Ethical Issues In Social Media
The usage of social media and other electronic communication is rising very quickly as numbers of
social media platforms, applications and outlets are continuing to advance. Many people use online
journals, social media platforms, online chat rooms and symposium to connect personally, also
professionally with others. Social media is an intriguing and beneficial gadget when used correctly.
The nature of social media, however, can act as a risk as it attempts direct posting freedom that
permits very minimal time to reflect on the post and carries an additional burden that what is posted
on the web is detectable by a court of law even when it has been deleted a long time ago. This paper
aims to explain while there are ethical issues and risks related to the utilization social media, when
used properly it can benefit healthcare professionals in many ways, including fostering profession
participation and connections, promoting timely patient doctor communication, and protecting patient
privacy and confidentiality. Background What is social media? Social media are computer mediated
technologies that facilitate the creation and sharing of information, ideas, career interests and other
forms of expression via virtual communities and networks Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia. Social
media usage offers many potential benefits for healthcare professionals and patients, but it can also
bring potential risks for both professionals and patients safety and privacy, if managed poorly.

James Agee and Walker Evans Essay
James Agee and Walker Evans
Fortune Magazine, in July and August of 1936, sent James Agee and Walker Evans to research a story
on sharecropping. In the preface of Let Us Now Praise Famous Men, Agee describes it as a curious
piece of work. They were to produce an article on cotton tenantry in the United States, in the form of a
photographic and verbal record of the daily living and environment of an average white family of
tenant farmers, (IX). James Agee and Walker Evans set out to write and photograph an article for a
magazine, and ended up experimenting with the form of the novel itself.
James Agee was born in 1909 in Knoxville, Tennessee, but was in the urban middle class, so he had no
experience with cotton farming. When ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Agee and Evans set out to publish an article in Fortune Magazine, but when they brought back their
work to the editors, they were rebuked. The article was over 400 pages of controversial writing and
even various book editors refused to publish it as a novel. Finally in 1941 it was published by Mifflin
in Massachusetts after the author was forced to take out a few outlawed words in the state. They failed
in their original mission to produce an article, but undoubtedly presented a photographic and verbal
record of the average white southern tenant farmer families. By living with three different families for
four weeks, Evans depicted their innermost sorrows through his photographs, and Agee portrayed and
emboldened their spirit by his written words. The novel itself was an experiment in form, with Evans
photos all placed in the front without captions, rather than dispersed throughout the novel. Even in the
text, Agee continually stops himself mid description and enters into a stream of consciousness
describing the difficulties of articulating accurately the tenant families true expressions. For these
reasons, it was considered a failure when it was published, but also for the same reasons it was
considered an amazing success twenty years later in the 1960s.
In the Preface, Agee conveys that this is a book only by necessity. More seriously, it is an effort in
human actuality, in which the reader is no less centrally involved than the

Adam Eve Lost in Paradise
Paradise Lost by John Milton: Discuss the relationship between Adam and Eve, as portrayed in Book
9 of Paradise Lost. How does Milton s portrayal compare to or differ from how Adam and Eve are
typically portrayed, described, or understood?
Thoughts of Eve conjure images of a meek woman who is submissive and created to serve her
husband. Adam is thought of as a strong, beautiful man created in the likeness of God. He is the ruler
of land and sea and leader of all mankind. Their relationship is thought of as idyllic and unified, even
throughout and after their fall. However, Milton casts a different light on their relationship and
personal traits in Book 9 of Paradise Lost.
Adam s submissive helpmate becomes an independent, contrary, ... Show more content on

Therefore, his love for her leads him to eat the fruit because if she is to die then he chooses to die with
her because as he says in line 959 to lose thee were to lose myself (2111).
Now that they both have sinned, the relationship becomes one of contention, contrary to the traditional
image. Sexually it is lustful and depraved lacking the love and intimacy they once shared. Adam is no
longer mild towards Eve, but accusatory and blaming even speaking harshly too her which is opposite
of how he treated her before the apple. She in turn retaliates against him and tries to blame him for not
being stronger. She even accuses of him of not being able to withstand the temptation if it had been
him. Sadly, what becomes of their relationship is a blame game that is fruitless and controlled by pride
with neither taking responsibility for their actions (2116).
In the end of this book, Milton inserts an interesting point about the male/female relationship that
easily could be overlooked. He switches from Adam making a point about Eve, to generalizing all
women of which Eve is the representative. Adam talks of Eve s confidence and perfection and how
much he admired her, but realizes that is where he went wrong calling it his crime (2116). Then he
makes the shift towards women, which is craftily done by Milton, almost like a forewarning to men to
beware of the power of women in the following:
Thus it shall befall
Him who to

Strategic Interventions To Improve Parent And Child...
Overall, the lack of parental involvement due to a low economic status reduces high expectations for
children due to the lack of financial and relationship stability. According to Osborne and Ankrum
(2015), low income families reduce material hardship significantly by creating parental stress, alter
positive parenting, decreasing parental involvement, which lower cognitive ability and social skills. In
addition, financial support from parents is needed to provide the highest level for cognitive
development and social skills. The lack of financial support decreases parental involvement in the
child s development, such as shared activities, helping and guiding homework sessions. In conclusion,
the more time a parent invests in their children rather than being at work, increases their child s
academic success, reduce levels of delinquency, and promote social and emotional well being
(Osborne Ankrum, 2015).
Strategic Interventions to Improve Parent and Child Relationships
Family System Model Lewis (1986) explained that there is a trend setting in single parenting and
families are becoming a norm in American culture, therefore, there should be an increase on education
on strategic interventions with child children who fit the criteria. School related problems can ... Show

An early study was conducted to determine the impact of negative stress and emotional reaction due to
the absence of a parent. Their children can be emotionally demanding with their needs and parents can
lack the support to aid them. Bratton and Landreth (1995) found that the strength of the parent child
relationship determines the child s well being. That is to say that the problems that emerge for single
parents can increase behavioral issues, such as anxiety and depression. Filial Therapy provides parents
with parenting skills to guide the child when they feel vulnerable, overwhelmed, and emotionally

Evolution Is A Highly Argumentative Topic, Today s Society
Payne 1
Jared Payne

Pro evolution: Why? Creation versus evolution is a highly argumentative topic, especially in today s
society. A recent debate, between Bill Nye The Science Guy and Ken Ham, has sparked even more
controversy over this particular topic. A poll administered by Gallup shows that forty six percent of
Americans believe God created humans as they are now ten thousand years ago, and that the only
reliable dating system is the Word of God (Lovan 1). Many others believe that humans have evolved
into how they are in present times, and that science, and its ways of dating things, is reliable and
correct. Evolution wins over creationism because Bill Nye won the debate with Ken
Ham, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Some say that Nye won, not only with his facts, but with his style (Chowdhury 2). Because Bill Nye is
representing evolutionists, Payne 2 and he beat Ham, who is representing creationists, this is one of
few signs that signify that evolution beats creation.
Another way that evolution wins over creation is that creationist views threaten the science of the
United States. With almost half of the United States in favor of creation, this could pose a potential
threat to US science. Innovation is in jeopardy if everything known about nature and the universe is
forgotten by ancient text translated into English. The Earth is not
6,000 or 10,000 years old, Nye said in an interview with The Associated Press, citing scientists
estimates that it is about 4.5 billion years old. It s not. And if that conflicts with your beliefs, I strongly
feel you should question your beliefs. [Nye also emphasized that] If we raise a generation of students
who don t believe in the process of science . . . you re not going to continue to innovate Bible stories
are presented as an alternative to evolution in some states, as approved by lawmakers and school
boards. Teachers in Tennessee are protected by a law to let students judge scientific theories, including

