dbq middle ages
The Middle Ages come into being around A.D. 500, which was after the western half of the Roman
Empire collapsed. They lasted to about A.D.1400 and are referenced to as a period of time that
experienced violence by Barbaric invasion, feudalism, disease, and strong feelings for faith. The Dark
Ages, the Age of Feudalism and the Age of Faith are all appropriate titles, however the label that best
fits is the Age of Faith because of the political, economic and social influence the church held. The
middle ages are often identified as the Dark Age because of the Black Death, invasions by the
Barbarians, and because of lack of enlightenment for the common people. A plague most likely
originating from Asia spread throughout Europe. Towns and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Their daily lives were centered on the manor and that was how it stayed until towns began to grow
into cities after the crusades (OI). Feudalism had positive bearings because it was the solution for
decentralized government and lack of protection but also held people back due to lack of social
mobility.
The Age of Faith is most accurate for describing the Middle Ages because of the political, social and
economic influence the church held. Feudalism was still not providing one united central government
but instead many small ones and so the church gained a governmental authority over Western Europe.
People were all working to try to get into Heaven, and because of that there was a lot of control over
telling people what to do. The church could excommunicate people and even Kings if they felt that
they were refusing to comply (OI). This gave the church power over the Kings because they controlled
who would not be allowed to return to the church; if someone were excommunicated they would not
be able to reach Heaven. At the time the bible was written in Latin, which only could be read to the
common people by a clergy member who could explain what was written. With the reliance on the
church the pope s words and explanations were taken as God s. The Truce of God stated different
peace agreements, which they enforced by exerting their power and influence (Doc. 5). The Crusades
were a major part of this because the church declared to try to capture the Holy land. Pope Urban

The Folk Through Three Decades
This essay, by Sija Tsai, demonstrates in a historical chronology how the WFF (Winnipeg Folk
Festival) changed its suggested definition of the folk through three decades. She explored this topic by
exploring media coverage and administrator beliefs on the subject of the folklore presence at these
festivals.
The festival was inaugurated in 1974 and was originally designated to celebrate Winnipeg s centenary.
However, with its success, the festival because an annual celebration of folk. At its beginnings, the
WFF featured mostly Anglo North American and Irish folk singers. the musical acts would feature
performances (often vocal) of traditional material (often ballads) and original material (often highly
politicized) by mostly young ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The outcome of the pluralization of the WFF performances had mixed reviews. Some participants
thought that the festival was betraying their folk value due to the implementation of more popular and
world artist and others argued that it was a good change and that it supported a diversity acceptance
narrative. The pluralization of performances in the WFF s continued through the 1980 s and 1990 s.
During the 1990 s there was an apparent fusion of traditional and popular idioms which further blurred
the lines between its suggested binary. During the early 2000 there were questions addressing the
political issues of the program such as the apparent absence of aboriginal performances.
In conclusion, the change in performance seen in the last three decades of the WFF shows that the idea
of the folk is tangible and is subject to change. One of the principle reason that its definition changes
is because of the underlying idea that folk music is music which features exoticism from the normal
repertoire which constitutes a Canadian identity. Therefore, while in the 1970, the English ballads
were considered different, as the performance frequency of the English ballads were growing, its
integration into the Canadian sound/music identity was being solidified. Hence, the three decades of
folk festival shows that this continuous search for the exotic and fusion is due in part of a

Conformity Vs. Normative Information
From the time we are very little, the number one source for correct facts has always been on the news.
Yet after recently learning about conformity involving informational versus normative information, it
opened my eyes further to understand how influenced society is as a whole. Another similar example
that has been growing recently is social media. Instead of flipping on the news stations, it is just as
popular now for individuals to look up information on the internet. Although just like how news
stations are biased and only hold true to the sources they support, as do websites on the internet. What
is worse about the internet is that people nowadays can post anything they would like either on social
media or the internet. All it takes is ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

and has the authority to judge upon the minority group in whichever situation. This impacts human
nature altogether due to the fact that everywhere we look, these components are heavily being used. In
addition, as technology enhances it will only get worse in my opinion, and will only lead to further
diversity upon citizens when it could all be prevented if individuals held their own opinions as well as

A Summary Of Peyton s Murder Case
I have researched a case that had happened here in my own town not long ago a good man we called
(Pops) was shot and killed. I am very familiar with this whole case and the news does not tell the
whole story. Kegerran Peyton and Darion Watts was caught on camera walking into the store a number
of times, then the third time Peyton walked into the store and put a hundred dollar bill on the counter
and asked to buy a pack of cigarettes, when Nilkanth Patil turned to get the pack of Newport s Peyton
pulled a gun from his waist line and shot Patil in cold blood in the back of the neck, then turned and
shot another person that was in the store he was taking to Hattiesburg hospital and later released. I was

The Influence Of The Internet
The internet was created to change way we work everyday. It has become the way we work, think, and
communicate to one another. Just about every job requires you to use the internet to get the job done
easier, and more efficiently. Without life these days would be extremely difficult. What is the internet?
The Internet is the global system of interconnected computer networks that use the Internet protocol
suite to link devices worldwide. Who invented the internet? Two men by the names of Robert E. Kahn
and Vint Cerf are the creators of the internet. Why was the internet created? The first workable
prototype of the Internet came in the late 1960s with the creation of ARPANET, or the Advanced
Research Projects Agency Network. Originally funded by the U.S. Department of Defense, ARPANET
used packet switching to allow multiple computers to communicate on a single network. (Andrew)
Reason number one why the internet has changed our lives, is because we as human beings are not
patient enough. The internet allows us to contact others and get a response sooner than we would if we
were to write a letter and put it through the mail system. The internet can bring us entertainment,
Information, and the insight faster than anything, but the quickness of the information hurt us; in fact,
Most people have lost their patients with society, because they are used to the way they gather
information from the internet, and are not able to be patient when the internet is not able to deliver

Reintroducing Wolves to Yellowstone National Park
Reintroducing Wolves to Yellowstone National Park The area of Yellowstone National Park has a long
history of inhabitants, even before it became the nation s first national park. In the area now known as
Yellowstone National Park, wolves were once very prominent. However due to westward expansion in
the 1800s, agriculture began to increase. This led to the wolves that once thrived in this area to being
practically completely removed. The increase in agriculture in this region led to a lot of the wolves
prey becoming reduced or eliminated. Since the wolves had a decrease in prey, the wolves began to
prey on domestic animals, which then resulted in humans eliminating the wolves almost completely.
By the 1930s the wolf was eliminated from the area. This was before people had an understanding of
how ecosystems work and the interrelation of species. Now that the wolves were gone, elk then
became overpopulated. A lot of the vegetation began to disappear as well due to the overgrazing of the
elk. However after about a 70 year absence, in 1995 the wolves were carefully brought back to
Yellowstone. When they brought the wolves back to the park, there was not just an effect on one
species or one area but rather they affected the entire ecosystem of the area. I will discuss their effects
on areas such elk, beaver colonies, scavengers, aspen trees, willow trees and cottonwood trees. Once
the wolves were brought back into Yellowstone, immediately the elk population began decreasing.

