ARCOMET, which was established on November 2014, is a sister company of ARCHIRODON ,one of the top
marine contractors internationally, who undertakes the construction of ports and harbors, jetties, terminals,
offshore structures, offshore pipelines, intakes and outfalls, dredging and reclamation and generally all types
of marine Infrastructure, oil and gas facilities, power plants, bridges, road and railroads and EKME S.A., one
of the top European companies in oil and gas construction sector of Pressure Vessels, Reactors, Heat
Exchangers , Process Units.
Joining to ARCOMET RMC FZC, my tasks were:
-Design, Construction of ARCOMET’s Fabrication – Modules Yard.
-Tenders preparation, Technical /Commercial negotiations and Selection of Subcontractors and equipment
suppliers of ARCOMET’s installations.
-Selection Recruitment of key Indirect Personnel (QA/QC and HSE Manager).

ARCOMET has under operation a modern Fabrication and Module Yard in an area of 67,000 sq. meters
equipped with PWHT Furnace, Grit Blasting and Painting Rooms, Bunker and two Fabrication Shops.
In parallel ARCOMET, from December 2015 is sub-contractor of ARCHIRODON for Al Dabb’iya Project
(3844- ADCO Al Dabb’iya Surface Facilities – Phase III), for the fabrication of Pipes, Pipes Supports including
Painting, Insulation Works, and Modularization Works (34 Pipe Rack Modules).

Project’s Details:
Project Scope was the construction and installation of a 1.5 km Jetty’s Superstructure and relevant
Topside Facilities (Piping, Mechanical, Fire Fighting System facilities, Equipment installation on the
Jetty, painting and insulation works).
The Jetty Superstructure was consisting of a 1485 long steel trestle and two lateral 200 m and 226
m branch trestles, totally made of 42Nos pre-fabricated and pre-assembled Trestle-modules, all to
be erected finally in situ on concrete pile caps. For piping expansion also other 9 trestles-modules
pre-assembled and erected.
Modules were erected with all piping, supports, cable trays and driving lanes. Except the trestles in
project’s scope was also the erection of all top side facilities on three concrete platforms. T-platform,
platform 1-2 and platform 3-4. Except piping and steel structure works, on platforms we erected-
installed Access Gangways, Catwalks, Loading Arms, Pumps.
The weights of Jetty were 3,700 tons of Steel Structure, 2,800 tons of piping (77.000 dia inches),
300 tons of pipe supports.
Trestles sizes were maximum 45 meters length, 5 meters width and 5 meters height. Weight of
trestles were from 90 to 150 tons.
Fabrication and Erection works duration was 18 months (from May 2013 up to October 2014).

The total weight of Piping was 2,670 tons. Out of the 2670 tons of piping, 2,390 tons were CS, 80
tons SS 316 and 200 tons alloy P5.
In terms of dia inches, the total number of welded dia inches were 355,000.
