Of the issues, Dr. Hart discussed I agreed with the idea that crimes and poverty still exist outside of
addiction and the attractive alternatives to drugs can help deter the selection of that pathway.
Personally, I agree that crime and poverty aren t a consequence of drug use rather a precursor to the

Hart about was decriminalizing all drugs. I think that by doing this we would have a bigger issue
on our hands than we do now. I fully understand where his thought process is but I feel a better
way to handle it would be to re evaluate our current laws. I don t think it would be helpful to say

Before watching this TED talk, I had no clue that the one hit and you re hooked phrase came from

This is model and a simplified version of Kattwyk Bridge and has been made under the constraints
of space, time and resources available in the lab. The Bridge mechanism has been divided in three
sections. The central section lifts above, while the two side parts remain intact with the supporting
angles. The lift mechanism used for the bridge is based on the pulley system involving three pulleys.
A string is passed through the two pulleys on either side of middle section and the pulley at the
centre synchronizes the motion of two pulleys and makes the motion centralized.
The angles are used to restrict the motion of central section allowing only the motion in vertical
direction to occur and provide the stability to the bridge structure. A chain is also used to stop the
central section at any desired height depending on the height of ship assuming a real case situation

Kong to Britain. On the other hand, the American imperialism wanted to expand westward in hopes
of finding more resources and land in order to increase its economic benefits. The Monroe Doctrine
is a U.S. policy that defended US against other empires. ( Tusan, Lec, October 18). It says that U.S.
would expand into uncolonized areas in the west and Europeans should have no business in what
United States does. After the Spanish American War, the American government realized that there
are countries that can serve as their colonies during the times of their global expansion. Therefore,
they took investment opportunities in different countries. Some of these colonies they have
conquered from Spain included Puerto Rico, Guam, Cuba, and Philippines. They had a notion that
imperialism would bring them the cheapest labor force from the colonized territories that can help
them manufacture at reduced costs. Aside from getting low cost of labors, they also get the
cheapest raw materials, which can be used, in manufacturing the country s products. The American
imperialism believes that colonies of weaker nations need to help the stronger nations in order to
