Teachers comments
1. Excellent film opening analysis. You have covered all 4 technical areas
extremely well to show how characters, tension, props and music can all
be used to set the tone to films. Your work on Woman in Black and
Insidious are excellent and should set you up well.
2. Your horror conventions mind map is good, but is quite hard to read.
Could this be re-scanned? Or typed up? Great prezi on your genre.
Could you add images to make it more visual? Now re-worked as a slide
share powerpoint, great inclusion of images.
3. Target audience outlined well. Good inclusion of draft mind map and final
avatar work.
4. Well written script that follows conventions well.
5. Excellent evidence of ideas and script drafting. Great inclusion of ‘to do’
list, idea changing post, music permissions, lighting thoughts and mind
maps. Very thorough, well done.
6. Clear, thought through storyboards, well done.
7. Well planned shot list, well done
8. Excellent floor plan. Details actor and camera movement well.
9. Locations identified well.
10.Excellent costume choices outlined well, good additional colour
connotation work.
11.Prop choices explained well, good inclusion of images.
12.Choice of actors identified well. For a high level 4 you could add a
permission slip to show you have parental permission to use Cara in your
film. Permission slips now added.
13.Equipment identified well, good inclusion of pictures. What software will
you use to edit? Additional information now added.
2. 14.Very detailed production schedule, great additional images.
Overall this is an excellent body of pre-production work Lucy, well done. This is
just into level 4 at the moment. If you make the above additions this will be a
strong level 4 (A).
You have used your time well to improve your work. Excellent addition of
permission slips. Overall this is a solid level body of work, well done.
