1. Format: I am going to produce a documentary with music and pictures so it tells the story of
one’s life
Working Title: At the moment my documentary is called ‘ Saunders story’ however this title
may change I think of a better idea
I have chosen this name for now because the first word is the sir name of the and I am
documenting and the documentary is about his life so his story
Genre: My documentary will be about the life of my next door neighbour (John Saunders)
I have chosen do this because he has experienced many interesting things in his lifetime and
worked with many famous people
Content: In my documentary I will include pictures, videos, Q&A with John.
The photos will consist of famous people he has worked with, famous objects he has in his
house, letters from famous people etc..
The video will be concerts that he set up and worked in
Q&A will include general questions about his life experience
Style or Approach: I will set out my documentary in sections so that the viewers do not get
bored, I will have:
Q&A sections
Slides of photos
Short video clips
I will also have a song playing in the background throughout the documentary
Audience: My audience is mainly aimed at mid age to older generation (40+) This is because
these people will be most interested in a documentary about an older man in his 70’s and they
will be most interested in the things he has done in his life and will know the people he has
worked with (Cilla Black, Beatles, Sean Connery)
Length: I am planning to make my documentary between 2-3 minutes long. This will give me
time to include as much as possible without the audience becoming bored