Case Of Mapp V Ohio Controversy Of The Fourth Amendment
Mapp v. Ohio: Controversy of the Fourth Amendment
Ms. Dollree Mapp and her daughter lived in Cleveland, Ohio. After receiving information that an
individual wanted in connection with a recent bombing was hiding in Mapp s house, the Cleveland
police knocked on her door and demanded entrance. Mapp called her attorney and subsequently
refused to let the police in when they failed to produce a search warrant. After several hours of
surveillance and the arrival of more officers, the police again sought entrance to the house. Although
Mapp did not allow them to enter, they gained access by forcibly opening at least one door. Once the
police were inside the house, Mapp confronted them and demanded to see their warrant. One of the
officers held ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Her attorney argued that she should never have been brought to trial because the material evidence
resulted from an illegal, warrant less search. Because the search was unlawful, he maintained that the
evidence was illegally obtained and must also be excluded. In its ruling, the Supreme Court of Ohio
recognized that ?a reasonable argument? could be made that the conviction should be reversed ?
because the ?methods? employed to obtain the evidence?were such as to offend a sense of justice.?
But the court also stated that the materials were admissible evidence. The Court explained its ruling by
differentiating between evidence that was peacefully seized from an inanimate object, such as a trunk,
rather than forcibly seized from an individual. Based on this decision, Mapp s appeal was denied and
her conviction was upheld.
Mapp appealed again to the Supreme Court of the United States in 1961. The case basically came
down to this fundamental question: may evidence obtained through a search in violation of the Fourth
Amendment be admissible in state criminal proceedings? The Fourth Amendment states, ?The right of
the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and
seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause?and particularly
describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.? The Fourth Amendment,
however, does not define when a search or seizure is

Apollo 11 Eras
The modern and postmodern eras were affected by many major events and people, which led to
novelists and poets to challenge literary conventions. Women were on the move to earn their right to
vote, and they finally could vote for the first time in 1918 (Prentice hall literature 1128). Susan B.
Anthony was pioneer crusader for the woman suffrage movement in the United States and president
(1892 1900) of the National American Woman Suffrage Association ( English Literature ). Females in
the world began to use more freedoms and exhibit more confidence. World War I and World War II
were the causes of more inventions, and more people craved to have the best new thing (Prentice Hall
Literature 1126). Britain declared war on Germany on August 3, 1914, due to the invasion of Belgium;

World War II greatly affected England after a German bombing; London and other cities were
destroyed (Prentice Hall Literature 1126). Due to the bombing, London s economy went from relying
on the mill and mining industry to becoming an economy reliant on banking and technology (Prentice
Hall Literature 1126). Technology continuously developed throughout the century and the Apollo 11
was one of the centuries biggest developments in 1969 ( The Apollo 11 Mission ). The Apollo 11 was
the first spacecraft to land 3 men onto the moon; those men included Neil AArmstrong, Michael
Collins, and Edwin E. Aldrin Jr. ( World Events ). In addition, people broke into freedom, On Nov. 9
1989, jubilant East and West Berliners began tearing down the Berlin Wall, a symbol of the Iron
Curtain for 28 years ( World Events ). Furthermore, the beginning of the 21st century appeared to

Grapes Of Wrath Transcendentalism
In John Steinbeck s 1939 novel, The Grapes of Wrath, the theme of family is explored. Steinbeck
follows a family of migrants moving westward during the Great Depression/Dust Bowl era, and
chronicles their experiences as they live through overly inferior conditions. In Chapter Seventeen of
the novel, Steinbeck discusses what life is like generally for migrant families as they journey out west.
It becomes the norm for families to set up camp each night with other families and share their food
and experiences. The migrants set up their own rules for their society and through these rules, the
audience can understand how these people wish to be governed. Their ideals are very similar to the
ideals of Henry David Thoreau, a transcendentalist author, poet, philosopher, and historian. In an
essay entitled Civil Disobedience, Thoreau ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The migrants in Steinbeck s novel have similar beliefs, but also have differing opinions regarding the
function of government. Both Steinbeck and Thoreau agree that in a society, there should be no ranks,
and everyone should be equal and united in order for the society to function properly. When referring
to how the unity of the migrants started, Steinbeck says, In the evening a strange thing happened: the
twenty families became one family, the children were the children of all. The loss of home became
one loss, and the golden time in the West was one dream, (Steinbeck 264). The migrants didn t have a
lot of possessions when they moved westward. They were all very impoverished, so there was nothing

The Hypocrisy Of Radical Feminism
Even other girls are concerned that feminism has become very hypocritical over the years. There are
girls today that feminism has become an hypocritical organization when it comes to talking about men
s rights. The women that claimed to be feminists are demonizing men to make women as more of a
victim to society. The feminists will do anything they can to keep themselves vulnerable and make
men as more of enemies. Taka Masuda has made points about the hypocrisy of feminists towards men

Truthfully, I just think that we shouldn t accept this behavior towards men and other women in
general. Many articles have proved about my argument that modern day feminism has gotten out of
hand. Each of the journalists mentioned all have a same argument about the misuse of feminism. We
should be aware that men and women do have equal rights in the United States. In our society, women
s rights and what affects both men and women can be a big dispute to handle in modern day. This is a
large issue both genders are facing in society and the media. From false accusations and overpowering
women, we should be able to settle our differences to avoid anymore conflict. If we don t talk about
this situation or at least take this seriously many radical feminist will get away with their fake
accusations without the law knowing. The feminist movement has become more hypocritical and over

Assess the Reasons for the Outbreak of Revolution in...
There are many reasons that could have been considered to be the cause if for the outbreak of
revolution in February 1917. The many effects of the war proved to lead towards the revolution
because it demonstrated how hopeless the Tsar and his government were in dealing with all the
problems Russia faced. Also the ministers within the government also had a part to play in the events
leading up to the revolution as many of them advised the Tsar to resign.
The war is an event that is widely considered to be a cause of the outbreak of the February 1917
revolution, despite in 1914 it appearing as though the Tsars power and authority had increased. This is
because after Russia losing the First World War, many problems had been worsened such ... Show

