14. Front Cover First Draft
After creating my
first front cover
design I was
actually pretty
satisfied, as it did
achieve my
expectations for
my final front
cover.
After analyzing my
first draft I have
concluded that this
is actually what I
want for my final
front cover design,
but since this is my
first draft I have
decided to make
some changes or
add something to
the draft.
After analyzing the
draft of the front
cover I have chosen
to add some article
to the front cover and
finish it up with it, as I
have already
achieved my goal in
creating the front
cover for my music
magazine.
15. FRONT COVER FINAL DESIGN
Changing my first
front cover draft to my
final front cover
design resulted in me
adding additional
article heading the
front cover, the article
has been added in
the bottom right
corner of the front
cover.
The front cover has
achieved my
expectations and this
will be my final front
cover design, as it is
simple, yet complex, it
represents the
darkness and
brightness of music.
The fonts that I used in
creation of my front
cover were different,
due to this being
music magazine, and
therefore music does
not respect the laws of
literature and my
decision was made, to
break the rules and
add additional fonts
were they were
needed. Although
there are many
different fonts on the
front cover, I will stick
to the rules and use
three different fonts for
my content page and
double spread sheet
article.
16. Content Page FinalI have spent a lot of
time crating my content
page, and I did try to
achieve my desire from
the first try, in which I
have succeeded. I
have include all of the
articles from the front
cover and added
additional articles for
the content page, the
layout is simple with a
large white stripe for
the contents and red
stripes for the main
headings in the content
page. The content
page does have only
three different fonts as
planned.
The content page is
made in a simple way,
with all of the contents
clearly show, and most
important headings
highlighted.
The background of the
content page is gray,
this I have decided
because I couldn’t
chose between black or
white, so grey was the
only option left. The
guitar as the main
image and its bright
shadow attract much
attention to them, since
the shadow is not dark,
its bright, breaking the
rules once again.
17. Double Spread Article First
Draft
My double spread
article is about my
main story from the
front cover, a new
uprising band from
Serbia.
After creating my first
draft I was partly
satisfied, as it does
look like I wanted it to
look, but there is still
something that needs
to be there.
18. Double Spread Article Final
After reading
through my double
spread article and
analyzing some
more double
spread articles form
other music
magazines, I have
found what my
double spread
article was missing.
A quote, something
that they have said
in the interview, that
have significant
meaning to it. After
selecting the quote
I read through the
magazine one
again and found
word breaks.
After fixing all the word breaks I have finished with
designing my final double spread article for my music
magazine.
