as a whole is social worker relevancy ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The psychodynamic approach in social work is still relevant and is important for its humanizing
qualities, for understanding and working with people with severe problems and for, perhaps, helping
us to locate the position of social work as it relates to the mental health professions. According to Deal
(2007), Current trends in psychodynamic theory include a vibrant interest in theory development,
including cultural considerations, an emphasis on a relational paradigm, and increasing support for
research, all of which have implications for social work (pg 192). Social workers employ the theory of
psychodynamic when dealing with a client who has suffered past trauma or abuse and are better able
to facilitate healing by placing attention on a client s ego defense mechanisms to protect individuals
from becoming overwhelmed by impulses and threats. Social work practice primary focus in
psychodynamic theory are utilized to analyze emotions that play a key role in human behavior and
concerned with how these internal needs, drives, and emotions motivate human behavior. It assumes
that both conscious and unconscious mental activity motivate human behavior, and that internalized
experiences. Social work theories are general explanations that are supported by evidence obtained
through the scientific method. A psychodynamic theory may explain human behavior, by describing
how humans interact or how humans react to certain stimuli. Social work practice models describe
how social workers can implement psychodynamic theories. While a psychodynamic theory explains
the conscious and unconscious thoughts of human beings behaviors, a social worker can use the
theory to create change. Psychodynamic theory can be relevancy to social workers to assist in
identifying concepts, such as the role of drives in human motivation, stages of psychosexual
development, and ego defense mechanisms

I will discuss my analytical view on the events that took place in 2002, titled Operation Anaconda .
Richard Kulger wrote the case study that gives in depth insight on these events. Several units
participated in this mission from Special Operations (SOF), 10th Mountain, U.S. Army Rangers, and
also units from Afghanistan Army. I will discuss the six principles to mission command (Build

Crohn s Disease is Inflammation in the Digestive System Essay
Crohn s disease is a life long condition effecting victims of any age. It is considered a form of an
inflammatory bowel disease that causes inflammation in the digestive system. The cause of the disease
is unknown. The inflammation is due to the immune system attacking the healthy cells throughout the
body s gastrointestinal tract.
The exact causes of Crohn s disease remain unknown, but most believe that factors that contribute to
the disease may include genetics, immune system, environment, etc. The immune system does play an
important role in causing Crohn s disease. The immune system protects the body from infection and

There are many tests are used to diagnosis patients with Crohn s disease. Blood tests are usually
ordered, but cannot confirm Crohn s disease without further testing. Blood tests often show
inflammation in the body. Anemia is common among patients that have Crohn s disease. A
colonoscopy is required to help confirm if the Patient has Crohn s disease. Most patients will have
abnormalities in the intestinal lining if they have Crohn s disease. Some Tests that are commonly used
is an upper endoscopy (EGD), X ray of intestines, CT scan, and an MRI. Crohn s Disease is also
known to be genetic.
Currently there is no cure for Crohn s disease. Treatment results differ from patient to patient. The
goal of treatments is to reduce inflammation and provide some relief of the symptoms and may lead to
long term remission. Crohn s disease treatments usually involve drug therapy and in certain cases
surgery is an option.
Drugs that help treat Crohn s disease include anti inflammatory drugs, Immune system suppressors,
and antibiotics. Some immune system suppressors carry an added risk of developing cancer such as

The Four Theories of Government Essay
Akira Simmons 3/5/09 Government There were fourdifferent theories of governments, the force
theory, the evolutionary rule, the divine right theory, and social contract theory. The Force theory was
when one person or group of people gained control of the area and forced others to submit to their
rule. The evolutionary Rule basically said that the states would develop naturally out of family clans,
tribes, ect. The divine right theory said that the state was created by God and God gave people of royal
birth the divine right to rule . The social contract theory was created by Thomas Hobbes and he

God gave people of the royal birth the divine right to rule , but not all people believe in the same
religion or God. Not only would religion be an issue but also the royal family factor. In the United
States, there are no royal families, but there are wealthy, middle class, and the low class. The divine
right to rule is not used in the United States because of the different religions. This theory would not
be best fit for the United States because the United States does not rule based on religion and there are
no royal families. The Social contract theory was created by Thomas Hobbes and he basically stated
that the state people were British. People were poor and to improve their lives people would enter into
a social contract where one superior person ruled over the rest. This would not be a best fit form of
government for the United States today because not everybody lives poor in every state. Each state has
a different group of lower class, middle class, and upper class. This also would not be good
government for the U.S. because with one superior person ruling there would be no democracy. The
United States does not use the social contract today because of these reasons. The four theories of
forms of government were all different from one another. These theories are should not be used in the
United States today because it s a different time

Clare Gay Rights
In recent years, there has been a surge of queer representation in popular media. Whether or not this
representation accurate and positive is another question, but the fact that queer visibility has increased
is inarguable. According to this Salon article, supporting gay rights is good for business (Kelley). In
the article, Kelley discusses the move by companies to publicly show their support for LGBT rights,
and how this motion is not brave, as much as it is financially beneficial. As we progress further along
in the movement for queer rights, more and more companies hop on the bandwagon, because being
progressive is profitable. For many of these companies, to say anything unsupportive about the LGBT