Therefore, morale in Russia was not a reason why there was an outbreak of revolution in 1917.
Nevertheless, the few military successes could not make up for the shocking casualty list revealed
later on in wartime. Also, when the economic and military problems arose they could have been
tolerable for the general public if they were encouraged by the people at the top such as the Tsar but
no leadership was shown. Though this was a problem in Russia the morale in Russia was not too bad
although people did begin to focus more on taking care of themselves because of the effects of the war
on everyday life. On the other hand, the fact that central leadership was not being provided to the
Russian public, criticisms began to be pointed directly at the Tsar. Nicholas failed in being commander
in chief of the Russian armed services. He did not encourage war effort and did not prove to be the
appropriate representative for the Russian people. In addition, the fact that he took on this important
role meant that he was responsible for the wars consequences and the survival of Tsardom depended
on military success. Due to the lack of success, Nicholas II was blamed and not his generals. This was
a reason for the revolution in February 1917 to happen as it appeared to the citizens of Russia that they
did not have a strong leader, also the tsarist system s claim to the loyalty of the Russian people had
been forfeited thus

Heart Pathophysiology
The function of the heart is to pump blood around the body. It is a hollow muscle and can be found
between the lungs in the mediastinum and behind the sternum and between the second and sixth ribs.
It is the size of a fist and has four chambers. The upper chambers are the left and right atria, with the
bottom chambers the left and right ventricles. The heart consists of several layers: the pericardium
(outer protective covering of fibrous tissue), the epicardium (made up of epithelial cells and secretes
serum which prevents the layers rubbing), the myocardium (the muscular wall of the heart and forms a
septum which separates the right and left side of the heart.

There are four valves in the heart that stop the blood from flowing in the wrong direction.
These are the tricuspid, pulmonary, mitral and aortic valves. The SA node (sino atrial node) stimulates
the atrium to contract forcing blood through the valves to the ventricles. The AV
(atrioventricular) node then stimulates the ventricles to contract which pumps blood out of the heart.
The right ventricle pumping blood to the lungs, and the left ventricle pumping blood to the body.
There are three types of circulation of the blood. These are pulmonary, systemic and portal circulation.
Pulmonary circulation is where the blood is pumped to the lungs. It arrives deoxygenated from the
superior and inferior vena cava into the right atrium. It then is pumped through the tricuspid valve into
the right ventricle. The blood then leaves through the pulmonary valve into the pulmonary artery
where it splits into the left and right pulmonary arteries and goes into the lungs and is re oxygenated.
The oxygenated blood returns from the lungs by the pulmonary veins and

Homophobia In Canada
As time has progressed, Canadian society has adapted an increasingly liberal attitude towards
controversial subjects. Such changes have thereby prompted an evident surge of positive perceptual
changes within the nation. Various prominent social advancements in Canadian history consist of the
recognition of coloured individuals, multiple movements for gender equality and the
acknowledgement of the rights of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender population, also known
as the LGBT community. Throughout history, gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender individuals have
been heavily discriminated against based upon their sexual preferences. Many individuals perceive
homosexuality to be abnormal and immoral due to the fact that it violates the ... Show more content on

Homophobia is the concept in which people are hateful or fearful towards lesbians and gays
(Dictionary.com, 2014). Fear and revulsion of the LGBT population commonly emanate from
religious concepts or traditional ideas of society. In 2011, 18% of hate crimes based upon sexual
orientation were reported, however, the number proved to be higher than expected due to the fact that
many more individuals are reporting these crimes to the authorities (Northhumberland View, 2013).
This further demonstrates the progression of LGBT rights in Canadian society due to the fact that
lesbian, gay and transgender individuals alike feel comfortable enough to report these matters to the
police and receive justice rather than allowing the issue to go unnoticed out of fear of being judged.
Also, though many laws have been implemented to prevent discrimination, it is a reality in which
many members of the LGBT community still face today. In terms of bullying, 25% of homosexual
adolescents reported being physically harassed by heterosexual peers in 2009 (CBC, 2010). However,
in 2002 approximately one third of homosexual students were harassed based upon their sexuality
(Riese, 2014). Although discrimination and bullying based upon sexual orientation is prevalent in
today s society, Canadians have become more accustomed to the idea of homosexuality which is
reflected through the decrease in the amount of harassment that occurs. However, with adequate
education and continuous learning about the matter, discrimination based upon sexuality can be
virtually eliminated in the

B-2 Spirit Essay
The Northrop (later Northrop Grumman) B 2 Spirit, also known as the Stealth Bomber, is an American
heavy penetration strategic bomber, featuring low observable stealth technology designed for
penetrating dense anti aircraft defenses; it is a flying wing design with a crew of two.[1][4] The
bomber can deploy both conventional and thermonuclear weapons, such as eighty 500 lb (230 kg)
class (Mk 82) JDAM Global Positioning System guided bombs, or sixteen 2,400 lb (1,100 kg) B83
nuclear bombs. The B 2 is the only acknowledged aircraft that can carry large air to surface standoff
weapons in a stealth configuration.

Congress and among the Joint Chiefs of Staff. The winding down of the Cold War in the latter portion
of the 1980s dramatically reduced the need for the aircraft, which was designed with the intention of
penetrating Soviet airspace and attacking high value targets. During the late 1980s and 1990s,
Congress slashed plans to purchase 132 bombers to 21. In 2008, a B 2 was destroyed in a crash shortly
after takeoff, though the crew ejected safely.[5] A total of 20 B 2s remain in service with the United
States Air Force, which plans to operate the B 2 until 2058.[6]
The B 2 is capable of all altitude attack missions up to 50,000 feet (15,000 m), with a range of more
than 6,000 nautical miles (6,900 mi; 11,000 km) on internal fuel and over 10,000 nautical miles
(12,000 mi; 19,000 km) with one midair refueling. It entered service in 1997 as the second aircraft
designed to have advanced stealth technology after the Lockheed F 117 Nighthawk attack aircraft.