Understanding The Real Life Events During The Oardwalk Empire
oardwalk Empire, the show that demonstrates the real life events that occurred during the early 1920s
in Atlantic City, New Jersey, represents several intercultural communication concepts. This
historically based drama series provided through HBO was chosen because of its wide variety of
themes, conflicts, and plots driven through certain means of communication and interactions among
the characters. For instance, the communication and intercultural models observed while watching the
television show only enhance the audience s entertainment and interest. Atlantic City was thrown back
to the days of a lawless country, which was due to prohibition and the consumption of alcohol that was
not going to be stopped by anyone. In fact, most political servants were involved in the daily activities
and were either profiting from bootlegging alcohol or helping those who did. They profited monetarily
and were in power and control because they could hide in the shadows and still appear to be the pillars
of society. It could be said that the very definition of prohibition in the early 1920s where a patron

of the extracurricular activities except those who obeyed the laws of the time. The three main concepts
that will be discussed in much further detail include high power distance, a

Riverview Medical Center ( Rrmc )
OVERVIEW
In 2004, Riverview Medical Center (RRMC), originally called The Holy Name of Jesus Hospital, was
acquired and revamped by the Hospital Management Associates (HMA) and has become a state of art
facility with improved efficiencies to ensure high quality care. RRMC is a 281 licensed bed acute care
facility accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations, certified for
participation in the Medicare Program, and contracted/participated in Blue Cross Plans (Richards
Slovensky, 2004). The facility is one of the primary employers in the area and provides job
opportunities to approximately 700 individuals (Richards Slovensky, 2004). RRMC encountered
significant challenges against their competitors, Mountain View, Gadsden Regional and HealthSouth.
A major challenge was the fact that they were not the sole or primary healthcare provider in the
market service area. Secondly, many of RRMC s key medical staff members and group practices were
not in a central location within the vicinity of the hospital. Thirdly, RRMC s emergency department
was in great need of renovation and they lacked in the variety of clinical programs they offered in
terms of cancer treatment, neurosurgery, psychiatry, obstetrics, rehabilitation and surgical outpatient
care.

Reckless Driving in My Neighborhood
Reckless Driving In My Neighborhood
Nancy S. Young

March 13, 2006 Reckless Driving in My Neighborhood Our neighborhood is a place where we should
be comfortable letting our children play, without having to worry about them getting hit by a reckless
driver. If our children are in their on yard, there is still a chance for a speedy driver to loose control
and hit one of them. On the street that I live on there is a great deal of children, of all ages, that ride
bikes and play basketball. The children sometimes use the road to ride their bikes, because there is no
other place for them to ride. Are we supposed to make our children stay off their bikes to satisfy the

I know that there are not enough police officers to patrol every area all the time, but maybe they could
just go through our neighborhood enough that people can see that the area is being patrolled and then
maybe the traffic would be calmer. Traffic calming can be achieved through citizens based, grassroots
education, enforces and engineering (City of Tulsa, 2005). If the neighbors are worried about traffic
control and the safety of their family, having knowledge on what we might can do, will create
communication between neighbors. The city is developing a traffic calming program, which will help
establish guidelines and criteria for speed humps or other traffic calming devices (City of Tulsa,
2005). Drive 25 is a program designed for engineers to work with neighborhoods to address speed
control issues (City of Tulsa, 2005). Traffic calming is improving the driving and life in a
neighborhood. All the effects of traffic calming are to help reinforce the rights to use their
neighborhood safely and comfortably (SFGOV, 2001). Traffic calming is all about education,
engineering and enforcement. Since I have lived in my neighborhood, there has been reckless driving
everyday around the same time and nothing has been done to enforce the law. Now that my voice has
finally been heard, the drivers will improve toward safe driving and the police officers will be

My Fathers Prostitute By Steven Whitacre
Steven Whitacre experienced a very traumatic childhood of abuse from his father which led to a very
difficult adulthood. In his book My Fathers Prostitute , he talks about his life, starting out when his
father first abused him to more recent times in adulthood to where he finally sought help and started to
move on in his life started to live the life he should and deserves. This book really opened my eyes on
what all goes on in this world that I would have never guessed. Every eight minutes, a child is
sexually assaulted in the U.S., and 93% know the perpetrator ( Adult Survivors of Childhood ). To me
this statistic seems insane and I cannot ever imagine being sexually assaulted by anyone let alone one
of my parents that I am supposed to trust and love. When you really think about it, that how every
eight minutes a child is getting sexually assaulted it is astonishing. It makes me wonder how many
people I know that I have been sexually assaulted but don t tell anyone. I assume there are many
different cases of sexual assault and how there are different levels of how traumatic they are to the
individual someone came upon. With some people, the sexual assault only happened once, and with
others like the author of My Fathers Prostitute it happens during their entire childhood to impact the
individual even more. I am not saying that the individuals who have only been sexually assaulted once
came out un hurt or traumatized, but I would just imagine that it would not leave

These programs represent a low risk investment in human capital development with verified impact.
These methods are highly cost effective and have significant economies of scale and can comfortably
be supported by developing economies. Vaccination is one of the few preventive public health
measures that directly save economy money. In developing economies the cost per year of
immunizing children against infectious diseases is equivalent to the cost of a single day of health care
in the United States of America. Also, lack of vaccination result in immense economic costs, as
responding to outbreak is highly costly affair for the health department. For instance, an outbreak in
2008 that occurred in San Diego resulted in a total cost of 176,980 dollars incurred by the health
department. Another, outbreak in the same year involving several hospitals attracted a cost of 800,000
dollars to contain the outbreak (Kutty et al., 2013). Not vaccinating children incurs parents as well as

Pros And Cons Of Uncorroborated Evidence
Firstly, uncorroborated evidence reduces the rate of perpetrators escaping from conviction. It is
pertinent to note that in most of the sexual assault cases where the child is the victim, there is often
little or no physical evidence. The child and the accused are likely to be the only witnesses. Due to the
requirement of corroborated evidence, where in fact, there is none, it had undoubtedly led to many
perpetrators escaping conviction as the alleged victim, the child s evidence is not corroborated and
there was nothing else to prove guilt beyond reasonable doubt. With the newly implemented section
where there is no requirement of corroborated evidence, the judge has the opportunity to consider the
child s uncorroborated evidence and able to access the weight to be accorded to such evidence in the
particular case. The weight is to be attached to the evidence or testimony of the child and is to be
assessed by the trier of fact but not the rigid requirement of corroborated evidence.
Besides, without the need of corroborated evidence, it is said to be more flexible compared to
requiring the corroborated evidence. The court is such situation will consider the facts and the
testimony of the child witness before convicting the defendant. Likewise, when corroboration is ...

