How does your magazine represent a particular social group?

2. FRONT
COVER
On the front cover of my magazine I have
pictured a 17 year old boy in casual clothes.
This represents the typical age group of
someone that may attend college. At college
there is no uniform to wear so by having Will in
his normal day to day clothes this appeals to
the target audience because it’s what they may
usually wear. When taking the photograph of
Will, I ensured that he was shown to be happy
and smiling which represents what a typical
student is supposed to be like. The magazine
isn’t supposed to appeal to particular groups
but all students in general so by choosing
casual clothes this can appeal to everyone.
3. CONTENTS
PAGE
My contents page shows pictures of both the
Advice Shop and the Café. The students pictured
in the shots are wearing a range of different
clothes. This represents how all students are
different and the diversity of the type of people
there may be. All of the people in the photos are
carrying bags which represents a typical student
because the stereotype of students is to be
carrying a bag full of school work. By having a
photo of lots of different students, it shows the
range of different social groups that a college
includes.
