Welders and a list of Welder Identification Numbers.
(d). The inspection for qualification of personnel, materials, equipment and

(e). Witness the preparation of welds for the qualification of the procedure

(f). Witness qualification test of welder in accordance with AS
2885.2/ASME/API Codes, Standards, Specifications and ITP
(Inspection and Test Plan).
(g). Verify the a register of Qualified Welders is maintained and each welder
is assigned an Identification Number.
(h). Verify that all field welding is accomplished in accordance with WPS
(Welding Procedure Specifications) procedures and by qualified welders
and that each welders work is identified by the welders Identification
Number following International Standards, Project Specification
And ITP.
(i). Verify that each bead and weld groove is cleaned of all slag and scale.
(j). Examined each filed weld visually to ensure it is free of all slag and
Spatter, and determine whether it complies with visual requirements.
(k). Verify that each weld is numbered properly and marked as per the weld
Numbering system.
(l). Check welding machine periodically to ensure amperage and voltage are

within tolerances specified in the welding procedure specification, this
will also include random checking welding parameters used and
recording same to ensure compliance to the applicable Welding
Procedure Specification (WPS) / Welding Procedure Qualification
Record (PQR). Random checks shall be perform on a daily basis and
According to the respective ITP.
(m). Monitor storage of welding supplies, and reject welding supplies
Improperly stored and damaged.
(n). Verify that inside of joints of pipe is clean prior to welding.
(o). Carrying out receiving inspection, welding inspections, dimensions
control, final inspection, pressure test inspection, NDT etc. as required
In the specific ITP.
(p). The inspection release of vendors / Suppliers items from manufacturer’s
Premises.
(q). Maintain daily notes and/or records as required, including, but not
limited to : Inspection Reports, Notes on Welder Deficiencies, Safety
Non-Compliances and any other events pertaining to the work.
(r). Report to the inspection and testing activities for preparations of

(t). The preparation of acceptance or non conformance report.
(u). Reporting any non-conformity to the Quality and site QC Managers.