Power In Khaled Hosseini s A Thousand Splendid Suns
One moment she was talking and the next she was on all fours, wide eyed and red faced, trying to
draw a breath.... She howled with pain as he slammed the door shut. A key rattled in the lock (268).
Khaled Hosseini develops these images throughout the novel A Thousand Splendid Suns. There are
several imperative sections where locks and keys are used as a symbol of power. Through Mariam,
Laila, Aziza, and Zalmai, Hosseini reveals the true power Rasheed has over his wives and children.

He is in complete control of their lives, and keeps them locked away for three days without food or

of starving, Laila takes Aziza to the local orphanage where she will be better fed. While Aziza is at the
orphanage, Rasheed often refuses to walk with Laila to visit her, he does this to take control over her,
and tease her that she cannot see her daughter. When Tariq visits Laila, Zalmai sees Tariq and tells
Rasheed about him when Rasheed returns home from work. He took Zalmai by the elbow. Zalmai
meekly let himself be led upstairs.... Mariam saw his feet pounding the steps as he came down. She
saw him pocketing the key, (345). Rasheed proceeds to beat Mariam and Laila profusely. He was still
on top of Laila, his eyes wide and crazy, his hands wrapped around her neck. Laila s face was turning
blue now, her eyes had rolled back (348). Mariam had gone to the toolshed to get a shovel, when she
sees him killing Laila she brings the shovel up and swings it down on him. He falls off of Laila, but
Mariam raises the shovel again and kills him. After Laila wakes up, Mariam reaches into his pocket
and takes the keys. Khaled Hosseini uses the symbolism of locks and keys throughout A Thousand

The Golden Age begins in 1415 and ends in 1578 (Kreis, 2011, para 4).The Golden Age is also

Advantages And Disadvantages Of Trade Unions In South Africa
A trade union is an organisation which consists of members, including workers and union leaders who
come together to protect and stimulate their common interests. The majority of trade unions are
independent of the employer. However, trade unions do try to develop close relationships between
employees and the employer. Sometimes, this may take the form of a partnership agreement between
the trade union and the employer which points out their common interests and objectives. According
to the South African Bill of Rights, anyone is free to join a trade union.
Employers who recognise a trade a union will negotiate with the members over their pay and working

The Invention Of The First Mover
The first mover advantage is defined as a firm s ability to be better off than its competitors as a result
of being the first to market in a new product category. This concept is accepted without questioning or
objecting it, a great amount of mangers believe that be incorporating this status will increase their
competitive advantage and obtaining a great part of the market share. There are executives that believe
that the first mover is a great advantage that will make their business succeed in every industry that
they enter, the case is that there are many scientific refutals of this method because not every firm has
the same sources as others, and the market and technology change differently, plus we must include
other different factors. The research in this article found situations in which companies are successful
with the first mover method, but also found situations where firms need different sources and
sometimes are unsuccessful. In the article, we found two factors that influence greatly the first mover
s success, this factors are:
The pace at which the technology of the product is evolving
The pace at which the market for the product is expanding
By, knowing this factors we can create a strategy in competing in the market depending on these
factors, after doing this we could distinguish between the long term advantage which can increase a

greatest, but can give

The Independence Of Meta Cinema And Authorship
Chapter 2
This chapter will examine the independence of meta cinema and authorship. As Valck and Hagener
stated in An Introduction to Cinephilia, auteurisim a cinematic practice set up due to the prominence
of the film director emerges from passionate attendance and critiques on films in Cahiers du Cin?ma,
and further aims to cultivate cinematic literacy among the audience (Valck and Hagener, 1999). Thus,
auteurist concerns can be summarised as appealing to the articulation and reception of filmmakers?
self reflexivity. David Bordwell has indicated in his analysis on European art cinema that the stress of
authorship covers the distinct style of art cinema practices (Bordwell, 1979). In his essay,
representative art films are introduced as models conveying authorial marks, among which are Day for
Night (La Nuit Am?ricaine, Truffaut, 1973) and 8 ? (Fellini, 1963). In order to demonstrate this, I will
take in this chapter these two films together with Tout Va Bien (Godard and Gorin, 1972) as
illustration. Determined by Bordwell as adversary to art cinema, the third reflexive work balances the
discussion on the projection of auteurism in meta cinema as an interrogating approach. All examples
reflect the process of filmmaking and embody or question the auteurist concerns on directors?
individuality and the uniqueness of cinema as an art. These concerns have been stated in film critiques
and have embraced post war European cinema. First coined by Fran?ois Truffaut as

The Death Of Medical Complications
As if addiction and an overdose death are not bad enough, there are many other dangers stemming
from the abuse of opioids. BODILY DAMAGE FROM AN OVERDOSE Death is only one of the
possible outcomes of an overdose. Low oxygen levels from respiratory depression can lead to a stroke,
brain death, heart attack, and damage to other organs (such as the pancreas, liver and kidneys). These
complications are common, under appreciated, and under reported by news media. Medical
complications can be catastrophic: A stroke can lead to brain death that ultimately leads to physical
death. A stroke, when not fatal, can impair any of the five senses, such as the ability to smell, taste,
see, and speak. Even the person s ability to move can be impaired because the brain controls the
movement of our muscles. A heart attack is also possible. Like the brain, the heart requires a regular
supply of oxygen to function properly. Interrupting the oxygen supply can lead to a heart attack, even
in younger individuals with healthy hearts. A heart attack can be deadly or lead to permanent damage
to the muscles or the valves of the heart, typically resulting in congestive heart failure and possibly the
need for a heart transplant (http://wb.md/1ITcAc2). Inadequate supply of oxygen to other organs such
as the kidneys, liver, and pancreas can also lead to permanent damage to those organs. PHYSICAL

Examples Of Lighting In Oedipus
The lighting in the film stood out to me as interesting. The first time I saw the film I did not think
much about it, but after seeing it a few times I have made the connection between the lighting and the
revelation of corruption in the film. Jake is a naïve character and that is an odd characteristic for a
private investigator and former police officer to have. The film lighting begins as being harsh and
bright. This is before any corruption is revealed in the story. The scenes slowly begin to darken as we
are exposed to more of the corruption that is occurring. The scene where the change in lighting stands
out the most to me is when Jake learns about the relationship between Noah, Evelyn, and Katherine.
We know that Noah is corrupt in terms of the water ownership and land grabs, but he is also corrupt in
his relationship with his daughter. Noah is a true villain and this scene proves it. Another scene where
this is evident is when Jake confronts Noah and Noah says, most people never have to face the fact
that ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Oedipus married his mother and was warned of his future fate, but does not want to accept it. He
realizes he has been blind to the truth for a long time and physically blinds himself. I related this to
both Dunaway and Nicholson s characters. Jake is blind to the corruption surrounding him for a large
part of the film. This blindness is another indication that he is not the typical film noir detective. He is
too involved in what he is investigating. I will go as far as to say that his love for Evelyn blinds him

the film, Jack notices that she has a defect in one of her eyes. This is a more literal example of vision
than the one surrounding Jake. The cause of her death was also based on this idea because she dies
because of a gunshot wound that exits her left