Should straight authors stop writing queer characters and relationships for fear of misrepresenting
them? While that may be effective in stopping the misrepresentation, that line of thinking will not
solve the problem. Queer authors will still lack a voice in the writing community, and the issue will be
taken back to square one. One solution would be to further educate straight writers on how to write
queer characters, and the dangers of mishandling them. Most non queer authors have wonderful
intentions of being inclusive, but their works fall short because of the unfamiliarity with the subject
matter. A better solution would be to provide an efficient platform for queer voices to write about their
own experiences and communities. Queer authors should be promoted better so their work is seen
rather than cast off to the side for what straight audiences find appealing in terms of seeing onscreen
gay characters. And this includes queer women and trans people who are so often overlooked, even
within the queer literature community. Gay male characters have a grip on the queer scene, largely

The Bayou Macon Madison Baptist Association is located in Epps, Louisiana and is headed by

Definition Essay On Luxury
Definitions of Luxury Luxury means the state of great comfort and extravagant living or an
unnecessary but desirable item. Actually, the word Luxury is not the same with everyone and some
people do not exactly interpret this word similar in the dictionary. They feel that it s beyond that and
the definition seems to be hard to fathom. Thesaurus defines luxury as free or habitual indulgence in
or enjoyment of comforts and pleasures in addition to those necessary for a reasonable standard of
well being. Luxury is very selective and exclusive which there is almost the only brand in its product
category. The sense of being sophisticated and having a good taste are based on this definition. The
unique attribute of each product category belongs to one brand or it is called the icon . Only one brand
specializes in one product category, for example, Brioni for men s suits, Hermès for leather bags,

Literary Uses Of Hyperbole In Go Ask Alice
Hyperbole: A hyperbole is an exaggerated statement or claim not meant to be taken literally. In Go
Ask Alice, the author uses this literary device effectively by using the exaggeration to illustrate how
the character is feeling. Throughout a lot of the book, she is feeling very sad and overwhelmed. In the
very beginning of the book, she says, And now the whole world is cold and gray and unfeeling. This is
an exaggeration because the whole world isn t literally cold and gray, but that is how she is seeing it.
As the reader, I can get a better understanding of her feelings by her exaggerations.
Details (selection of detail): Having detail in your writing is very important and can make the
difference in the piece of literature. Detail can help the reader have a better understanding of what they
are reading. On page 134, the author writes, It s a good thing most people bleed on the inside or this
would be a gory, blood smeared Earth. Anonymous is explaining her feelings about the world around
her using immense detail. As the reader, I can have a better idea of how she is seeing and describing
her world. Simile: A simile is a figure of speech that compares of two things that are different than
each other in order to make a description of something more prominent. An example of when this is
used in the book is when it says, Well, like oil and water, I can t quite adapt or fit, on page 18. She is

The Different Styles Of Parenting Essay
The two different styles of parenting that are described in the book are concerted cultivation and
natural growth. Concerted cultivation is typically seen in the middle class families. Whereas natural
growth is mainly seen in the working class families. The book defines concerted cultivation as having
Organized activities, established and controlled by mothers and fathers... (Lareau, 2011, p.1). And it
defines natural growth as having children experience long stretches of leisure time, child initiated
play, clear boundaries between adults and children, and daily interactions with the kin. (Lareau, 2011,
p.3). Essentially in concerted cultivation parents are focused in exposing their children in activities
that will implement skills that they can use later in life. Some of the skills will be mentioned in the
next paragraph. As for the natural growth approach, it is more concerned in letting the child acquire
the necessary skills on their own. This parenting style views that the parents do not really impact the
skills that the child learns. An example would be thinking that the child s organized activity helps the
child have something to do for a certain amount of time. They do not view the child s activities as
helping them acquire skills that will help them into adulthood. Throughout the book it has become
clear that the differences we are seeing are not due to racial or ethnic background but rather to the
parenting style that is implemented to the children. We are able

Communist Mainitarianism In George Orwell s Animal Farm
Communists Come Calling
George Orwell, the author of Animal Farm, was a soldier in both World War II and the Spanish Civil
War. Throughout both of these wars, he had gone through many tough situations. He did not agree
with much that was going on during this time, including the communism that was starting to take

the different type of people and animals. Keeping the reader s attention was the main goal for Orwell,
because of the fact that he was replaying situations that had already happened before, so he wanted
people to know what he lived through. Wanting to keep it as real as possible but not boring was one of
the largest factors that had played a part in his writings. George Orwell s Animal Farm analyzes the
communist political system through the functioning use of a farm, reflecting on Joseph Stalin, Leon
Trotsky, and Adolf Hitler.

The Implementation of the Garmin G1000 Integrated Cockpit System as an Effective Platform for the
Development of Augmented Visual Training Aids
Background
Cessna 172 Skyhawk
Research and data for this report were acquired using the Cessna 172 Skyhawk aircraft and Frasca
manufactured Level 6 flight training device (FTD). The Cessna 172S is a single engine, prop driven
general aviation aircraft most commonly used for training purposes. With a three seat training
configuration, high wing design, and fixed, tricycle type landing gear, this aircraft was optimally
equipped for the student pilot. Similar to the actual aircraft, the Level 6 FTD must have aerodynamic
programming, operating systems, and control loading congruent to that of the Cessna. Other notable
qualities include physical controls, switches, and knobs as well as significant sound resemblance.

