 Aims or goals: By the end of this unit students should be able to
- Review the grammar theory of the subject until Unit 5
- Complete at least one exercise of each unit
 Teaching points:
- Students will workwith a guided assignment in relation to the subject until
chapter 5.
- The teacher will help them to check out the things that are not clear in their
minds.
- Students will workwith the subject vocabulary.
- Unit by unit the teacher will explain again the main structures.
- The teacher will also explain the function of each theme. Why they are learning
each structure.

ON THE BOARD:
They will review the grammar theory before start working with the assignment. Grammar
theory review will be until unit 5. They worked until this unit before the winter recess.
They won´t be able to finish the assignment in class with the time they dispose of, however
I consider important to explain one more time the grammar (with examples) and then
start working with the assignment as long as possible.
This is a review task therefore they can finish it at home in order to seat for the exam the
following class.

They worked until this unit before the winter recess. They won´t be able to finish the assignment in class with the time they dispose of, however I consider important to explain one more time the grammar (with examples) and then start working with the assignment as long as possible. This is a review task therefore they can finish it at home in order to seat for the exam the following class. Unit 1: Past Simple vspast Continuous. Unit 4: Modals UNIT 7: 1st and 2nd Conditional Unit 2: PresentPerfect+ever, never,already,yet,just,since and for. PresentPerfectvs past simple Unit 5: Will/goingto. Presentsimple and presentContinuous for future. Unit 8: Past Perfectand 3dr Contidional Uni t 3: Gerundsandinfinitives PresentPerfectcontinuous Unit 6: Passive Statements Passive questions. Unit 9: Reportedspeech I will writeand explain on the board the theory of the grammar of each unit. UNIT ONE: Simple pastvs Past continuos We use SP for actions that began and finishedin thepast.Example: We use PC for actions that werein progress at a certain timein the past. Example: -Stative verbs: examples ofverbs that express thoughts, opinions, preferences, likes or possession. - Used to: for past habits and toexplain that it no longer exist inthepresent. -When and whiletoconnect PSandPC UNIT THREE: Gerunds and infinitives. Which take gerundand which ones take infinivtive. Also which adjectives take infinitive. Presentperfect continuous (Affirnmative/negative/ questions andshort answers/ wh-questions. We use thePPCto emphasise the lenght of a longer action which startedin the past and continues untilthepresent. To talk about an action thatfinishedrecently and which has a result inthepresent. UNIT FIVE: Will / going to. Futuretime expressions We use WILL toexpress suddendecisions or thoughts made at the momentofspeaking. These include offers, promises, requestor orders.To make or ask for a generalprediccionor guess about the future. GOING TO: to talk about general plans or intentions for the future. To make predictions based on evidenceat themoment ofspeaking UNIT TWO: Present perfect. Weuse PP to talk about: - states,actions or events that started in thepastand continue inthe present. -past events or situations which have a result in thepresent.EVER/NEVER: use them before the PP. ALREADY/JUST/YET ALREADY: in affirmativesentences to emphasisethat an action has happened JUST: in affirmative sentences to emphasise that an actionhas happened very recently Already and yet beforePP YET: in negative sentences totalk about an action thathas not been completed but which the speaker hopes willbe completed in thefuture. And inquestions to ask if an actionhas been complete. Also in negative sentences andquestions. UNIT FOUR: Modal verbs. Weuse Modal verbs before other verbs to adda specialmeaning to a sentence.Ability (can, can´t) Obligation (must, haveto,donýhave to) Prohibition (musn´t) Advice ( Should,shouldn´t). Past Modals: Ability inthepast (Could couldn´t) Obligation inthepast(hadto,didn´t have to) Possibility (could,might, mightnot) Impossinility andcertainly (can´t must)
