1. How did you use media
technologies in the
construction and research and
planning stages?

2.  Technologies were a big part in both the construction
and the research and planning stages of my project.
Throughout the process I have used a variety of
hardware's, software's and online websites. These
are important as using a variety of technologies has
improved my skills and meant that I was able to
experiment with my work.
What types of technologies did I use?

3.  Camera – Nikon D3200
 Computer – Apple iMac

4.  For this I chose to film my footage using my personal camera, this is
a very good quality camera however looking back I wish I had
borrowed another camera as mine being slightly broken has meant
that some of my footage is slightly out of focus. This was intended
on some shots however some were meant to be in focus and they
are not.
 The upside to using my own camera was that I know exactly how to
use it and how to get the effects I would like with the settings. I
chose to make the scenes where my performers were a couple quite
dark as I felt this would contrast nicely with my other scenes.
 By using my own camera I was also able to film in my own tie rather
than completing it all in one day, I was able to go back and complete
outstanding scenes.

5.  To complete all computer based work I have used an
Apple iMac, this has benefitted me due to having all
of the necessary software for this task.
 There were a few issues with this as it meant that I
could only work on one computer and the computer
was slightly slower than had I used something else
however this had the software that I needed.

6.  Photoshop

7.  I have used Photoshop for a lot of my work, I have chosen
to do this as this is a software I am confortable using and
can create a variety of things using this particular software.
 I was able to complete my posters, production logo, band
logo, digipak and CDs using Photoshop and I am very
happy with the outcome for all of these.
 I used a template for my digipak and CDs due to them
having to be a particular size and shape however for my
logos, I have created these completely free hand and this
was not too difficult.

8.  I used Premier Pro when editing my music video. I
have used this software as this is my second year
creating my final piece and last year I was very happy
with my final outcome using this software.
 By using this, I have also been able to build my skills
on the software as I have experimented a lot more
with the colour correction on my clips and I also
experimented on using the warp stabilizer.

9.  Youtube and Vimeo

10.  I have used both Youtube and Vimeo to upload my finished
music video however I was having some issues with
Youtube due to copyright issues for the name of the song,
whether permission has been allowed or not so I have
chosen to upload it onto Vimeo.
 Using Vimeo has also allowed me to use some different
software as I have not previously used this and I know feel
comfortable uploading future work onto the site.

11.  I have used blogger as the platform for all of my work, I
have chosen to do this as this is a blog site that I feel very
confortable using after using it for two subjects for two
years. I am able to do everything on this site and do not
need any assistance navigating my way round.
 The labelling feature has been very important as it has
meant that I have been able to split my work into sections
making it easier to see what I have and haven’t done.