The Need for Anti-Bullying Laws Essay
Bullying has been escalating to a certain degree that it has affected as many as 160,000 students that
reported staying home from school every day, because they were afraid of being bullied
(www.stompoutbullying.org). Bullying does not only stops one from wanting to go to school, it also
makes one feel anxious, insecure, and unhappy at school, isolated and at times severely depressed
(Young, Shin Kim, and Leventhal). Schools must have better resources available to students; this
includes the victim and the bully. The victim should have both better counseling and stricter laws to
protect them. Bullies also need counseling due to research which states that many bullies tend to come
from families where parents are more ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Dan Olweus published a Swedish book regarding bullying and in the US in 1978 under the title
Aggression in the Schools: Bullies and Whipping Boys. According to Olweus victims are generally
cautious, sensitive, quiet, withdrawn, and shy, and are often anxious, insecure, unhappy, and have low
self esteem ( Olweus). He also stated he found that bullies have a strong need to dominate and subdue
other students to get their own way; are impulsive and easily angered (Olweus). In another study Dr.
Dan Olweus suggested that 15% of 140,000 students in 715 schools were involved in bullying from
time to time or more frequently. About 94% of the students were classified as victims while 6% were
classified as bullies (Olweus). Another researcher states that bullying is a significant problem that
despite all the sound and fury still has not received sufficient attention (Greenya). Bullying is a serious
problem that needs to be paid better attention to by schools, states, and parents. On October 12, 2009 a
horrible act of violence related to bullying occurred. A fifteen year old, Michael Brewer was set on fire
by three other teenagers and was left to die. Michael jumped into a pool nearby trying to put out the
flames. Michael said the other boys were former friends. Michael now fully recovered is speaking out
against bullying, in an interview with ABC News he said If you try to take it on yourself, they re going

Passerby Individualism
In source one, the cartoonist shows the large pay gap between those who embrace collectivism and
those who are more for individualism. The classical liberal is shown to be more economically
successful than the modern liberal. Although each person in the collective of teachers receives one two
hundredth of what the hockey player is paid in a year, they appear to be happy and more upright than
the hockey player. On the other hand, the hockey player is depicted as an all about me individual who
is not as upright or put together as the teachers, thus the artist shows him slouching and with missing
teeth. This cartoon represents the capitalist world today and shows that classical liberalism and the
ideas of individualism supersede the opportunity ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The negatives of modern liberalism are shown in source two through Lanier s listing of all the groups
that have cast a shadow over the favorable aspects of modern liberalism. Contrarily, source one
highlights the positive influence the collective has on society, by representing modern liberalism with
teachers a vital point in shaping the future. Additionally, source one disproves the ideas that modern
liberalism is predominantly evil in that it shows a collective of teachers, who are the driving force in
preparing children to be the future generation. In the same way, source one and three differ in that the
hockey player in source one is more successful than the collective of teacher and the individual in
source three cannot even stand on his own two feet. Despite the many differences in these sources, the
second and third source share the idea that the individual asking for help in the second source is
turning to the collective and is being drawn back to the mob /collective proving human tendency to

Harry Houdini s Life
The Magic Life A fundamental understanding of the human psyche is the essential key to successful
magic. This is the quote that inspired Erich Weiss the world s greatest escape artist. Harry Houdini
born as Erich Weiss came into this world on March 24, 1874. He later claimed he was born on April
6,1874. This kid was poor but ambitious, erratic yet determined. Harry Houdini, the poor Jewish kid
living in the slums of Appleton, Wisconsin, became the world s most successful magician. There were
no laws saying kids had to go to school so Harry worked hard. Harry had to come early and stay late

Business Plan For Adventure Travel International (ATI)
International Travel Agency Business Plan
Executive Summary
Adventure Travel International (ATI) will begin operations this year and provide adventure and
sport/travel packages to people in the Pacific Northwest, specifically the greater Woodville area. An
opportunity for ATI s success exists because the national tourism and travel industry is growing at 4%,
and adventure travel at 10% annually. Further, the Woodville adventure travel market is growing at
least 12% annually and there are no providers who specialize solely in adventure travel in the greater
Woodville area. ATI is poised to take advantage of this growth and lack of competition with an
experienced staff, excellent location, and effective management and marketing.

ATI s most important target customers, however, will be married couples, ages 25 35, with children
and household incomes over $50,000.
The Woodville area, like much of the Pacific Northwest, has a large concentration of outdoor
recreation enthusiasts. These health conscious individuals, couples, and groups interested in popular
adventure sports, such as skiing, kayaking, trekking, etc., are ATI s primary customers. ATI s target
market is an exploitable niche, and ATI will provide a specialized and thus differentiated service.
ATI has established relationships with providers of travel related products and services. Two major
airlines have been selected as our primary ticket providers in part because they do not cap the agent s
profit on tickets. This allows us to capture the 10% margin on ticket sales that was for many years the
industry standard. Market research has enabled us to identify and establish working relationships with
service providers around the world. ATI has been able to identify opportunities to capture margins of
up to 25% from certain parties. Sourcing will be continuously evaluated. ATI will take advantage of
trade shows, travel industry publications, and other sources of industry related information to monitor
the quality of its offering.
ATI has a number of major competitors that the company will seek to acquire market share from. They
are: Rollins Hayes; Sundance Travel; Global

