2. Inspiration For the Design of my Film
Poster came from my 3 Case Studies
Case Study No1: Tyler Perry’s Temptations: Confessions
of a Marriage Counsellor
•
After watching the film I found that the film poster was
uniquely designed as it uses a colour system of: Red, Black
and White. Which replicate the emotions present in the film
itself.
•
I also Like the way in which a snake makes a face as well as
an apple. It’s as if the poster is telling a story with pictures. – I
plan to replicate this in my own film poster
•
I inferred that there may possible be meanings behind each
colour. For example – Red (could connote Love), Black
(could connote Temptation) and White (could connote
Innocence)
•
This poster includes the following: straplines, film title, release
date, sponsors logo
3. •
Case Study No2: Black Swan
•
This case study inspired me in the same way
that my 1st case study gave me inspiration.
•
The simple design of this poster is once again
simple yet effective.
•
Colour Scheme = Red, Black and White
•
Actors and Actresses are clearly identified on
this poster
•
Unlike my first case study, this poster includes
the following: film title, release actors/
actresses
4. •
Case Study No3:
•
I chose this case study because it included
the same colour scheme as my other 2
case studies, however this poster includes
a brighter red compared to the darker red
which is present in the other film posters I
used.
•
The bright red on this poster could connote
love
•
Unlike my first case study, this poster
includes the following: film title, release
actors/ actresses

9. The Lost City of Atlantis
Font
Line 1: Calibri Light (Size 20)
Line 2: Calibri Bold (Size 16)
The main image for my film
poster will be of a close up of a
face, the audience will only see
eyes, nose and the top half of a
mouth. – the face will be
covered by a carnival mask.
The main detail for this will be
on the eyes which will be have
two contrasting visuals of the
City of Atlantis. Left Eye will
show Atlantis at a time of
piece. Right Eye will show
Atlantis at a time of corruption.
The nose and the mouth will
have no detail as the main
focus of the face is the eyes.