conventional, non nuclear ordnance in the Kosovo War in 1999. It later served in Iraq and

the deserted streets to find a group of people that may or may not even exist. I had the chance to keep
them here, but I lost it just as easily. Today is not the day to judge Greg on his decisions as a parent,
but what sort of a father deserts his sons and runs after a girl he s just met? Bad parenting if you ask
me... I wish I knew sooner that he just walked out on them, I m not one to judge and I m certainly not
the ideal mother but that was immature. If only Greg and I were on better terms, I mean both of us
being the adults were childish to let down the boys, I m disappointed in the both of us. I know in my
heart, I couldn t stay with a man I no longer loved, neither could I cheat on him. Leaving him suited
me but broke max and fin. But I didn t care, did I? I mean as long as they have money life is complete.
Why Libby, why? I could have and should have made an effort to visit. I m a hypocritical person, to
blame all the reasons why the boys are now abounded in a shopping centre on Greg and his childish

Mr. Ebbers didn t quite exude many violations, because it never said if he actually knew what was

Explain How To Get Rid Of An Ugly Tree Stump
Ways To Remove An Ugly Tree Stump From Your Yard
If you lose a tree due to a storm or disease, you may be able to chop up most of the tree for easy
disposal, but you re still faced with the problem of stump removal. Getting rid of tree stumps is
difficult because of their size and the fact they are firmly rooted into the ground. Getting the stump out
of the ground is hard enough, but then you have to figure out what to do with it. Here s what you need
to know.
Why You Should Remove A Stump
If you have a huge yard and the tree stump is in a back corner, it may be acceptable to let it
decompose naturally over a period of years. If the stump is in your front yard, you should probably get
rid of it to keep it from being an eyesore. Even if you get it shaved down close to the soil, it still looks
bad. You can try to cover it with potted plants or yard ornaments, but you can t really hide the fact you
have an ugly tree stump in your yard. Another reason to get rid of a stump is so it won t attract ants
and termites. You don t want a big colony of carpenter ants to take up residence in your yard and
wander into your house to set up satellite nests. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
That takes a lot of work even if you have a tractor or truck to help. The big problem with pulling up a
big stump is how you re going to dispose of it. You may have to pay a fee if you haul it to the dump.
First, you have to figure out how to lift and transport it. Unless you live in the country and can toss the
stump out of the way or bury it out of sight, it may be better to destroy the stump while it s still in
place.

Lincoln s Assassination Character Analysis
The Characterization of John Wilkes Booth(Revision)
When John Wilkes Booth assassinated President Lincoln at Ford s Theater in Washington on April 14,
1865, people almost immediately deemed Lincoln a martyr. Although, no one even began to question
whether Booth was one. A martyr is said to be a person who is killed for their beliefs, in the case of
Booth, his hatred towards the president. Yet, with such a vague definition, martyr becomes very
subjective. Aren t those who are promised Paradise and eternal worship if they strap bombs to their
chests considered martyrs too? Of course not! Not in the eyes of Americans at least. More often than
not, martyrs are people who are willing to die for the cause in hopes that it will bring change.
However, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
At the core, what really infuriated Booth was his conviction that America was now destined to be
ruled by a dictator, Lincoln, who would bring about a horrible racial reversal. Booth was not exactly
subtle in his hatred for black people and his favoritism for slavery. Writing in his journal, Booth
complains that, this country was formed for the white not the black man (23) and that slavery was one
of the greatest blessings that God ever bestowed upon a favored nation (23). In making this comment,
Booth furthermore explains his uncompromising pursuit for Lincoln s head. After Lincoln s reelection
in 1864, the genesis of Booth s plot came to be. Two days after the surrender of the Confederate Army,
led by General Robert E. Lee, Lincoln delivered a speech on the White House balcony. In his speech,
Lincoln outlined some of his ideas for reconstruction as well as his wish to extend franchisement to
African Americans. Booth stood in the audience for the speech, and this notion seems to have
furthermore fueled the flames. He stated, That means nigger citizenship. Now, by God, I ll put him
through. That is the last speech he will ever make (30). Three days later, Booth made good on his
promise, driven by what he saw as a patriotic and religious duty to save his nation. Whereas some are
convinced that Booth was a patriot fighting for a noble cause, others maintain that he was simply a

Gene Expression Lab Report
Through multiple experiments, promoter elements were examined to see how they control gene
expression. The purpose was to learn how a gene is regulated in bacteria, how timing affects activity,
how positive and negative regulation control gene expression, how E. coli mutants respond in plate
assays, and how concentrations of sucrose affects gene expression. ß galactosidase enzyme, also
known as Beta gal or ß gal, was the assay in the experiments. ß galactosidase is an enzyme that breaks
up lactose into galactose and glucose. Furthermore, it is a hydrolase enzyme that catalyzes the
hydrolysis of ß galactosides into monosaccharides.
E. coli is often used in biology labs and is easy to manipulate. E. coli are rod shaped bacteria that are

tube, which contained .2ml of water. Tube B was the experimental tube, which contained .2ml of
water and .013M ONPG. The tubes were then incubated in 37° bath water for 20 minutes. After 20
minutes elapsed the tubes were removed and 2.7ml of 1M Na2CO3 was added to each tube. Next 1ml
was transferred from each tube into a cuvette, which was placed in the spectrophotometer at 420nm. A
spectrophotometer, also known as a spec, reads the intensity of light (absorbance level of liquids).
Tube A was inserted first in order to blank the spec, and tube B was second, so we could record the
absorbance of the solution. The absorbance was recorded for each cuvette containing a solution from
tube B. The A420 recordings we were needed to determine ONP produced in mmol and the activity.

A Short Note On Melanoma And Prostate Cancer
Allenmar Sicsic
Fall 2014 Carcinoma of the prostate, commonly known as prostate cancer, is a diagnosis of a
malignant tumor (adenocarcinoma) of the prostate gland (Chabner). The prostate is a significant
muscular organ that belongs to the male reproductive system. Approximately the size of a walnut, the
prostate is located at the base of the bladder and in front of the rectum (Prostate Gland). In conjunction
to the seminal vesicles and the Cowper s glands, the prostate secretes fluids that contain sperm which
is transported into the female reproductive tract for fertilization (Prostate Gland). The vas deferens is a
tube that carries sperm from the testes and secretions from the seminal vesicles to the prostate. After
the sperm ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Unfortunately, prostate cancer symptoms may be asymptomatic during the beginning stages.
Therefore, all males over the age of 50 should have routine physical examinations because it is only
through some or all of the following tests that prostate cancer can be detected early. The first test I will
be discussing is called the Digital Rectal Examination (DRE), which entails the doctor placing a
gloved and lubricated finger into the rectum in order to feel for any lumps in the prostate (Cherath).
Most prostate tumors start in the posterior area of the prostate, hence why the rectum is examined due
to its location being behind the prostate gland. This type of pre screening is less efficient than a PSA
test, however, it can help men who have normal PSA levels and still have tumors. If the doctor feels
there is a need for further testing after a DRE then he/she may request other tests to confirm the
findings. Furthermore, the most common and routine blood test that helps detect prostate cancer is the
Prostate Specific Antigen (PSA) test. This blood test is used to measure the amounts of PSA
circulating in the blood (Cherath). PSA is a protein made by the cells lining the prostate gland, and
normal levels of this are 4.0 ng/mL and lower.