Sensors Allocation Fault
Introduction
Background
A wireless sensor network (WSN) consists of distributed sensors to monitor environmental conditions
such as temperature, sound, vibration, pressure, motion or detect dimensions, to pass their data
through the network to a base station for processing. Advantages of WSN over a wired system
considered in elimination of wiring cost, sensors can be installed in harsh environments. Each sensor
node is a combination of Radio transceiver with an internal antenna or connection to an external
antenna micro controller, electronic circuit for interfacing with the sensors, energy source, usually a
battery or an embedded form of energy harvesting. Drawback of using sensors is having limited power
to consume, a memory that is ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
However, this solution is not optimal neither it is minimal. To provide a better solution a collaboration
of different parameter sensors is used to both minimize and optimize sensor usage.
Figure 2 describes a 3 axis graph of the boxes, the x axis is dimension, the y axis is the color and the z
axis is the weight. Figure 2a, 2b and 2c maps objects by the x y, y z and x z respectively. There 11
different possible sensor positions using the 3 parameters shown in a light grey dashed line on figure 2
graphs. Using the code described in section 3, the solution set resulted in using a total of 3 sensors (d3,
w1, c2) shown on a solid line in figure 2 graphs. This subset of sensors happens to be both the optimal
and minimal solution.
Proposed solution:
The following section describes the code developed to find an optimal sensor solution. The first step is
to consider the cost of each sensor used. The minimal sensor subset is the set with the lowest cost. The
equation [1] describes the cost of the sensor, which simply is the summation of each of the used
sensors. As described previously, most sensors used in this technique are simple and there is no
significant difference in their cost. Thereby since sensors of different parameter are of the same cost, it
is more effective to consider the

The fact that the earth s atmosphere is constantly eroding is not a secret. Human consumption is the
main culprit. It is paramount that the occupants of this planet develop an in depth plan to halt the
destruction of and reconstruct the atmosphere. Environmental politics has become a major feature of
the nation s political landscape during the past several decades. (Hays,1) The purpose of this paper is
to explore environmental politics from its creation, to the Al Gore years, and evaluate legislation at the
national to state level, thus affecting local efforts. Discussion United States Environmental Protection

The Expectations On Personality Types
Introduction
Expectations on Personality types a strategic view of relationships at work
1 List your gap and why it is important to theory and practice, unaddressed, and advancing (see Grant
Pollock, 2011)
o GAP
Previous research has not yet investigated how different personality types may have different
expectations towards leaders within the workplace. Neither Expectancy theory, Leader Member
Exchange Theory or Metaperceptions have addressed which expectations followers might have
towards leader s personality types. Thus, how differences between followers expectations and leaders
actual personality traits affect job performance is the gap considered by the present work. A better
understanding of these interactions
o IMPORTANT TO THEORY AND PRACTICE
Matta, Scott, Koopman, and Conlon (2015), argue that employee work engagement was higher when
leaders and subordinates agree about the quality of their relationship. Leaders who acknowledge what
are expected from them regarding their way of leading may help them to tailor a more efficient
leadership model and consequently improve performance. Also, Lopez (2013a), suggests that there is
a significant relationship between personality features and leadership style. Moreover, academic work
has highlighted the positive impact of Transformational leadership on organizational performance.

The Myer-Briggs Type Indicator
It would be so convenient if we could just see into the brain of every person on earth, and look
through similarities in how they think. With a deeper understanding of ourselves and others, and how
our thoughts and personalities are different, working together would (hopefully) be easier.
Unfortunately, humans cannot do that. But it hasn t stopped us from attempting something similar.
Developed in the 1940 s and 1950 s, the Myers Briggs Type Indicator has been tested hundreds upon
hundreds of times, with accurate results. Research is ongoing, and millions of people have taken the
instrument since it s conception. The Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) is composed of four parts,
each one with two options, making it a total of 16 types. Further explanation for the parts of the
instrument can be found below. The first section concerns which of your worlds you prefer. Not world
as in Would you rather live on Mars or Neptune? , but your inner or outer worlds. Those who have a
preference for the outer world of people and things are grouped in the Extraversion category, represent
by an E. People in this group are outgoing, have lots of friends, and are comfortable in groups.
Introversion (I) prefers their inner world of ideas and images. That means they like working alone or
in (very) small groups, and are considered reflective and reserved. It is important to note that everyone
spends time in both worlds, and this only represents their favorite one. Spending time doing both

Sexual Relations Between A Person And An Animal
Bestiality is defined as sexual relations between a person and an animal; : sodomy.
Having sex with animals was originally linked to people living in rural areas where they were around
livestock, and there may have been fewer women. In today s world it has become something else, and
that is, people who actually prefer to have sex with animals over human beings. It has been reported
that Bestiality involves roughly 8 percent of men, and 4 percent of women .
In 1948, Wardell Pomeroy and Clyde Martin, Sexual Behavior in the Human Male (W. B. Saunders)
wrote that 50% of the population of America mostly young male farmers, claimed to have had sexual
contact with various species of animals (Saunders, Year ). Today people actually have ... Show more

Bestiality is about human and animal, are the animals victimless . There is no certain age or
population that this addiction serves more of than the other. These are some of the different
demographic categories of zoophiles found through websites: white, black, Asian, Mormon, Amish,
Catholic, atheist, pagan, Jewish, male, and female, and those who are legally blind . Zoophile s say
this is not a fetish, it is the life style of one who has a loving, and a sexual fondness for animals. Those
who engage in sexual intercourse with animals practice what is called beast sex, which is a fondness
towards animals in an intimate and loving way (love and sexual attraction to animals ). Bestiality was
first introduced into the field of human sexuality research in 1886 . Since the 1990 s bestiality has
been considered an alternative sexual orientation, (cited by Miletski, 1999). The population of
bestiality compare themselves to the GLBT LBGTQ population, because they feel they are subject to
the same retributions as homosexuality. They feel they have the right to their own sexual orientation,
and hope to find an open minded ally in the gay rights movement to support that, and become part of
the bestiality rights movement .

Forced Sterilization On Women During The United States
Forced sterilization on women
In the United States, 15 states have laws that fail to protect women with disabilities from involuntary
sterilization (Against her will). Sterilization of disabled women in the United States should not be
allowed. It denies disabled women the rights of having children. It is sexist to force women to get
sterilized but men do not have to get sterilized. Women should have the right to have children, no
matter if they have a disability or if something is wrong with her. The United States has used forced
sterilization along with other countries in North and South America, along with places such as Asia

