2. Draft 1.
This layout had some really good feedback. They
thought it was simplistic but bold and effective.
They think by having it more simple it will catch you
eye better, and no information will get lost. Most
people said they would have liked to see slightly
more detail on the back of the digipak, as this and
the front cover is something you would look at
straight away .
3. Draft 2.
I think this was the favourite layout out of all
of them. They said they like how simple it is
but there are areas that are bold which will
automatically catch your attention. Many
people said that it would have been nice to
have an image of the main artist or the
whole band on the CD. Making it slightly
different and unique. They liked the range of
different image, having a variety to get to
know something about the band.
4. Draft 3.
I do not feel this layout was as successful as the
others. Many people thought parts of it worked
but I got a lot of suggestions of how to make it
better. For example, for the front of the digipak
they suggested having the image covering the
whole of the page, as the background would be
quite bare, and would be difficult to get the
right colour. Not many people like the plain 3
images of the band at the bottom, as they said
there should be more of a variety. Everyone said
they liked the idea of having a signature on the
CD. However, they said it would have been nice
to have the signatures of all the band mates.
5. Draft 4.
From my feedback I found that the favourite aspects
of this draft was the back of the digipak, and the
signatures of the band. They liked how the back was
slightly different and wasn’t just pain like the others.
They thought the signatures of all the band mates
was really nice, making the digipak slightly more
personal. Not many people thought the front cover
worked (bottom right) as they didn’t like the 4
different images, as they thought it should be more
bold.
6. My chosen layout.
For the layout of my digipak I am going to take ideas from my first and second draft. I think these
two were the most simple and this is what my audience seem to like from my feedback. By
having them simple I think it creates something very cold and eye catching. I want to have an
image of the band or main singer on the CD, as I think it make it slightly more interesting rather
than just something plain. I want to have a mixture of images, to add a variety and to show what
kind of band they are for the audience to relate to them.