Killer Whales In Zoos
The Blackfish Phase has come into play in today s Zoos and aquariums. Sounds pretty inexplicable
right? If truth be told, it s not very convoluted whatsoever. It associates with the king or regal of all
black fish known as the killer whale. The killer whale is undergoing a phase of being isolated from
today s prominent zoos such as SeaWorld, but that s not the only dilemma that has ensued. Excuding
killer whales in zoos ,doing to their behavior, has prompted other zoos to supervene this situation and
are considering abstracting not just killer whales, but any animal that appears to create only
insufficient danger to the tourist at their zoos and also the animal trainers there as well. The deal is that
people have acknowledged this happening in many different forms. Some believe that all zoos should

he is different, all he knows is that is normal to himself, and that the gang of boys on the roof are the

T.J. talks about his acre of corn and cotton that he could tend to and take care of, while the other boys

strange softness of his voice contrasting [their] own tones of speech into harshness¨(101). Here, T.J. is
talking about his farm and is captivating the gang´s imagination. T.J. even talks different from the
gang, with his quiet tones and his ¨softness¨ in his voice, possibly meaning that he has a Southern
drawl. With his different way of speaking, he contrasts with the harsh city words and speak, and
makes the boys all wonder who he really is. They all want to gain the unique sense that he belongs
anywhere and that he can do anything.

A Streetcar Named Desire Dysfunctional Family
The study spotlights on the familial dysfunctionality as presented in the plays of Tennessee Williams.
The families presented in most of his plays are dysfunctional because of multiple incompatibilities. A
family whose interrelationships serve to detract from, rather than promote, the emotional and physical
health and well being of its members. Dysfunctional families are characterized by following
characteristics which are blaming or failure of responsibility, loose or rigid rules or relationships, and
set family rules. Sexual or physical abuse, addiction to alcohol or drugs, behavior problems, mental
diseases, and aggression can all attribute to dysfunctional families, physical evidence found in The
Glass Menagerie, A Cat on Hot Tin Roof and A Street Car Named Desire. All these families are
dysfunctional families, and overpowering coincides with psychological symptoms and characteristics.
Like a physical disease, the mental and emotional disease shows common symptoms, and with these
symptoms psychologists can diagnose and chart the severity of the disease. The most common
symptoms are rigid discussion which may be confused or chaotic, disagreements that offends the
members of family, a disagreeable environment, tight and unshared emotion, a lack of good humor
and the nature to laugh at one s self and disrespect for privacy. The pursuit for a better world ... Show

The Tragedy Of The Bhopal Chemical Leak
In today s society of industrialization, a few disasters may occur due to irresponsibility. Such disasters
can range from an insignificant aspect to something absolutely detrimental. Chemical leaks are a
rather harmful accident, especially in industrialized factories. This was the case in 1984 when Union
Carbide s safety mechanism failed to detain three tanks of Methyl Isocyanate (MCI for short). As a
repercussion, a massive chemical leak of white fog polluted the city of Bhopal s atmosphere within a
moment. The tragedy of the Bhopal Chemical Leak leads to the world s curiosity of what happened on
that day, why exactly chemicals such as Methyl Isocyanate are dangerous, and where the city of

Could it be because of poor management at the plant? What if the construction of the corporation was
a horrendous location for the plant to operate? Before the matter of what happened is approached, it is
important to understand the decline of the factory. According to a site entitled The Bhopal Medical
Appeal , it was recorded that the manufacturing of the factory was unregulated even from the
beginning. For instance, the company s downfall was due to a failed achievement of profiting off of
Indian farmers. With the farmers being poor and suffering through a lack of water, Union Carbide s
dream of hitting big withered away slowly. It was not until the 1980s when Union Carbide decided to
ultimately shut down production at the factory3. Although the company abandoned the plant, Union
Carbide decided that the factory was safe enough to vacate. To add, Union Carbide heavily trusted the
safety mechanism installed for the purpose of there ever being a chemical leak. The corporation felt no
threat towards a potential failure of the equipment. However, three tanks full of Methyl Isocyanate
remained untouched as well as a removed flare tower. Also, a shut off safety contraption lingered
inoperable containing a scrubber, a refrigerator, and a water curtain3. On the same night of December
2nd, a maintenance employee visited the dilapidated plant to check on the safety equipment. One pull

Layton s Essay On Rhetorical Analysis And Discussion
Layton begins his essay describing what engineering is; that its work is in the marketplace rather than
in a laboratory. He then states the engineer s dilemma is based on bureaucracy, not capitalism.
Engineers are called the original organization man, and are important to large businesses, but a social
revolution amongst them would not end their terms of marginality. Moving on, Layton then goes over
engineering and its history in America. He then goes on to discuss professionalism. Many engineers
have a concern for their social status, and seek to be on par with doctors and lawyers, and to do this,
they must show more social responsibility. Layton quickly discusses autonomy, and then goes on to
explain the pros of professionalism, and that it prevents engineers from becoming cogs in the
industrial machine. Going on, Layton states that professionalism carries an air of elitism, and is not
democratic in nature, but can serve democratic ends. It requires engineers to align with their
profession. However, business resists ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

conformism a bit more, some even going as far as to avoid unorthodox dress. Coming back to the
phases of an engineer, Layton states that the final step is moving from engineering to business.
Although this is not achieved by all, some do and completely sever ties with their previous
engineering profession, using Charles M. Schwab as an