Themes Of Shrek
Vincent Garcia

English 101
7 November 2017 Shrek The movie Shrek is a fairytale that you can watch with family. It s a movie
that not only entertains, but it also teaches valuable lessons. Shrek puts the viewers in awe and gets
them excited, so this movie is definitely worth watching! One of the main themes in this movie is the
acceptance of people for who they truly are. In this movie we witness a lot of prejudice, or just
assumptions. People assume that because someone looks a certain way that they are dangerous.
Appearances are deceiving, and this movie shows us exactly that. To begin, you should all know that
Shrek is not your normal fairytale. This movie brings in different characters with different abilities and
characteristics. For example, the main character is Shrek , an ogre who is feared and seen as a threat
by the entire village where he lives. Donkey is a friendly donkey that has the ability to speak. Fiona is
a princess who has been put in a castle with a dragon and whose only way out is to be saved by a
prince. The first setting of the movie is Shrek s swamp and it starts with a riot of people from the
village coming angrily to Shrek s swamp angrily with torches and pitchforks. They are trying to
invade his swamp so they get as many people as they can to join the riot but their plan does not work
out. Shrek ends up scaring everyone and the people leave him alone for good because they know that
they can t take over his swamp or defeat him. Then, he sees a flyer announcing that fairytale creatures
are wanted, but he disregards the flyer; this will later have him astonished. The next setting is a nearby
forest where an auction is being held. The things being sold are the fairytale creatures; this is where
we are introduced to Donkey. As the auction takes place, Donkey is supposed to be sold because he
has the amazing ability of talking just like humans. He does not want to be sold or used for
entertainment. Therefore, when it is his turn to be sold, he is asked to talk but he doesn t. Lucky for
him Tinker Bell was nearby and some of her pixie dust fell on Donkey and he was able to fly for a
while. He made fun of the guy

A Case Of A Horrific Disaster
In case of a horrific disaster you re always supposed to have a plan of action, and in case it doesn t
work you re in need of a backup plan. For example, pretend as if a zombie apocalypse has occurred
and we are playing the role of the policemen and firemen in the community that has just been attacked
by the infected. Our job is to ensure that the women, men, and children are safe. However in order to
protect the city we need to evacuate the people, communicate to the survivors we were left behind,
find a means of transporting the citizens to safe locations, and shelter the ones who no longer have a
home or a safe place to live temporarily.
Our first step is to evacuate the citizens before they are attacked by the infected, but we must ... Show

We will visit as many houses, facilities, and many other buildings to locate everyone. The police
department will be in charge of making sure everyone exits the building safely, to check people for
infection, and to direct the non effected to the nearest escape route. Before we leave we will instruct
the citizens to pack lightly with essentials such as food, bottled water, and first aid kits. Also, we want
to take the highest safety precautions when dealing with infected because we do not want any other to
become infected so masks will be handed out for airborne diseases.
To continue the evacuation process the police department will direct and lead the citizens that will
travel on foot. With traveling on foot heavy firearms will be handled by the police in order to protect
the citizens in case of an attack. With the firearms, some of the first aid kits and food rations will
travel with those on foot in order to prevent as many stops or delays in time. To travel as quickly,
effectively, and no casualties is the main goal. A scouting party will be above in a helicopter to see any
infected that might have slipped our previous scouting.
Along with the police department, the fire department will transport anyone with special needs,
disabilities, and basically anyone who cannot walk distances to the safe locations. In transporting
these citizens: cars, buses, RVs, ATVs, and any other type of mobile

Drug Smoking And Drug Trafficking In The World
If I have another day like I did today, I m going to scream until they take me away to the funny farm
and feed me meds twenty four seven.
For ten years I ve stuffed circuit boards at the High Cats International Corporation and at noon, a
thousand federal agents, which included, the FBI, ICE, Homeland Security, and local police, raided
the place and arrested the owner of High Cats and fifty high ranking employees. According to what I
overheard the Federal agents had confiscated 800 pounds of cocaine, 400 ounces of meth, 200 ounces
of heroin, 9, 00 ounces of marijuana and a shit load of prescription pills. As well as, 560 high powered
rifles and over 600 thousand dollars, stuffed in paper bags. How was I to know that drug trafficking
and weapons smuggling were taking place, right under my nose? Needless to say, the Feds padlocked
the front door and now I m jobless
When I arrived home, I found a note from my wife informing me, she had cleaned out both the saving
and checking accounts, and ran off with a travelling salesman, twenty minutes later the bank
foreclosed on the house and right after that the repo man drove away in my truck. With no money in
my wallet, I packed a duffle bag and found a park bench down by the river and spent the night.
Sometime around sunrise I felt a tug on my foot. When I opened my eyes there stood a man about the
age of my great grandfather, who resemble Gandalf the Gray or maybe Albus Dumbledore, but not as
elegant. Thou his white hair hung down to his waist, it lacked luster, his cloak appeared tattered and
his walking stick was nothing more than a broken branch from a nearby tree.
As I jumped to my feet he says, with an air of sincerity and a hint of genteelness, Dear sir, I apologize
for startling you, but would it be an inconvenience upon you, if we share this park bench for it s the
only one that offers a hint of shade.
He had an air about him that lighten my heart, so I say, Yes, please, of course, by all means, sit Thank
you, he graciously countered as he sat down, leaned back and slightly sighs.
I sit down and offer him a firm handshake, a heartfelt smile, and say, Good morning, sir, I m Fred

Day after day, late students are punished or end up in detention due to short passing periods. Having
short passing periods can make a student s grade go down or worse when students are late to class.
This can be prevented by extending passing periods to 10 minutes. Although the staff at H.P.M.S may
disapprove, but in the long run, they will see the effects of having longer passing periods has on
students. Because of the short time of passing periods, students at Happy Place Middle School are
petitioning to extend their passing period time to 10 minutes. In short, some of the positive effects are
that students can get to class on time, and gives students and teachers time to prepare.
In addition to that, when the passing period time is ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
And also, the traffic in the halls often crawls at the SPEED OF MOLASSES. Simply to say, it can
make you very late for class. Students also go to their class missing their books because they don t
have time to go to the locker to get their materials. This makes it worse for students because they are
unable to do work (Abdelmalek).
Furthermore into the topic, the 10 minute passing period lets and/or helps teachers prepare for their
next period. A longer passing period would prevent students from asking to go use the bathroom, get a
drink, or be late, so teacher(s) have the student s full concentration, If your student doesn t have to
interrupt you to use the restroom or get some water, it is going to be a better learning environment for
the rest of the students. Without these interruptions you may continue your lesson and have student s
full concentration, instead of worrying about their personal needs (Medina). And also in addition to
that, teachers will have more time to prepare for their next class compared to 5 minutes, so teachers
can get coffee or take a break during the passing period. Therefore, passing periods should be
extended to 10 minutes since there are upsides and very few downsides, the upsides: Have more time
to get to their classes, students can be spared from the worst

Mere Christianity Book Review
Mere Christianity, if you are looking to read a christian book and trying to get closer in your walk with
the Lord, is a great book to do so. It helps people go through life and see how they should react and
live accordingly to Him. Mere Christianity laid a foundation with me and how I should walk with
Christ. I am a Christian, but this book made me not only grow in my beliefs, but in my view of life
and how we should all live it. If you are looking for an answer, C.S. Lewis is one of the best authors to