My New Cyber Security Companies
Are you an angel investor in cyber security companies? Are you currently fund raising for your new
cyber security company? Do you work in venture capital and invest in cyber? If you ve answered yes
to any of these questions then you are are either producing slide decks which are too long or you are
spending time looking at slide decks which are too long. Last year, I switched from being a cyber
security executive to a venture capitalist focusing on early stage cyber companies. I had always been
supportive of the start up community and had done a bunch of angel investing. In 2016 I started
focusing on angel investing full time and in 2017 I launched Gula Tech Adventures which is a fund

Saying that you ve solved cyber security, you increase ROI, .etc isn t enough to get an investor excited
these days. Their next question will be how? or so what? . If your What slide helps you differentiate
from your competition, this makes it easier for an investor to get excited. Honesty and humility also
goes a real long way with investors. Calling out exactly what your advantages are is something a
venture capitalist or investor can work with. SLIDE TWO THE HOW In one slide, describe how you
do your what without giving away any proprietary secrets but conveying your ability and
comprehension of the problem. Many pitch decks I see completely skip the what slide and start with
the how . I see many entrepreneurs dive right into the how as a first introduction to their company.
This can be hard for an investor to figure out exactly why you are doing something or why a customer
would want to spend money with you on your solution. The how slide should answer many of the
basic questions without being evasive. Questions that need to be answered include: Cloud or on prem.
Which components are cloud? Don t say artificial intelligence or machine learning. Instead be specific
where you algorithms run on which data and how they manifest in the customer. Agents or no agents?
How is it deployed? If you parse logs, which vendors are supported? If you have open source or
commercial components, call them out. If it is a cloud solution, does

Essay on Integral Philosophy of Education
Integral Philosophy of Education
ABSTRACT: Education, an action, is a process, a development of the imperfect human being
intentionally directed at achieving the ideal of human plenitude in the best possible manner. This is a
description of the educational process based on the human being who travels toward plenitude, a point
of arrival; the human being who achieves his or her own perfection in the best possible manner; and a
method: intentional guidance towards plenitude in the harmonious formation of humanity. It is not
enough to say what education is or what it is like. It is necessary to clarify what education is for. The
harmonious development of essential, integral and vocational abilities makes the student more perfect

It is a method: intentionally guiding a human being towards the plenitude of the harmonious formation
of man. Personalized education does not exclude that which is essential common and equal in all
human beings; instead, it invigorates and justifies the individual himself or his individual personality.
Body and soul are susceptible to acquiring perfection and beauty, as Plato wished. This perfection
assumes there is a natural, progressive and systematic development of all of man s superior abilities.
Education is about preparing us for an integral life and for that which comes after our worldly
existence. For that reason, the organization of habits capable of adapting individuals to their physical
and social environment are so important. It would, however, be an error to limit us, as pragmatists do,
to the organization of habits and the adaptation of individuals to their circumstances. The formation of
men: as multi dimensional and harmonious human beings and not just as specialists is fundamental. In
this sense, education is the intentional perfection of uniquely human powers through systematic
activities exercised by teachers with learners.
The individual who receives education is an imperfect person capable of perfection. A person becomes
educated because he is able to be educated; because his ability to acquire education

Suburban Sitcoms In The 60 s
Suburban sitcoms coming out in the late 50 s early 60 s portrayed usually an average family with
average problems it solves by the end of the episode, most sitcoms including Leave It To Beaver
followed the same formula; two white parents, a mother, and father, and 2 3 children; every episode
followed the same steps, there s a problem, the problem is solved by the end of the episode, and a
lesson is learned by the main character. This held up perfectly in the 50 s and 60 s society, but sitcoms
needed to adapt to fit their society, as time progressed, more important issues showed up in the shows,
and as the US became more diverse so did the sitcoms. Today suburban sitcoms couldn t be more
different. As society became more diverse, more sitcoms were made to cater to the new audience. ...

Taxi Driver Movie Analysis
Taxi Driver (1976) follows Travis Bickle s life in New York after being honorably discharged. The
film is a psychological thriller that deals with Travis Bickle s mental instability and desire to do
something meaningful with his life. The narrative centers around Travis loneliness and disconnect
from society. The inciting incident occurs when Travis notices Betsy for the first time. Travis becomes
obsessed with Betsy, who works in a presidential campaign office for Charles Palantine. His pursuit
for Betsy comes to a halt when he takes her out to a pornographic film, and Betsy understandably feels
very uncomfortable. Betsy starts to ignore Travis calls after this mishap, leading him to march into the
campaign office and have a public falling out with her. The falling out finishes off act one and spirals
Travis into planning an assassination on Palantine. Before Travis attempts the assassination, he meets
and underage prostitute, Iris, who is the twist/midpoint. Travis sees innocence in Iris, and tries to lead
her away from her pimp, Sport. Travis assassination attempt on Palantine is foiled when he is caught
reaching for his firearm. This act two crisis pushes him in a new direction, to go after Sport instead.
Travis shout out at Sport s brothel is the climax of the film. The dénouement follows, with Travis
being heralded as a hero in newspapers and Iris parents thanking Travis for saving Iris. Later, Betsy
gets in Travis taxi, he drops her off and rides off looking

David Oliver Relin s Three Cups Of Tea
Three Cups of Tea starts with a short introduction by one of the authors, David Oliver Relin, about
Greg Mortenson. David tells a story about how Greg Mortenson helped a retired army helicopter pilot
find the fuel refill spot. David uses this story to lead into saying how amazing Greg Mortenson is and
what an incredible experience he got from working with Greg.
The novel starts with how Greg Mortenson first found Korphe, a Balti village in Pakistan. Mortenson
was trying to climb K2 (so that he could create a small memorial for his sister, Christa, who had died
from a seizure the year before) but after an incident near the summit he had to climb down. He got lost
several times on his way up and back down to Askole. Mortenson passed Askole and walked straight

Mortenson becomes even more upset when he finds out that the bridge that he needs to build in
Korphe is a lot more expensive then he had hoped.
Mortenson received a second donation of $10,000 from Jean Hoerni, the scientist who donated
$12,000 at the beginning of the project, and returned to Pakistan to build the bridge.
The rainy season cause a small set back in the building of the bridge but it was finished soon after.
Mortenson gets invited to an American Himalayan Foundation dinner where he meets his hero, Sir
Edmund Hillary. At the dinner, Hoerni and McCown (an American business man interested in
Mortenson s project) offer to support him financially for a year. Mortenson also gets to meet Tara
Bishop at the dinner. Tara and Mortenson get married six days later.
When Mortenson returns to Korphe to find at least ⅓ of the materials for the school and bridge
missing and that barely any progress had been made on the projects.

