2. I turned the
saturation of the
image fully up
and put the hue
on green and it
looks awful.
This image has
kind of a blue
filter over the
top with the
saturation
turned slightly
up.
I changed the hue of this image to
make it green which only ended
up changing the lights and I then
changed the saturation to make it
stand out.

3. I added in the
masthead that
is the same
colour as the
car with a
black
dropdown
shadow. A
little bit of
colour tuning
was done to
make the
image a bit
darker.
Added some
more text with
black borders to
highlight, Lewis
Hamilton I the
main focus,
that’s why it’s a
larger font size.
Also a small bit
of information at
the bottom.
Added in a question to entice the
reader to find out the answer, it’s
the same colour as the other text to
keep consistency.

4. I added in a standard drum set to
create the beat for the backing
track, the beat is quite simple but
effective as it fits the song well and
was easy to put together.
This instrument is just a standard
flute, this was very simple to put
together and creates the most
subtle part of the music but its very
different without it.
This instrument is a jazz guitar and
was also one of the simplest parts
to put together but is one of the
most effective parts of the track, I
changed this one around a lot but
this is what I thought sounded the
What's used here is a sci-fi pad
preset, this one took the longest
to get right and stands out the
most in the track.
BeepBo
xOverall this system is pretty easy to
use and can create some effective
backing tracks and sound effects for
things like games.
5. Garage band
Here I added in a piano where
the keys on the keyboard
coordinated to certain keys on a
piano, there were lots of
different types of pianos to
choose from like electro pianos, I
hit record and played a tune that
I though sounded decent.
Here I added a drum which is
a preset basic drum, you can
change this on the left where
there are several different
types of drums you can
choose from like you can
with the piano, there are also
a lot of settings for the
drums as well such as the
I used Apple’s pre-made loops to
make a track that could be used as
menu music or a backing track for a
game, there’s a lot of loops that you
can put together to make all kinds of
music and sounds and there are a lot
of options like being able to change
which ear you hear certain parts out
of.
6. Pixel Art
I made a small and
simple pixel art
Mario (on
pixilart.com) copied
from the internet to
find out how it all
worked and get used
to it then I moved
onto a more
complex car that I
also copied from the
internet to try out
more difficult things.
Here I made a fairly simple character in
Photoshop using the pencil tool with the
correct settings. This character was used to
do my first attempt at a walk cycle so there
are different variations of him, doing pixel
art on Photoshop is a bit more difficult
than pixilart.com but once I got used to it,
it wasn’t o bad to use.
With Photoshop you can make your
own shapes or get the shapes from
the tool bar on the left which is really
handy and saves a lot of time and
effort using the premade shapes
rather than having to make your own.
7. Pixel Art
Animation
This was my first successful walk cycle with a fairly basic character
model and made three different versions of him and when pet
together with a 0.1 second delay between each scene it looks like he
is walking. It wasn’t too difficult to do but getting the character
model right was the hardest part.
The square was the first part of pixel art I
made in Photoshop and it was fairly simple as
I used the preset square so I just clicked and
dragged to the size I wanted whereas the
walk cycle was my first free hand pixel art.
This animation is extremely simple to do as
all that happened was the square bounced
off the floor off scene then came back on the
other side which was a simple task.
This is my walk cycle
with a rolling
background, first I
made the
background in a
separate document
which was wider so
the smaller page
could scroll through
it, I used the tweens
tool to do this. I then
made three of the
black character
models to make it
look like he was
walking whilst it was
scrolling and I then
had had to make the
timing right so he
was walking at a
similar speed to the
background moving.