The Importance Of Architecture In The 19th Century
The 19th century began with the United Kingdom in the throes of an industrial revolution, a
prosperous time for factory and mill owners, yet the working class lived in substandard conditions.
England being ruled by George IV, Britain s Most Useless Monarch , a man who was known for his
frivolous, dissolute lifestyle. With increasing social inequality and an unsupportive government, there
was civil unrest in the nation.
David Watkin, in his Book Morality and Architecture (1977), maintains that some architecture is being
formed from the social, moral, and philosophical beliefs of a period. For Augustus Welby Northmore
Pugin, he saw Regency and Georgian architecture as an abomination. This was a period of great civil
unrest and inequality. The French Revolution had occurred not long ago (1789 1799) and with a
government that represented corruption and disparity, this seemed like a reasonable step forward. In
Pugin s first book, Contrasts (1836) he argues that the state of the society and its immorality was
reflected in the architectural style adopted. The book states that compared to Georgian architecture,
Medieval Gothic architecture is morally superior. This is perhaps the first time that an architect has
claimed a style of architecture is more moral than another. The stucco fronted facades of the buildings
and the decorative columns were dishonest to Pugin and therefore immoral in the eyes of God.
Speaking about Medieval Cathedrals, Pugin says, It was, indeed,

The Problem Of Drugs And Drugs

I m Not Addicted, Says Every Addict Drugs are substances that can alter a person s physical or mental

hallucinations, and most importantly, relieve stress. There are prescription drugs that are used by
people with medical conditions, but there are also others who abuse illegal drugs or prescription drugs
despite the health problems that come with it. Addicts constantly deny their addiction and claim that
they can stop whenever they choose, and others will even tell themselves that it is necessary to take

Based on this information gathered, it is easily identifiable that drugs are exposed to everyone
including young Americans and not only adults. Drugs are introduced to people of all ages for several
reasons, with media being the major source. Although the advertisement of tobacco in American
television and radio is now banned, there are still countless amount of advertisements for alcohol and
pain relieving drugs today. Even if illegal drugs such as marijuana and cocaine are not advertised,
many television shows and movies have multiple scenes that show the characters abusing drugs and
enjoying its effects. People are more susceptible to taking drugs because of the constant exposure to
media portraying that drugs and alcohol are enjoyable and will relieve stress from the problems that
they might have. In the book A Streetcar Named Desire, alcohol was consumed as a way to forget
about reality and escape. Blanche DuBois, a main character of this novel, constantly drank alcohol
because she believed that it temporarily solved her problems whenever she felt stressed or depressed.
Blanche drank frequently even though during that time, the 1940s, it was looked down upon for
women to drink alcohol habitually. Now don t get worried, your sister hasn t turned into a drunkard,