Jane Fonda Workouts And The Richard Simmons Dvds
Forget the Jane Fonda workouts and the Richard Simmons DVDs if you want to get in shape just turn
on the Barry White and do what comes naturally. It turns out that healthy sex has benefits that go well
beyond simply burning calories, and can improve your physical, mental, and emotional well being.
Although many of these benefits are seemingly obvious, few people have taken the time to think about
them. As Joy Davidson, PhD, a New York psychologist and sex therapist, said in an interview with
WebMD Of course, sex is everywhere in the media. But the idea that we are vital, sexual creatures is
still looked at in some cases with disgust or in other cases a bit of embarrassment. So to really take a
look at how our sexuality adds to our life and enhances our life and our health, both physical and
psychological, is eye opening for many people. Scientists have been studying the physiological effects
of sex presumably one can only study the feeding habits of fruit flies for so long and their studies have
shown a wide range of benefits both obvious and surprising. Of course these studies all looked at safer
sex within committed relationships, thus avoiding the many health risks associated with more casual
encounters. Among the many benefits: 1. That Healthy, Happy Glow: Researchers at the Royal
Edinburgh Hospital wanted to test the theory that regular sexual activity creates a noticeable
improvement in one s appearance. A group of volunteers were asked to guess the ages

Tyrod Taylor Biography
It s been a few days since the Buffalo Bills defeated the Cardinals. The Bills were able to get their first
win of the season in convincing fashion at New Era Field last Sunday.
Coming into the game with a 0 2 record and the recent firing of Offensive Coordinator Greg Roman,
prepped my heart for the worst.
Early in the 1st Quarter Tyrod Taylor ran the read option play and was able to gain 49 yards putting
the scoring position, after the play the crowd and vibe was insane.
Being in attendance at the game you could feel the shift in energy.
In addition to the ground game finally working the Bills defense of old was able to get to multiple
stops on a prolific offense of the Arizona Cardinals.

Tyrod Taylor was held to under 175 of passing and no passing TDs. The run game which had been
stagnant for the 1st 2 games seen LeSean McCoy reached 100 yards with 2 TDs and Tyrod Taylor
reached about 75 on the ground himself.
Taylor completion percentage was poor but missing Watkins as his top receiving threat it was
expected. The Bills aside from Watkins have a pedestrian receiving corp, which doesn t help Taylor at
all. This Bills will have to invest in a WR rather through the draft or free agency this upcoming off
season to maximize Taylor full potential as a passer.
The offense started to show promise and the defense was strong vs the Cardinals which is good as
they ll travel to New England to play the Patriots this week. The Patriots are ailing with QB woes and
the Bills could possibly steal a victory from the Patriots due their injury situation at QB.
After the Patriots the Bills have winnable games vs the Rams, 49ers and Dolphins, this is a stretch in
the schedule the Bills need to take advantage to snap the playoff

  • 2. dbq middle ages The Middle Ages come into being around A.D. 500, which was after the western half of the Roman Empire collapsed. They lasted to about A.D.1400 and are referenced to as a period of time that experienced violence by Barbaric invasion, feudalism, disease, and strong feelings for faith. The Dark Ages, the Age of Feudalism and the Age of Faith are all appropriate titles, however the label that best fits is the Age of Faith because of the political, economic and social influence the church held. The middle ages are often identified as the Dark Age because of the Black Death, invasions by the Barbarians, and because of lack of enlightenment for the common people. A plague most likely originating from Asia spread throughout Europe. Towns and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Their daily lives were centered on the manor and that was how it stayed until towns began to grow into cities after the crusades (OI). Feudalism had positive bearings because it was the solution for decentralized government and lack of protection but also held people back due to lack of social mobility. The Age of Faith is most accurate for describing the Middle Ages because of the political, social and economic influence the church held. Feudalism was still not providing one united central government but instead many small ones and so the church gained a governmental authority over Western Europe. People were all working to try to get into Heaven, and because of that there was a lot of control over telling people what to do. The church could excommunicate people and even Kings if they felt that they were refusing to comply (OI). This gave the church power over the Kings because they controlled who would not be allowed to return to the church; if someone were excommunicated they would not be able to reach Heaven. At the time the bible was written in Latin, which only could be read to the common people by a clergy member who could explain what was written. With the reliance on the church the pope s words and explanations were taken as God s. The Truce of God stated different peace agreements, which they enforced by exerting their power and influence (Doc. 5). The Crusades were a major part of this because the church declared to try to capture the Holy land. Pope Urban ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. The Folk Through Three Decades This essay, by Sija Tsai, demonstrates in a historical chronology how the WFF (Winnipeg Folk Festival) changed its suggested definition of the folk through three decades. She explored this topic by exploring media coverage and administrator beliefs on the subject of the folklore presence at these festivals. The festival was inaugurated in 1974 and was originally designated to celebrate Winnipeg s centenary. However, with its success, the festival because an annual celebration of folk. At its beginnings, the WFF featured mostly Anglo North American and Irish folk singers. the musical acts would feature performances (often vocal) of traditional material (often ballads) and original material (often highly politicized) by mostly young ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The outcome of the pluralization of the WFF performances had mixed reviews. Some participants thought that the festival was betraying their folk value due to the implementation of more popular and world artist and others argued that it was a good change and that it supported a diversity acceptance narrative. The pluralization of performances in the WFF s continued through the 1980 s and 1990 s. During the 1990 s there was an apparent fusion of traditional and popular idioms which further blurred the lines between its suggested binary. During the early 2000 there were questions addressing the political issues of the program such as the apparent absence of aboriginal performances. In conclusion, the change in performance seen in the last three decades of the WFF shows that the idea of the folk is tangible and is subject to change. One of the principle reason that its definition changes is because of the underlying idea that folk music is music which features exoticism from the normal repertoire which constitutes a Canadian identity. Therefore, while in the 1970, the English ballads were considered different, as the performance frequency of the English ballads were growing, its integration into the Canadian sound/music identity was being solidified. Hence, the three decades of folk festival shows that this continuous search for the exotic and fusion is due in part of a ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Yet after recently learning about conformity involving informational versus normative information, it opened my eyes further to understand how influenced society is as a whole. Another similar example that has been growing recently is social media. Instead of flipping on the news stations, it is just as popular now for individuals to look up information on the internet. Although just like how news stations are biased and only hold true to the sources they support, as do websites on the internet. • 7. The Influence Of The Internet The internet was created to change way we work everyday. It has become the way we work, think, and communicate to one another. Just about every job requires you to use the internet to get the job done easier, and more efficiently. Without life these days would be extremely difficult. What is the internet? The Internet is the global system of interconnected computer networks that use the Internet protocol suite to link devices worldwide. Who invented the internet? Two men by the names of Robert E. Kahn and Vint Cerf are the creators of the internet. Why was the internet created? The first workable prototype of the Internet came in the late 1960s with the creation of ARPANET, or the Advanced Research Projects Agency Network. Originally funded by the U.S. Department of Defense, ARPANET used packet switching to allow multiple computers to communicate on a single network. (Andrew) Reason number one why the internet has changed our lives, is because we as human beings are not patient enough. The internet allows us to contact others and get a response sooner than we would if we were to write a letter and put it through the mail system. The internet can bring us entertainment, Information, and the insight faster than anything, but the quickness of the information hurt us; in fact, Most people have lost their patients with society, because they are used to the way they gather information from the internet, and are not able to be patient when the internet is not able to deliver ... • 8. Reintroducing Wolves to Yellowstone National Park Reintroducing Wolves to Yellowstone National Park The area of Yellowstone National Park has a long history of inhabitants, even before it became the nation s first national park. In the area now known as Yellowstone National Park, wolves were once very prominent. However due to westward expansion in the 1800s, agriculture began to increase. This led to the wolves that once thrived in this area to being practically completely removed. The increase in agriculture in this region led to a lot of the wolves prey becoming reduced or eliminated. Since the wolves had a decrease in prey, the wolves began to prey on domestic animals, which then resulted in humans eliminating the wolves almost completely. By the 1930s the wolf was eliminated from the area. This was before people had an understanding of how ecosystems work and the interrelation of species. Now that the wolves were gone, elk then became overpopulated. A lot of the vegetation began to disappear as well due to the overgrazing of the elk. However after about a 70 year absence, in 1995 the wolves were carefully brought back to Yellowstone. When they brought the wolves back to the park, there was not just an effect on one species or one area but rather they affected the entire ecosystem of the area. I will discuss their effects on areas such elk, beaver colonies, scavengers, aspen trees, willow trees and cottonwood trees. Once the wolves were brought back into Yellowstone, immediately the elk population began decreasing. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