The Pros And Cons Of Memory Problems
When people think of memory problems, their first thought is probably forgetting. However, that is
just a small portion of memory problems as a whole. For example, in a study done at Boston
University, students were shown a set of pictures of situations such as a careless student leaning back
in his chair, a man taking an orange from the bottom of the pile, and a grocery bag ripping and spilling
groceries. 68% of the students involved in the experiment claimed they remembered seeing the so
called cause picture of the bag ripping. The problem was that there was no cause photo for the spilled
groceries. When the students saw the effect and not the cause, they made an assumption. This proved
that inferences can cause us to think we remember something that never actually happened. Therefore,
memories can actually be illusions. Recent memory research has focused on why we have memory
problems such as remembering the first letter of a word but not the whole word. A ... Show more

Suggestibility is when people mix up personal memory with second hand information. According to
Schacter, leading questions and encouraging feedback can result in altered memories of events that
never took place. In fact, suggestibility can even lead to false eyewitness testimonies. For example, a
psychologist named Gary Wells from Iowa University showed a group of volunteers a video of a man
entering a store, and then told them that the man killed a security guard. When he and his colleagues
showed the volunteers some photos and asked them to identify the man, who was not in any of the
photos, he told some of them that they identified the correct man. The students who were encouraged
later stated that the encouragement caused them to be more confident in their recall of the man. The
positive feedback not only made them more confident in their memory of the man, but also caused
them to forget any uncertainty they originally had about their identification of the

New Product Launch Marketing Plan, Part II

marketing plan consists of a detailed target market profile, including buying behaviors, decision
motivators, and organizational target markets. The plan also includes steps to manage each stage of the
product life cycle and tactical plans for the Four P s. Finally, the second part of the marketing plan

s positioning strategy.

During this Phase iNKtopia will increase advertising on television, print ads, and provide discounts
and incentives to customers that want the ink delivered. The increase of advertising will continue to
help the company grow, expand, and build a larger consumer base.
Maturity Phase
The maturity Phase will create a slowdown in sales growth because the product has achieved
acceptance by most potential buyers (Kotler Keller, 2012, p. 310). As iNKtopia s profits become
stable or deteriorate because of an increase in competition the company must look to diversify. If the
company is successful up to this point the product will unavoidably lead to more competition.
Competitors will eventually start introducing similar products, or larger ink companies may simply
lower the price of their ink. Therefore iNKtopia will need to diversify or develop new products,
services, or lower costs to distinguish iNKtopia s products from the competitors. Ideally, iNKtopia can
enhance customer services and its image to become a leader in the ink industry. This could also be
coupled with a change in the pricing strategy by slightly lowering the cost of iNKtopia products.
However, iNKtopia will strive to create superior customer service and innovation of the ink business
to hopefully create additional sales and attract even more customers. Another promotional idea would
be to focus on the environmental

Design And Analysis Of Control System Structures For...
This thesis deals with the design and analysis of control system structures for electric drives equipped
with permanent magnet synchronous machines (PMSM) in automotive application. With the increasing
popularity of multi level inverters, the room for improvement of the performance of voltage source
inverters has continuously been tested for various applications. The rapid development of high
switching frequency power electronics in the past decade leads towards wider application of voltage
source inverters in AC power generation. Therefore, this prompts the need for a modulation technique
with less total harmonic distortion, fewer switching losses, and wider linear modulation range. The
present thesis highlights the comparison of the conventional two level inverter and the three level
diode clamped inverters for the application in automotive industry. The thesis highlights the DC link
balancing control which is the most commonly faced problem in case of a three level diode clamped
inverter, with no additional circuit. Modifications of the modulation techniques for the realization of
the DC link balancing control have been proposed. Comparison of the total harmonic distortion of the
line to line voltages at the outputs of the two and three level inverters has been presented for PWM,
SVPWM CB SVPWM techniques. The thesis also deals with the control of the Permanent Magnet
Synchronous Motor drive using Field Oriented Control technique. A PMSM drive system based on

Miss Havisham is a bitter and twisted character from the novel Great Expectations by Charles
Dickens. Carol Ann Duffy takes this character and explores her tragic life in the poem Havisham .
Duffy uses Dark themes, structure, symbolism and other poetic techniques to express Havisham s
hatred for men after her tragic wedding when she was rejected by her fiancĂŠ. Duffy s use of these
poetic techniques create a sinister character and makes Havisham feel real to the reader.
To begin the poem Duffy uses a shocking short sentence, which contains contrasting word choice to

but makes the reader feel sympathy for the narrator as she desperately screams at the wall showing
how lost and pathetic she has become over time. The cawing is also symbolic of death and darkness as
it is resembling a crow which the reader links with death, darkness and the devil. This combination of
neologism and symbolism creates a sinister mood. Duffy s use of neologism to emphasis Havisham s
mental decay makes her feel real to the reader and her animalistic person adds to her sinister character.
Duffy goes on to show Havisham s layers of feelings as she expresses her exterior feelings of hatred,
anger and revenge which contrast with her true feelings of love for her past lover. It is the rejection
from her lover which sends her into this downward spiral which eventually results in her feelings of
hatred for all men and desperate want for revenge. love s hate behind a white veil This oxymoron

