TOPIC The Holidays
L.STANDARD
3.1.1 Able to write in neat legible print with correct spelling
a) phrases
OBJECTIVE
(N.R) By the end of the lesson, pupils will be able to fill in 4/4
blanks in the postcard correctly.
ACTIVITIES
1) Teacher brings a big postcard to the class.
2) Teacher shows the content of the postcard to the pupils.
3) Pupils are taught about places in Penang and activities that
can be done in each place.
4) For more clear understanding, pictures of each place are
pasted on the whiteboard.
5) Next, teacher pastes a big ‘Word Search’ on the whiteboard.
6) Teacher gives a simple demonstration on how to do the
activity.
7) A few pupils are called randomly to find the hidden words in
the Word Search.
8) Worksheets are distributed to each pupil in this stage. Pupils
find the hidden words correctly.
9) Teacher divides pupils into few groups. Each group is given a
picture and a mahjong paper with outline of postcard.
10) Teacher demonstrates and pupils complete their postcard by
filling in the blanks correctly.
11) Answers are checked.
12) Pupils say the names of the places loudly to summarize the
lesson.
