1. What have you learnt about
technologies from the process of
constructing this product?
EVALUATION ACTIVITY 6
2. The advancement of technology has greatly helped me in
producing my opening sequence for my film. The different
devices, software applications and internet sites I’ve used
during my pre and post production have made my opening
sequence a success. I couldn’t have done it without
these things.

3. EQUIPMENTS
• Included in my kit list during my
shooting are:
• Canon 600D
• It’s my first time to use this kind of camera so I had to
watch tutorial videos on the internet. I’ve learned how to
do a focus pull and which type of effects should I use in
different settings.
• Tripod
• I’ve learned how to do a pan and a tilt by placing the
camera into tripod. This made my shots stable even
when I’m doing tilts and pans with it.
• Lightings (in the school drama
room)
• I’ve only used these during the head scientist office scene
inside the drama room. With the help of my drama
teacher, I have successfully chosen which lightings are
the best during this scene.
4. SOFTWARE APPLICATIONS
• I have used Adobe Audition for the first time to:
• Reduce the noise of my recorded voiceover of my main character.
• And put audio effect presets that made it more interesting to listen
to.
• I have used Adobe Photoshop CS6
experimenting all of its different features
to produce a unique company indent for
my film which will be seen on the very
first part of my opening sequence.

5. • I have used Adobe Premiere Pro CS6
mostly for editing and cutting in raw
footages and putting them together to
create my opening film. It is my second
time using this after my first usage during
my preliminary task.
• I had a really hard time in using premiere
pro because every time I render it, the next
time I open my project, it says that it is not
rendered yet. So I had render it every time
I open my project.
• I learned how to overlap certain clips and
audios and adjust the Audio mixer for each
audio so that all of them synchronise well.
• Moreover, Premiere Pro has a special feature called Dynamic Duo link where the footages placed in my sequences can be
edited straight to After Effects. This helped me reduce the time of creating a new project, rendering, and exporting it in
After Effects. However, the disadvantage is it takes long for Premiere Pro to load all the footages linked to After Effects so
I always had to wait really long whenever I open my Premier Pro film project.
• I have used Adobe After Effects CS6 to create and put on special effects as well as simulations to some
parts of my film. AE is a really broad software app so I had to watch video tutorials on how to use its
basic features and other specific video tutorials to do specific effects for my opening sequence.
6. YOUTUBE VIDEOS AND CHANNELS
In his channel, his tutorial video:
Helped me to do my 7 second-Film Title, “Chaste: The Awakening”.
7. His video:
helped me recognise how to make my film shots look cinematic and more film-like
rather than just video footages. Films have a letter box (black rectangles both top and
bottom part) that makes the film to have the anamorphic look. Moreover, it also talks
about how to do the vignette look, stabilizing the film footages, and use colour
correction properly.
8. I’ve learned to do the HUD element in my
main character’s eye which is shown in the
very last part of my opening film due to
His tutorial video:
Because I’m not using a proper microphone recorder, I had to follow this tutorial
video
to remove the noise on my footages.