  • 2. Geographic Expansion and Profits of Financial Institutions... Geographic diversification is a necessity for any financial institution interested in growing and expanding. As financial institutions grow geographically, numerous issues may arise. Before any expansion planning can be done, financial institution managers must make a determination on the type of geographic expansion that best fits the financial institution and its goals. Making the correct decision to further expand operations domestically or internationally is imperative to ensure success of the expansion. Regardless of the breadth of the expansion efforts, financial institutions will face increased risks, new regulatory environments, and potentially different cultural barriers. Outside of these risks, however, is the issue of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... For financial institution shareholders, diversification should be a consideration for several reasons (Schmid Walter, 2012). For instance, financial institutions would want to expand geographically in order to improve its competitive advantage and enhance its capital allocation position (Schmid Walter, 2012). Additionally, other considerations include improving efficiencies, taking advantage of inequalities in exchange rates, and providing unified customer service across various geographies (Schmid Walter, 2012). Although there are increased costs associated with expansions (information, contracting, and regulatory), the benefits are seemingly compensatory and offset these (Schmid Walter, 2012). Multinational banks, or those with physical operations in multiple countries, can also benefit from an expansion of their operations geographically (Weller Hersh, 2002). There are numerous benefits for financial institutions that seek geographic diversification, domestically or internationally. For one, geographic expansions provide the opportunity for efficiently operated organizations to extend the efficiencies across additional locations and more resources (Berger DeYoung, 2001). The increases in efficiency can result in decreased costs for products offered, greater revenues due to broader product offerings, or both (Berger DeYoung, 2001). For example, improving network production through the joining of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Essay on A Critical Review of Francis Schaeffer Topic Paragraph Francis Schaeffer summarized his the entire book when he wrote, To understand where we are in today s world in our intellectual ideas and in our cultural and political lives we must trace three lines in history, namely, the philosophic, the scientific, and the religious (Schaeffer, 2005, p.20). Schaeffer is mainly stating that society is getting away from its Christians roots. He walks through instances in history where society has moved away from the principle teachings of the Bible. He believes that the problems in society are because individuals are ignoring the Christian principles that this world was built upon. He warns that this shift can have a catastrophic effect on how the world will look in the future. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This is one way that the path towards destruction can be altered. The Christian believers have an obligation to help society realize its Christian roots and that can be done through their diligence in spreading the word of God. The other intended audience for Schaeffer s book is the non believers. Schaeffer hints to the fact that society s decline is a result of these non believers. He points out how these people have coerced society to distance itself from the teachings of the Bible. By Schaeffer pointing out the possible end result of their actions, he is hoping that this book serves as a wake up call. He is urging non believers to change their ways before it is too late. Thesis and Bias The overall thesis to Schaeffer s book can be found in the first chapter. To understand where we are in today s world in our intellectual ideas and in our cultural and political lives we must trace three lines in history, namely, the philosophic, the scientific, and the religious (Schaeffer, 2005, p.20). The bias in this statement is the idea that the only worthwhile world view is a Christian world view. Schaeffer insists that in order to remediate any problems in society there should be a re focus on Christian principles. Schaeffer is trying to make a very specific point very clear in this book. He wants people to know that society has moved away from the teachings of the Bible. He gives specific examples of how ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 5. The Electric Car In 10 years, it is believed that the electric car will slowly start to push the gasoline/petrol vehicle to the curb, and it will do it with style and swagger. In this ever growing age of technology and advancement, more and more people are either looking very seriously into or have already transitioned from ICE (internal combustion engine) vehicles. The transition is seemingly a slow one for the majority of the public and although it is understandable, it is also inevitable. Combustion engine vehicles have been around for over a century and have dominated the car industry greatly. The reliance on ICE engines can be visible in any direction someone turns, walking through the streets of any city. The mindset that ICE rules, and is the only efficient and viable method of transportation is slowly being replaced by the ever decreasing well of fossil fuels and oil on earth. Oil has been the spine of the Earth and the gasoline car, it s pumping heart. There are many reasons that more and more people are turning to electric. Some of the advantages are: Higher efficiency by as much as 400 to 600 percent over an internal combustion engine No polluting byproducts because this car gets its power from batteries, the wind or the sun Three times as efficient as gas engines Is extremely safe Gets better mileage than any other car on the road Quiet to drive Convenient Durable Although everyone has his or her personal motivations to owning and driving electric, some ... I want the new doll with straight blonde hair and a skinny waist. The doll is beautiful. I play with my other dolls at home as I listen to my grandmother oogle over my curly brown hair and chubby cheeks. Look at that beautiful girl she says as I make my dolls go shopping. The other adults sitting around the table agree and make other comments. Pure beauty. Gorgeous. Completely stunning. I listen to them admire me but continue to ignore them. I just want to play with my dolls. I walk into my middle school for the first time. I am scared but I hold myself together with the confidence that I will be liked by everyone. I always have, why would anything change? I manage to make friends and they are very nice people. But I notice that we are a group of 3 and all the other friend groups have 6 or more. I notice that they all have straight blonde hair and skinny waists. They look just like my dolls at home. I try to start a conversation with one of the groups. They smirk at me, indicating that I need to go back to my own table. Why don t they like me? I try to talk to the doll look alikes again. They continue to ignore me. The latest technology that exist today such as bendable smart phone amazes me. This bendable and flexible smart phone was developed by Samsung. In addition, the existence of 3D printing, enables users print 3D shapes from 3D pictures. What will happen 50 years from now is a huge transformation with more new inventions, innovations and designs. Future car technologies