  • 3. James Agee and Walker Evans Essay James Agee and Walker Evans Fortune Magazine, in July and August of 1936, sent James Agee and Walker Evans to research a story on sharecropping. In the preface of Let Us Now Praise Famous Men, Agee describes it as a curious piece of work. They were to produce an article on cotton tenantry in the United States, in the form of a photographic and verbal record of the daily living and environment of an average white family of tenant farmers, (IX). James Agee and Walker Evans set out to write and photograph an article for a magazine, and ended up experimenting with the form of the novel itself. James Agee was born in 1909 in Knoxville, Tennessee, but was in the urban middle class, so he had no experience with cotton farming. When ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Agee and Evans set out to publish an article in Fortune Magazine, but when they brought back their work to the editors, they were rebuked. The article was over 400 pages of controversial writing and even various book editors refused to publish it as a novel. Finally in 1941 it was published by Mifflin in Massachusetts after the author was forced to take out a few outlawed words in the state. They failed in their original mission to produce an article, but undoubtedly presented a photographic and verbal record of the average white southern tenant farmer families. By living with three different families for four weeks, Evans depicted their innermost sorrows through his photographs, and Agee portrayed and emboldened their spirit by his written words. The novel itself was an experiment in form, with Evans photos all placed in the front without captions, rather than dispersed throughout the novel. Even in the text, Agee continually stops himself mid description and enters into a stream of consciousness describing the difficulties of articulating accurately the tenant families true expressions. For these reasons, it was considered a failure when it was published, but also for the same reasons it was considered an amazing success twenty years later in the 1960s. In the Preface, Agee conveys that this is a book only by necessity. More seriously, it is an effort in human actuality, in which the reader is no less centrally involved than the ... • 4. Adam Eve Lost in Paradise Paradise Lost by John Milton: Discuss the relationship between Adam and Eve, as portrayed in Book 9 of Paradise Lost. How does Milton s portrayal compare to or differ from how Adam and Eve are typically portrayed, described, or understood? Thoughts of Eve conjure images of a meek woman who is submissive and created to serve her husband. Adam is thought of as a strong, beautiful man created in the likeness of God. He is the ruler of land and sea and leader of all mankind. Their relationship is thought of as idyllic and unified, even throughout and after their fall. However, Milton casts a different light on their relationship and personal traits in Book 9 of Paradise Lost. Adam s submissive helpmate becomes an independent, contrary, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Therefore, his love for her leads him to eat the fruit because if she is to die then he chooses to die with her because as he says in line 959 to lose thee were to lose myself (2111). Now that they both have sinned, the relationship becomes one of contention, contrary to the traditional image. Sexually it is lustful and depraved lacking the love and intimacy they once shared. Adam is no longer mild towards Eve, but accusatory and blaming even speaking harshly too her which is opposite of how he treated her before the apple. She in turn retaliates against him and tries to blame him for not being stronger. She even accuses of him of not being able to withstand the temptation if it had been him. Sadly, what becomes of their relationship is a blame game that is fruitless and controlled by pride with neither taking responsibility for their actions (2116). In the end of this book, Milton inserts an interesting point about the male/female relationship that easily could be overlooked. He switches from Adam making a point about Eve, to generalizing all women of which Eve is the representative. Adam talks of Eve s confidence and perfection and how much he admired her, but realizes that is where he went wrong calling it his crime (2116). Then he makes the shift towards women, which is craftily done by Milton, almost like a forewarning to men to beware of the power of women in the following: Thus it shall befall Him who to ... • 5. Strategic Interventions To Improve Parent And Child... Overall, the lack of parental involvement due to a low economic status reduces high expectations for children due to the lack of financial and relationship stability. According to Osborne and Ankrum (2015), low income families reduce material hardship significantly by creating parental stress, alter positive parenting, decreasing parental involvement, which lower cognitive ability and social skills. In addition, financial support from parents is needed to provide the highest level for cognitive development and social skills. The lack of financial support decreases parental involvement in the child s development, such as shared activities, helping and guiding homework sessions. In conclusion, the more time a parent invests in their children rather than being at work, increases their child s academic success, reduce levels of delinquency, and promote social and emotional well being (Osborne Ankrum, 2015). Strategic Interventions to Improve Parent and Child Relationships Family System Model Lewis (1986) explained that there is a trend setting in single parenting and families are becoming a norm in American culture, therefore, there should be an increase on education on strategic interventions with child children who fit the criteria. School related problems can ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... An early study was conducted to determine the impact of negative stress and emotional reaction due to the absence of a parent. Their children can be emotionally demanding with their needs and parents can lack the support to aid them. Bratton and Landreth (1995) found that the strength of the parent child relationship determines the child s well being. That is to say that the problems that emerge for single parents can increase behavioral issues, such as anxiety and depression. Filial Therapy provides parents with parenting skills to guide the child when they feel vulnerable, overwhelmed, and emotionally unavailable. • 6. Evolution Is A Highly Argumentative Topic, Today s Society Payne 1 Jared Payne English 11 Mrs. Brown 5 December 2014 Pro evolution: Why? Creation versus evolution is a highly argumentative topic, especially in today s society. A recent debate, between Bill Nye The Science Guy and Ken Ham, has sparked even more controversy over this particular topic. A poll administered by Gallup shows that forty six percent of Americans believe God created humans as they are now ten thousand years ago, and that the only reliable dating system is the Word of God (Lovan 1). Many others believe that humans have evolved into how they are in present times, and that science, and its ways of dating things, is reliable and correct. Evolution wins over creationism because Bill Nye won the debate with Ken Ham, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Some say that Nye won, not only with his facts, but with his style (Chowdhury 2). Because Bill Nye is representing evolutionists, Payne 2 and he beat Ham, who is representing creationists, this is one of few signs that signify that evolution beats creation. Another way that evolution wins over creation is that creationist views threaten the science of the United States. With almost half of the United States in favor of creation, this could pose a potential threat to US science. Innovation is in jeopardy if everything known about nature and the universe is forgotten by ancient text translated into English. The Earth is not 6,000 or 10,000 years old, Nye said in an interview with The Associated Press, citing scientists estimates that it is about 4.5 billion years old. It s not. And if that conflicts with your beliefs, I strongly feel you should question your beliefs. [Nye also emphasized that] If we raise a generation of students who don t believe in the process of science . . . you re not going to continue to innovate Bible stories are presented as an alternative to evolution in some states, as approved by lawmakers and school boards. • 7. Understanding The Real Life Events During The Oardwalk Empire oardwalk Empire, the show that demonstrates the real life events that occurred during the early 1920s in Atlantic City, New Jersey, represents several intercultural communication concepts. This historically based drama series provided through HBO was chosen because of its wide variety of themes, conflicts, and plots driven through certain means of communication and interactions among the characters. Riverview Medical Center ( Rrmc ) OVERVIEW In 2004, Riverview Medical Center (RRMC), originally called The Holy Name of Jesus Hospital, was acquired and revamped by the Hospital Management Associates (HMA) and has become a state of art facility with improved efficiencies to ensure high quality care. RRMC is a 281 licensed bed acute care facility accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations, certified for participation in the Medicare Program, and contracted/participated in Blue Cross Plans (Richards Slovensky, 2004). The facility is one of the primary employers in the area and provides job opportunities to approximately 700 individuals (Richards Slovensky, 2004). RRMC encountered significant challenges against their competitors, Mountain View, Gadsden Regional and HealthSouth. A major challenge was the fact that they were not the sole or primary healthcare provider in the market service area. Secondly, many of RRMC s key medical staff members and group practices were not in a central location within the vicinity of the hospital. Thirdly, RRMC s emergency department was in great need of renovation and they lacked in the variety of clinical programs they offered in terms of cancer treatment, neurosurgery, psychiatry, obstetrics, rehabilitation and surgical outpatient care. Young COMM105 Gayla Nelson March 13, 2006 Reckless Driving in My Neighborhood Our neighborhood is a place where we should be comfortable letting our children play, without having to worry about them getting hit by a reckless driver. If our children are in their on yard, there is still a chance for a speedy driver to loose control and hit one of them. On the street that I live on there is a great deal of children, of all ages, that ride bikes and play basketball. I know that there are not enough police officers to patrol every area all the time, but maybe they could just go through our neighborhood enough that people can see that the area is being patrolled and then maybe the traffic would be calmer. If the neighbors are worried about traffic control and the safety of their family, having knowledge on what we might can do, will create communication between neighbors. The city is developing a traffic calming program, which will help establish guidelines and criteria for speed humps or other traffic calming devices (City of Tulsa, 2005). In his book My Fathers Prostitute , he talks about his life, starting out when his father first abused him to more recent times in adulthood to where he finally sought help and started to move on in his life started to live the life he should and deserves. This book really opened my eyes on what all goes on in this world that I would have never guessed. Every eight minutes, a child is sexually assaulted in the U.S., and 93% know the perpetrator ( Adult Survivors of Childhood ). To me this statistic seems insane and I cannot ever imagine being sexually assaulted by anyone let alone one of my parents that I am supposed to trust and love. When you really think about it, that how every eight minutes a child is getting sexually assaulted it is astonishing. It makes me wonder how many people I know that I have been sexually assaulted but don t tell anyone. I assume there are many different cases of sexual assault and how there are different levels of how traumatic they are to the individual someone came upon. With some people, the sexual assault only happened once, and with others like the author of My Fathers Prostitute it happens during their entire childhood to impact the individual even more. • 12. Pros And Cons Of Uncorroborated Evidence Firstly, uncorroborated evidence reduces the rate of perpetrators escaping