An experiment was conducted to measure angular dimensions using angular gauges. Various angles of alloy steel strips with cross-sections of 30mm by 10mm were measured. The angular gauges were precisely cut to accurate angles and carefully finished on the measuring faces. Five sets of angles were measured, with the exact lengths and any zero or verification errors recorded. Angular gauges allow for quick and easy angle measurement and compensate for wheel wear over time.

Objective:
To develop the Angular dimensions with the help of angular gauges.

Procedure:
Angular gauges for a different angle of alloy steel having a cross-section of about 30 by 10mm.These
gauges are carefully finished on the measuring faces and cut at an accurate angle clean accurate may be
wringing together .This is accomplished by pressing the two or more strips faces into contact and then
imparting a small twisting motion whilst maintaining contact pressure.

Comments:
1. Bevel is used for measuring and lying out angles.
2. Quick and easy to operate.
3. The only angle gauge that compensate for the current value of wheel.
4. The accuracy of the end and the line standards is affected by temperature change and both are
originally calibrates at 20’.