will be beyond our imagination. Transparent instrument panel of future cars that use OLED technology will give better range of vision than other dashboards. Another possibility is Vegetable based components. The body panel of the car will be based on vegetable, meaning having organic design in order to reduce weight, developed by Honda. But huge problem will happen at the same time. Reserves resources like petroleum will be depleted from year to year. Petroleum is the major power used in many transportation these day such as train, car, automobiles and trucks by converting it to gasoline and diesel. At the same time, 50 years from now air pollution will increase because of these transportation. Thus, the government has to take initiatives to reduce resources such as by increasing its price in order to discourage more consumption of fuel, thus reducing air pollution and conserve petroleum to safe future generation. For Freud, psychodynamic theory included psychoanalysis that was used a treatment to reveal the unconscious activity of an individual by making them consciously aware of it. Social workers employ the theory of psychodynamic when dealing with a client who has suffered past trauma or abuse and are better able to facilitate healing by placing attention on a client s ego defense mechanisms to protect individuals from becoming overwhelmed by impulses and threats. The divine right theory said that the state was created by God and God gave people of royal birth the divine right to rule . One solution would be to further educate straight writers on how to write queer characters, and the dangers of mishandling them. • 19. The Different Styles Of Parenting Essay The two different styles of parenting that are described in the book are concerted cultivation and natural growth. Concerted cultivation is typically seen in the middle class families. Whereas natural growth is mainly seen in the working class families. The book defines concerted cultivation as having Organized activities, established and controlled by mothers and fathers... (Lareau, 2011, p.1). And it defines natural growth as having children experience long stretches of leisure time, child initiated play, clear boundaries between adults and children, and daily interactions with the kin. (Lareau, 2011, p.3). Essentially in concerted cultivation parents are focused in exposing their children in activities that will implement skills that they can use later in life. Some of the skills will be mentioned in the next paragraph. As for the natural growth approach, it is more concerned in letting the child acquire the necessary skills on their own. This parenting style views that the parents do not really impact the skills that the child learns. An example would be thinking that the child s organized activity helps the child have something to do for a certain amount of time. They do not view the child s activities as helping them acquire skills that will help them into adulthood. Throughout the book it has become clear that the differences we are seeing are not due to racial or ethnic background but rather to the parenting style that is implemented to the children. Writing this book allowed him to show his feelings towards what was happening and what he agreed with / disagreed with. Orwell was known as a man who had a special pleasure with confronting his confreres (Rodden and Rossi 16 21), which brought him to write this book making sure that he could express his opinions on their beliefs to them. Starting off the book with everything being happy and interesting caught the attention of the readers, and their attention was kept by portraying different people through the different type of people and animals. Keeping the reader s attention was the main goal for Orwell, because of the fact that he was replaying situations that had already happened before, so he wanted people to know what he lived through. Wanting to keep it as real as possible but not boring was one of the largest factors that had played a part in his writings. The narrator talks about T.J. in that he is ¨strange and different and [the boys are] all attracted by his stolid sense of rightness and belonging, maybe by the strange softness of his voice contrasting [their] own tones of speech into harshness¨(101). Here, T.J. is talking about his farm and is captivating the gang´s imagination. T.J. even talks different from the gang, with his quiet tones and his ¨softness¨ in his voice, possibly meaning that he has a Southern drawl. With his different way of speaking, he contrasts with the harsh city words and speak, and makes the boys all wonder who he really is. They all want to gain the unique sense that he belongs anywhere and that he can do anything. At this point, T.J. has the boys enthralled by his stories, and they ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The families presented in most of his plays are dysfunctional because of multiple incompatibilities. A family whose interrelationships serve to detract from, rather than promote, the emotional and physical health and well being of its members. Dysfunctional families are characterized by following characteristics which are blaming or failure of responsibility, loose or rigid rules or relationships, and set family rules. Sexual or physical abuse, addiction to alcohol or drugs, behavior problems, mental diseases, and aggression can all attribute to dysfunctional families, physical evidence found in The Glass Menagerie, A Cat on Hot Tin Roof and A Street Car Named Desire. All these families are dysfunctional families, and overpowering coincides with psychological symptoms and characteristics. Like a physical disease, the mental and emotional disease shows common symptoms, and with these symptoms psychologists can diagnose and chart the severity of the disease. The most common symptoms are rigid discussion which may be confused or chaotic, disagreements that offends the members of family, a disagreeable environment, tight and unshared emotion, a lack of good humor and the nature to laugh at one s self and disrespect for privacy. • 30. The Tragedy Of The Bhopal Chemical Leak In today s society of industrialization, a few disasters may occur due to irresponsibility. Such disasters can range from an insignificant aspect to something absolutely detrimental. Chemical leaks are a rather harmful accident, especially in industrialized factories. This was the case in 1984 when Union Carbide s safety mechanism failed to detain three tanks of Methyl Isocyanate (MCI for short). As a repercussion, a massive chemical leak of white fog polluted the city of Bhopal s atmosphere within a moment. The tragedy of the Bhopal Chemical Leak leads to the world s curiosity of what happened on that day, why exactly chemicals such as Methyl Isocyanate are dangerous, and where the city of Bhopal stands as of today. Devastation struck ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Could it be because of poor management at the plant? What if the construction of the corporation was a horrendous location for the plant to operate? Before the matter of what happened is approached, it is important to understand the decline of the factory. According to a site entitled The Bhopal Medical Appeal , it was recorded that the manufacturing of the factory was unregulated even from the beginning. For instance, the company s downfall was due to a failed achievement of profiting off of Indian farmers. With the farmers being poor and suffering through a lack of water, Union Carbide s dream of hitting big withered away slowly. It was not until the 1980s when Union Carbide