After receiving information that an individual wanted in connection with a recent bombing was hiding in Mapp s house, the Cleveland police knocked on her door and demanded entrance. Mapp called her attorney and subsequently refused to let the police in when they failed to produce a search warrant. After several hours of surveillance and the arrival of more officers, the police again sought entrance to the house. Although Mapp did not allow them to enter, they gained access by forcibly opening at least one door. Once the police were inside the house, Mapp confronted them and demanded to see their warrant. Her attorney argued that she should never have been brought to trial because the material evidence resulted from an illegal, warrant less search. Because the search was unlawful, he maintained that the evidence was illegally obtained and must also be excluded. In its ruling, the Supreme Court of Ohio recognized that ?a reasonable argument? could be made that the conviction should be reversed ? because the ?methods? employed to obtain the evidence?were such as to offend a sense of justice.? But the court also stated that the materials were admissible evidence. The Court explained its ruling by differentiating between evidence that was peacefully seized from an inanimate object, such as a trunk, rather than forcibly seized from an individual. Based on this decision, Mapp s appeal was denied and her conviction was upheld. Mapp appealed again to the Supreme Court of the United States in 1961. The case basically came down to this fundamental question: may evidence obtained through a search in violation of the Fourth Amendment be admissible in state criminal proceedings? The Fourth Amendment states, ?The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause?and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.? Steinbeck follows a family of migrants moving westward during the Great Depression/Dust Bowl era, and chronicles their experiences as they live through overly inferior conditions. In Chapter Seventeen of the novel, Steinbeck discusses what life is like generally for migrant families as they journey out west. It becomes the norm for families to set up camp each night with other families and share their food and experiences. The migrants set up their own rules for their society and through these rules, the audience can understand how these people wish to be governed. The many effects of the war proved to lead towards the revolution because it demonstrated how hopeless the Tsar and his government were in dealing with all the problems Russia faced. Also the ministers within the government also had a part to play in the events leading up to the revolution as many of them advised the Tsar to resign. The war is an event that is widely considered to be a cause of the outbreak of the February 1917 revolution, despite in 1914 it appearing as though the Tsars power and authority had increased. Therefore, morale in Russia was not a reason why there was an outbreak of revolution in 1917. Nevertheless, the few military successes could not make up for the shocking casualty list revealed later on in wartime. Also, when the economic and military problems arose they could have been tolerable for the general public if they were encouraged by the people at the top such as the Tsar but no leadership was shown. Though this was a problem in Russia the morale in Russia was not too bad although people did begin to focus more on taking care of themselves because of the effects of the war on everyday life. On the other hand, the fact that central leadership was not being provided to the Russian public, criticisms began to be pointed directly at the Tsar. Nicholas failed in being commander in chief of the Russian armed services. He did not encourage war effort and did not prove to be the appropriate representative for the Russian people. In addition, the fact that he took on this important role meant that he was responsible for the wars consequences and the survival of Tsardom depended on military success. Due to the lack of success, Nicholas II was blamed and not his generals. This was a reason for the revolution in February 1917 to happen as it appeared to the citizens of Russia that they did not have a strong leader, also the tsarist system s claim to the loyalty of the Russian people had been forfeited thus ... Homophobia is the concept in which people are hateful or fearful towards lesbians and gays (Dictionary.com, 2014). Fear and revulsion of the LGBT population commonly emanate from religious concepts or traditional ideas of society. In 2011, 18% of hate crimes based upon sexual orientation were reported, however, the number proved to be higher than expected due to the fact that many more individuals are reporting these crimes to the authorities (Northhumberland View, 2013). This further demonstrates the progression of LGBT rights in Canadian society due to the fact that lesbian, gay and transgender individuals alike feel comfortable enough to report these matters to the police and receive justice rather than allowing the issue to go unnoticed out of fear of being judged. Also, though many laws have been implemented to prevent discrimination, it is a reality in which many members of the LGBT community still face today. In terms of bullying, 25% of homosexual adolescents reported being physically harassed by heterosexual peers in 2009 (CBC, 2010). However, in 2002 approximately one third of homosexual students were harassed based upon their sexuality (Riese, 2014). Although discrimination and bullying based upon sexual orientation is prevalent in today s society, Canadians have become more accustomed to the idea of homosexuality which is reflected through the decrease in the amount of harassment that occurs. During the late 1980s and 1990s, Congress slashed plans to purchase 132 bombers to 21. In 2008, a B 2 was destroyed in a crash shortly after takeoff, though the crew ejected safely.[5] A total of 20 B 2s remain in service with the United States Air Force, which plans to operate the B 2 until 2058.