2. To verify the required equipment for welding, like welding machine, baking equipment,

Major Responsibilities.
To ensure for approved drawings before work start.
Material inspection as per project specification and material test certificates.
Inspection of pipe spool marking, pipe cutting, and joint fit-up as per approved
Construction drawings, WPS joint details and ASME B31.1/B31.3.
To inspect backing of low hydrogen electrodes and handling of consumables.
Witness the welding activities.
Visual inspection of completed weld joints.
Dimensional Inspection of pipe spools prior to welding and after welding.
NDT control as per specification requirements.
Implementation of QIP for steel structure and piping at construction site
Inspections of all activities as per QIP and coordination with client inspector for inspection
Check welding as per WPS, isometric drawings and method statement
Check piping for correct schedule, material type and continuity of items with
approved drawings
To prepare daily welding progress report; offering joints for carrying out Repairs
Hands on experience to prepare punch list for TEST PACKS by walking down of piping
systems
Verification of punch list after rectification
Coordination with client inspector to resolve the issues related to test package.
Witness/Inspection of Hydro test, Pneumatic Leak test and Flushing / Air Blowing activities.
Monitoring of all the NDT activities (RT, DPT, MPI) and Post Weld Heat Treatment of all the
welded joints as per Drawings, Method Statements, Specifications/Standards and WPS
Check that correct bolts and gaskets are installed at all Mechanical joints
Check the Valves materials as per piping drawings (ISOs)
Maintain Record for the inspection of Steel Structure & Piping work
Complete documentation of all inspections as per QIP & Specifications and submitting for
Compiling the dossiers.