decided to ultimately shut down production at the factory3. Although the company abandoned the plant, Union Carbide decided that the factory was safe enough to vacate. To add, Union Carbide heavily trusted the safety mechanism installed for the purpose of there ever being a chemical leak. The corporation felt no threat towards a potential failure of the equipment. However, three tanks full of Methyl Isocyanate remained untouched as well as a removed flare tower. Also, a shut off safety contraption lingered inoperable containing a scrubber, a refrigerator, and a water curtain3. On the same night of December 2nd, a maintenance employee visited the dilapidated plant to check on the safety equipment. One pull of the tarnished pipe sent ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 31. Layton s Essay On Rhetorical Analysis And Discussion Layton begins his essay describing what engineering is; that its work is in the marketplace rather than in a laboratory. He then states the engineer s dilemma is based on bureaucracy, not capitalism. Engineers are called the original organization man, and are important to large businesses, but a social revolution amongst them would not end their terms of marginality. Moving on, Layton then goes over engineering and its history in America. He then goes on to discuss professionalism. Many engineers have a concern for their social status, and seek to be on par with doctors and lawyers, and to do this, they must show more social responsibility. Layton quickly discusses autonomy, and then goes on to explain the pros of professionalism, and that it prevents engineers from becoming cogs in the industrial machine. Going on, Layton states that professionalism carries an air of elitism, and is not democratic in nature, but can serve democratic ends. It requires engineers to align with their profession. However, business resists ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... He then states that some must show unwavering loyalty to succeed, and talks about conformism a bit more, some even going as far as to avoid unorthodox dress. Coming back to the phases of an engineer, Layton states that the final step is moving from engineering to business. Although this is not achieved by all, some do and completely sever ties with their previous engineering profession, using Charles M. Schwab as an ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 32. The Pros And Cons Of Memory Problems When people think of memory problems, their first thought is probably forgetting. However, that is just a small portion of memory problems as a whole. For example, in a study done at Boston University, students were shown a set of pictures of situations such as a careless student leaning back in his chair, a man taking an orange from the bottom of the pile, and a grocery bag ripping and spilling groceries. 68% of the students involved in the experiment claimed they remembered seeing the so called cause picture of the bag ripping. The problem was that there was no cause photo for the spilled groceries. When the students saw the effect and not the cause, they made an assumption. This proved that inferences can cause us to think we remember something that never actually happened. Therefore, memories can actually be illusions. Recent memory research has focused on why we have memory problems such as remembering the first letter of a word but not the whole word. A ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Suggestibility is when people mix up personal memory with second hand information. According to Schacter, leading questions and encouraging feedback can result in altered memories of events that never took place. In fact, suggestibility can even lead to false eyewitness testimonies. For example, a psychologist named Gary Wells from Iowa University showed a group of volunteers a video of a man entering a store, and then told them that the man killed a security guard. When he and his colleagues showed the volunteers some photos and asked them to identify the man, who was not in any of the photos, he told some of them that they identified the correct man. The students who were encouraged later stated that the encouragement caused them to be more confident in their recall of the man. The positive feedback not only made them more confident in their memory of the man, but also caused them to forget any uncertainty they originally had about their identification of the ... The increase of advertising will continue to help the company grow, expand, and build a larger consumer base. As iNKtopia s profits become stable or deteriorate because of an increase in competition the company must look to diversify. If the company is successful up to this point the product will unavoidably lead to more competition. Competitors will eventually start introducing similar products, or larger ink companies may simply lower the price of their ink. Therefore iNKtopia will need to diversify or develop new products, services, or lower costs to distinguish iNKtopia s products from the competitors. Ideally, iNKtopia can enhance customer services and its image to become a leader in the ink industry. This could also be coupled with a change in the pricing strategy by slightly lowering the cost of iNKtopia products. However, iNKtopia will strive to create superior customer service and innovation of the ink business to hopefully create additional sales and attract even more customers. • 34. Design And Analysis Of Control System Structures For... This thesis deals with the design and analysis of control system structures for electric drives equipped with permanent magnet synchronous machines (PMSM) in automotive application. With the increasing popularity of multi level inverters, the room for improvement of the performance of voltage source inverters has continuously been tested for various applications. The rapid development of high switching frequency power electronics in the past decade leads towards wider application of voltage source inverters in AC power generation. Therefore, this prompts the need for a modulation technique with less total harmonic distortion, fewer switching losses, and wider linear modulation range. The present thesis highlights the comparison of the conventional two level inverter and the three level diode clamped inverters for the application in automotive industry. The thesis highlights the DC link balancing control which is the most commonly faced problem in case of a three level diode clamped inverter, with no additional circuit. Modifications of the modulation techniques for the realization of the DC link balancing control have been proposed. Comparison of the total harmonic distortion of the line to line voltages at the outputs of the two and three level inverters has been presented for PWM, SVPWM CB SVPWM techniques. The thesis also deals with the control of the Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor drive using Field Oriented Control technique. A PMSM drive system based on Field ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Duffy goes on to show Havisham s layers of feelings as she expresses her exterior feelings of hatred, anger and revenge which contrast with her true feelings of love for her past lover. It is the rejection from her lover which sends her into this downward spiral which eventually results in her feelings of hatred for all men and desperate want for revenge. love s hate behind a white veil This oxymoron places love and hate side by side and conceals both emotions behind a symbolic white bridal veil, which is ironically white and contrasts with her ...