[6] The B 2 is capable of all altitude attack missions up to 50,000 feet (15,000 m), with a range of more than 6,000 nautical miles (6,900 mi; 11,000 km) on internal fuel and over 10,000 nautical miles (12,000 mi; 19,000 km) with one midair refueling. I begged them through a river of tears to stay with me. But that was not enough. I can t adjust to reality, watching their lanky bodies fade in the distance keeps reminding me of the fate of their lives. Max is only 12, too young to witness violent and unforgiving deaths of innocent citizens. What happens if I never see them again? I assumed I was doing right but apparently, what I think is right is wrong. I am only just beginning to realise what has just happened. They are gone. My two young boys are gone forever. I have hugged them for the final time. They risked their lives to find me. But I couldn t do the same. I m stuck in a half broken down office building in the middle of a deserted city and I can t leave because too many people rely on me to stay here and help. Inhale. Exhale. Explain How To Get Rid Of An Ugly Tree Stump Ways To Remove An Ugly Tree Stump From Your Yard If you lose a tree due to a storm or disease, you may be able to chop up most of the tree for easy disposal, but you re still faced with the problem of stump removal. Getting rid of tree stumps is difficult because of their size and the fact they are firmly rooted into the ground. Getting the stump out of the ground is hard enough, but then you have to figure out what to do with it. Here s what you need to know. Why You Should Remove A Stump If you have a huge yard and the tree stump is in a back corner, it may be acceptable to let it decompose naturally over a period of years. If the stump is in your front yard, you should probably get rid of it to keep it from being an eyesore. Even if you get it shaved down close to the soil, it still looks bad. You can try to cover it with potted plants or yard ornaments, but you can t really hide the fact you have an ugly tree stump in your yard. Lincoln s Assassination Character Analysis The Characterization of John Wilkes Booth(Revision) When John Wilkes Booth assassinated President Lincoln at Ford s Theater in Washington on April 14, 1865, people almost immediately deemed Lincoln a martyr. Although, no one even began to question whether Booth was one. A martyr is said to be a person who is killed for their beliefs, in the case of Booth, his hatred towards the president. Yet, with such a vague definition, martyr becomes very subjective. Aren t those who are promised Paradise and eternal worship if they strap bombs to their chests considered martyrs too? Of course not! Not in the eyes of Americans at least. More often than not, martyrs are people who are willing to die for the cause in hopes that it will bring change. However, ... At the core, what really infuriated Booth was his conviction that America was now destined to be ruled by a dictator, Lincoln, who would bring about a horrible racial reversal. Booth was not exactly subtle in his hatred for black people and his favoritism for slavery. Writing in his journal, Booth complains that, this country was formed for the white not the black man (23) and that slavery was one of the greatest blessings that God ever bestowed upon a favored nation (23). In making this comment, Booth furthermore explains his uncompromising pursuit for Lincoln s head. After Lincoln s reelection in 1864, the genesis of Booth s plot came to be. Two days after the surrender of the Confederate Army, led by General Robert E. Lee, Lincoln delivered a speech on the White House balcony. In his speech, Lincoln outlined some of his ideas for reconstruction as well as his wish to extend franchisement to African Americans. Booth stood in the audience for the speech, and this notion seems to have furthermore fueled the flames. He stated, That means nigger citizenship. Now, by God, I ll put him through. That is the last speech he will ever make (30). Three days later, Booth made good on his promise, driven by what he saw as a patriotic and religious duty to save his nation. The prostate is a significant muscular organ that belongs to the male reproductive system. Approximately the size of a walnut, the prostate is located at the base of the bladder and in front of the rectum (Prostate Gland). Unfortunately, prostate cancer symptoms may be asymptomatic during the beginning stages. Therefore, all males over the age of 50 should have routine physical examinations because it is only through some or all of the following tests that prostate cancer can be detected early. The first test I will be discussing is called the Digital Rectal Examination (DRE), which entails the doctor placing a gloved and lubricated finger into the rectum in order to feel for any lumps in the prostate (Cherath). Most prostate tumors start in the posterior area of the prostate, hence why the rectum is examined due to its location being behind the prostate gland. This type of pre screening is less efficient than a PSA test, however, it can help men who have normal PSA levels and still have tumors. If the doctor feels there is a need for further testing after a DRE then he/she may request other tests to confirm the findings. Furthermore, the most common and routine blood test that helps detect prostate cancer is the Prostate Specific Antigen (PSA) test. This blood test is used to measure the amounts of PSA circulating in the blood (Cherath). PSA is a protein made by the cells lining the prostate gland, and normal levels of this are 4.0 ng/mL and lower. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

It is a method: intentionally guiding a human being towards the plenitude of the harmonious formation of man. Personalized education does not exclude that which is essential common and equal in all human beings; instead, it invigorates and justifies the individual himself or his individual personality. Body and soul are susceptible to acquiring perfection and beauty, as Plato wished. This perfection assumes there is a natural, progressive and systematic development of all of man s superior abilities. Education is about preparing us for an integral life and for that which comes after our worldly existence. For that reason, the organization of habits capable of adapting individuals to their physical and social environment are so important. It would, however, be an error to limit us, as pragmatists do, to the organization of habits and the adaptation of individuals to their circumstances. The formation of men: as multi dimensional and harmonious human beings and not just as specialists is fundamental. In this sense, education is the intentional perfection of uniquely human powers through systematic activities exercised by teachers with learners. The individual who receives education is an imperfect person capable of perfection. A person becomes educated because he is able to be educated; because his ability to acquire education ...
