Dear Parents,
13-21 July
Activities we will be doing in Preschool
 We will be having lots of fun in the outside area with den making, camping
and water play.
 We will continue to practice the summer production. The children are
getting very excited about their parents and grandparents coming to see
their play.
Activities to do at home
 Over the next few weeks and the summer holidays encourage your
children to continue their independence skills eg getting dressed by
themselves, putting their clothes in a pile, etc so that they will feel
confident getting dressed and undressed for PE.
 Use positional language with your children eg in front of, behind, next to,
opposite. This can be made into a treasure hunt game and is good
experience for when children start school and they are directed to
activities and items.
 There are some useful handouts in the parent’s area about helping your
child get ready for school – please take some.
Notices
 Party day is on Wednesday 15 July – party dress is optional.
 The summer Production is on Friday 17 July. Please bring your child at
9.00am prompt and then go through into the church as the play starts at
9.15 am. Please remember for the sake of all the children no younger
siblings to come as any noise could mean that a family won’t hear their
child’s line. You are responsible for your child straight after the play but
everyone is welcome to come through to Rainbow for coffee and cake.
 School closes on Tuesday 21 July.
