Year 1 At Home sheet

Dear Parents,
Activities we will be doing in Preschool:
 We will be having a teddy bear’s picnic and a mini sport’s day on
Thursday 13th, weather permitting. If your child attends on this day
please dress them in comfortable clothing and shoes. They are also
invited to bring a clearly named teddy/cuddly toy to preschool.
 Releasing our second batch of butterflies into the garden.
Unfortunately we haven’t had so much success with these ones; only 3
out of 5 have made it safely into a cocoon, so we hope that all 3
manage to emerge safely this week.
Activities to do at home with your child:
 Enjoy the sunshine and go for a nature walk in the garden or park. We
love birds in preschool and encourage the children to recognise the
more common garden birds. See how many different types you/they
can see and name. Don’t forget to put some seed out for them!
Notices:
 Remember that Friday 21st
July is our last day of term, it is also the
date of our sing-along/stay and play (one adult only per child please).
If you are unsure about arrangements for this please speak to your
key person.
 You should all have taken home a brown envelope containing important
paperwork. Please fill this in and return as soon as possible, thank you.
If you have not yet had this, please speak to a member of staff.
