Perform the Welding QC job responsibilities as stated in Inspection Test Plan (NG-EGN-20-SAMG-
000429)
Familiar with General Specification GS EP PLR 421 and GS EP PLR 420
Ensure that appropriate WPS (i.e Butt weld, Full Thickness Repair, Partial Thickness Repair, Partial
Thickness Re-Repair and Cap Repair) are used during welding of Production Flowlines (Quad Joint),
Water Injection Flowlines, Water Injection SHR, Gas Export Flowline, Gas Export SHR etc for the
Offshore Quad Joint Prefabrication, J-Laying and Tie-In.
Carry-out receipt inspection of anodes,check electrical conductivity of anode. Carry out visual inspection
on welds and ensure weld size is 6mm.
Ensure that appropriate NDT method is used to check weld quality
Ensure the appropriate welding process used correspond with that specified in the WPS i.e A-GMAW, GS-
FCAW and SMAW.
Preparation and submission of Daily Weld Reports and Material Traceability Report
Verify that copper shoe is clean. And when worn-out, ensures that replacement is done.
Ensure that the exact depth and repair specified by NDT technician is excavated and welded.
Carry out receipt inspection of welding consumables and maintain storage of welding consumables.
Ensure Fit-Up, Preheat Temperature, Interpass Temperature and Bevel Angle complies with the specified
values.
Liaise with Total inspector to ensure adequate notification is given for Hold Point inspection and test.