from conviction. It is pertinent to note that in most of the sexual assault cases where the child is the victim, there is often little or no physical evidence. The child and the accused are likely to be the only witnesses. Due to the requirement of corroborated evidence, where in fact, there is none, it had undoubtedly led to many perpetrators escaping conviction as the alleged victim, the child s evidence is not corroborated and there was nothing else to prove guilt beyond reasonable doubt. With the newly implemented section where there is no requirement of corroborated evidence, the judge has the opportunity to consider the child s uncorroborated evidence and able to access the weight to be accorded to such evidence in the particular case. The weight is to be attached to the evidence or testimony of the child and is to be assessed by the trier of fact but not the rigid requirement of corroborated evidence. There are executives that believe that the first mover is a great advantage that will make their business succeed in every industry that they enter, the case is that there are many scientific refutals of this method because not every firm has the same sources as others, and the market and technology change differently, plus we must include other different factors. The research in this article found situations in which companies are successful with the first mover method, but also found situations where firms need different sources and sometimes are unsuccessful. In the article, we found two factors that influence greatly the first mover s success, this factors are: The pace at which the technology of the product is evolving The pace at which the market for the product is expanding By, knowing this factors we can create a strategy in competing in the market depending on these factors, after doing this we could distinguish between the long term advantage which can increase a companies profits and grab a greater market share than competitors, or a short time which is not the greatest, but can give ... • 18. The Independence Of Meta Cinema And Authorship Chapter 2 This chapter will examine the independence of meta cinema and authorship. As Valck and Hagener stated in An Introduction to Cinephilia, auteurisim a cinematic practice set up due to the prominence of the film director emerges from passionate attendance and critiques on films in Cahiers du Cin?ma, and further aims to cultivate cinematic literacy among the audience (Valck and Hagener, 1999). Thus, auteurist concerns can be summarised as appealing to the articulation and reception of filmmakers? self reflexivity. David Bordwell has indicated in his analysis on European art cinema that the stress of authorship covers the distinct style of art cinema practices (Bordwell, 1979). In his essay, representative art films are introduced as models conveying authorial marks, among which are Day for Night (La Nuit Am?ricaine, Truffaut, 1973) and 8 ? (Fellini, 1963). In order to demonstrate this, I will take in this chapter these two films together with Tout Va Bien (Godard and Gorin, 1972) as illustration. Determined by Bordwell as adversary to art cinema, the third reflexive work balances the discussion on the projection of auteurism in meta cinema as an interrogating approach. All examples reflect the process of filmmaking and embody or question the auteurist concerns on directors? individuality and the uniqueness of cinema as an art. These concerns have been stated in film critiques and have embraced post war European cinema. First coined by Fran?ois Truffaut as ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 19. The Death Of Medical Complications As if addiction and an overdose death are not bad enough, there are many other dangers stemming from the abuse of opioids. BODILY DAMAGE FROM AN OVERDOSE Death is only one of the possible outcomes of an overdose. Low oxygen levels from respiratory depression can lead to a stroke, brain death, heart attack, and damage to other organs (such as the pancreas, liver and kidneys). These complications are common, under appreciated, and under reported by news media. Medical complications can be catastrophic: A stroke can lead to brain death that ultimately leads to physical death. A stroke, when not fatal, can impair any of the five senses, such as the ability to smell, taste, see, and speak. Even the person s ability to move can be impaired because the brain controls the movement of our muscles. A heart attack is also possible. Like the brain, the heart requires a regular supply of oxygen to function properly. Interrupting the oxygen supply can lead to a heart attack, even in younger individuals with healthy hearts. A heart attack can be deadly or lead to permanent damage to the muscles or the valves of the heart, typically resulting in congestive heart failure and possibly the need for a heart transplant (http://wb.md/1ITcAc2). Inadequate supply of oxygen to other organs such as the kidneys, liver, and pancreas can also lead to permanent damage to those organs. The first time I saw the film I did not think much about it, but after seeing it a few times I have made the connection between the lighting and the revelation of corruption in the film. Jake is a naïve character and that is an odd characteristic for a private investigator and former police officer to have. The film lighting begins as being harsh and bright. This is before any corruption is revealed in the story. The scenes slowly begin to darken as we are exposed to more of the corruption that is occurring. The scene where the change in lighting stands out the most to me is when Jake learns about the relationship between Noah, Evelyn, and Katherine. We know that Noah is corrupt in terms of the water ownership and land grabs, but he is also corrupt in his relationship with his daughter. Noah is a true villain and this scene proves it. Another scene where this is evident is when Jake confronts Noah and Noah says, most people never have to face the fact that ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This blindness is another indication that he is not the typical film noir detective. He is too involved in what he is investigating. I will go as far as to say that his love for Evelyn blinds him and eventually leads to her demise. The character of Evelyn also fits into the motif of vision. With a deeper understanding of ourselves and others, and how our thoughts and personalities are different, working together would (hopefully) be easier. Unfortunately, humans cannot do that. But it hasn t stopped us from attempting something similar. Developed in the 1940 s and 1950 s, the Myers Briggs Type Indicator has been tested hundreds upon hundreds of times, with accurate results. Research is ongoing, and millions of people have taken the instrument since it s conception. The next setting is a nearby forest where an auction is being held. The things being sold are the fairytale creatures; this is where we are introduced to Donkey. As the auction takes place, Donkey is supposed to be sold because he has the amazing ability of talking just like humans. He does not want to be sold or used for entertainment. • 32. A Case Of A Horrific Disaster In case of a horrific disaster you re always supposed to have a plan of action, and in case it doesn t work you re in need of a backup plan. • 33. Drug Smoking And Drug Trafficking In The World If I have another day like I did today, I m going to scream until they take me away to the funny farm and feed me meds twenty four seven. For ten years I ve stuffed circuit boards at the High Cats International Corporation and at noon, a thousand federal agents, which included, the FBI, ICE, Homeland Security, and local police, raided the place and arrested the owner of High Cats and fifty high ranking employees. According to what I overheard the Federal agents had confiscated 800 pounds of cocaine, 400 ounces of meth, 200 ounces of heroin, 9, 00 ounces of marijuana and a shit load of prescription pills. As well as, 560 high powered rifles and over 600 thousand dollars, stuffed in paper bags. How was I to know that drug trafficking and weapons smuggling were taking place, right under my nose? Needless to say, the Feds padlocked the front door and now I m jobless When I arrived home, I found a note from my wife informing me, she had cleaned out both the saving and checking accounts, and ran off with a travelling salesman, twenty minutes later the bank foreclosed on the house and right after that the repo man drove away in my truck. With no money in my wallet, I packed a duffle bag and found a park bench down by the river and spent the night. Sometime around sunrise I felt a tug on my foot. When I opened my eyes there stood a man about the age of my great grandfather, who resemble Gandalf the Gray or maybe Albus Dumbledore, but not as elegant. Thou his white hair hung down to his waist, it lacked luster, his cloak appeared tattered and his walking stick was nothing more than a broken branch from a nearby tree. As I jumped to my feet he says, with an air of sincerity and a hint of genteelness, Dear sir, I apologize for startling you, but would it be an inconvenience upon you, if we share this park bench for it s the only one that offers a hint of shade. He had an air about him that lighten my heart, so I say, Yes, please, of course, by all means, sit Thank you, he graciously countered as he sat down, leaned back and slightly sighs. I sit down and offer him a firm handshake, a heartfelt smile, and say, Good morning, sir, I m Fred Johnson, It is an honor to meet you, Fred Johnson, he said ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Having short passing periods can make a student s grade go down or worse when students are late to class. This can be prevented by extending passing periods to 10 minutes. Although the staff at H.P.M.S may disapprove, but in the long run, they will see the effects of having longer passing periods has on students. Because of the short time of passing periods, students at Happy Place Middle School are petitioning to extend their passing period time to 10 minutes. Students also go to their class missing their books because they don t have time to go to the locker to get their materials. This makes it worse for students because they are unable to do work (Abdelmalek). Furthermore into the topic, the 10 minute passing period lets and/or helps teachers prepare for their next period. A longer passing period would prevent students from asking to go use the bathroom, get a drink, or be late, so teacher(s) have the student s full concentration, If your student doesn t have to interrupt you to use the restroom or get some water, it is going to be a better learning environment for the rest of the students. Without these interruptions you may continue your lesson and have student s full concentration, instead of worrying about their personal needs (Medina). And also in addition to that, teachers will have more time to prepare for their next class compared to 5 minutes, so teachers can get coffee or take a break during the passing period. • 36. The Importance Of Architecture In The 19th Century The 19th century began with the United Kingdom in the throes of an industrial revolution, a prosperous time for factory and mill owners, yet the working class lived in substandard conditions. England being ruled by George IV, Britain s Most Useless Monarch , a man who was known for his frivolous, dissolute lifestyle. With increasing social inequality and an unsupportive government, there was civil unrest in the nation. David Watkin, in his Book Morality and Architecture (1977), maintains that some architecture is being formed from the social, moral, and philosophical beliefs of a period. For Augustus Welby Northmore Pugin, he saw Regency and Georgian architecture as an abomination. This was a period of great civil unrest and inequality. The French Revolution had occurred not long ago (1789 1799) and with a government that represented corruption and disparity, this seemed like a reasonable step forward. In Pugin s first book, Contrasts (1836) he argues that the state of the society and its immorality was reflected in the architectural style adopted. The book states that compared to Georgian architecture, Medieval Gothic architecture is morally superior. This is perhaps the first time that an architect has claimed a style of architecture is more moral than another. The stucco fronted facades of the buildings and the decorative columns were dishonest to Pugin and therefore immoral in the eyes of God. Speaking about Medieval Cathedrals, Pugin says, It was, indeed, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
