1. Mission Statement
The aim of this magazine is to provide help and advice for sixth form students aged 16-19
and to help them identify their school. The magazine is called ‘The Sixth Form express’
which is appealing to the eye. The style of the magazine will be quite smart and sophisticated
as this matches the audience’s personality. The goals and values are to try and attract sixth
form students into reading the magazine and for them to find it interesting and useful.
The magazine will be distributed once a fortnight as the audience will be intrigued to find
more news within the magazine. The magazine will be distributed in the sixth form centre
and school office where they will be able to pick up a copy.
Its content will include details about university, How to get a bursary, How to spend your
Saturday nights, sports and extra- curricular activities. It will also include interviews with
teachers, driving tips, fashion and revision success which is what students like to read about
and I hope this magazine will appeal to them.
I promise to deliver a magazine full of fun, interesting tips and top fashion styles. I will meet
the needs of sixth form students for example on how to revise and how to get into university.
The effect that my magazine will have for my target audience will be that as the magazines
come every fortnight, they will become more involved in their school and find the magazine
more entertaining to read as well.
