1. Target Audience Profile:
The target audience for my school magazine ‘Sixth Form Monthly’ will be school students in
years twelve and thirteen. They will be high achieving individuals who aim to achieve the
best they can in school. When they get in from school they like to revise and catch up on
work set. After this they like to set some time aside for doing something they enjoy, like
watching movies or talking to their friends. At weekends they have a part time job they go
to in order to earn money and have something to put on their CV. With the money they save
they aimto buy a car in order to travel more freely and have a wider variety of jobs they can
apply for. Spending time with friends is very important to them, and although sometimes
they struggle with balancing both free time with school work they usually manage to keep
on top of things. They like to use extra resources which help them with work, and would
find a school magazine useful for this as it would directly apply to the and hopefully help
them with not only their educational needs, but their need for relaxing and having fun on
top of this. In addition to this they would like to find out different jobs and opportunities
which will be available to them beyond sixth form.
Mission Statement:
‘Sixth Form Monthly’ is a magazine aimed at both males and females aged 16-18 years old,
and is to provide students with extra help and guidance in order to help them improve
academically and socially. The information distributed within the magazine aims to help
them with issues they may be facing in order to help them feel more in control and
therefore less stressed. The problems that student’s face will be directly addressed, for
example exam pressure, deadlines, and keeping a balance between work and free time as
this is a common issue among students, so being able to read about I will help them
overcome it. This magazine promises to help readers feel confident and in control and will
prepare them for their life beyond sixth form.
