(Detailed Weekly Summary)
I was given the mixture of briefs available for me to do to which I have
chosen the newspaper brief, I have started to research newspapers to get
ideas of layout and content.
Continue to research on newspapers and begin to create my
ancillary 1 task.

This week I have started my analysis of three newspaper billboards which I
have commented on the colour scheme, design principles that have been
used and the positioning of images and texts.
Finish off analysis of newspaper billboards and move onto next
part of coursework.

Ancillary 1 research & construction –this week I have begun to research
newspaper billboards and the features that go into one so that I can gain
knowledge on how to construct my own newspaper billboard.
Next will I will carry on with ancillary research to help me with
constructing my newspaper billboard.

I have continued with my research of newspaper billboards and I am now
starting to get a better idea of what to include in my own newspaper
billboard. Additionally, I am in the process of analysing three different real
newspaper billboards which shall be completed by the end of the week.
Make sure newspaper billboard analysis is completed so that I
have a better understanding on what to include in my own
newspaper billboard and also be ready to begin preparation for
ancillary 2.

This week I will start to begin research on radio advertisements and the
conventions of radio ads so that I have a good understanding of how I will
construct my own radio ad and what type of features I will include.
Carry on with research for ancillary 2.

I am carrying on with my ancillary 2 research and I have begun my report
on conventions of radio advertising which I have used numerous
references to include such as websites and educational books on media.
Continue with research and construction of ancillary.

This week I am analysing radio adverts and commenting on their typical
conventions so that when I construct my own radio ad I have a better
understanding of what to include.
After completing my ancillary tasks I will begin my main piece
through research and planning.

This week I am beginning with research on my main product which is a
front cover of a newspaper and second page. The upcoming weeks I will be
analysing newspapers and researching typical conventions of newspapers.

I have begun analysing newspapers, specifically the front cover and
second page as this is what I will be creating as my final piece.

I have finished with analysing newspapers and I now have a better idea as
to what to include into my final piece, I will now start to begin constructing
my final piece together.
Continue with research and planning so that I can begin with
putting my main piece together.

Mon W/B 16/12/13
This week I have begun my drafts for my layout plans for my newspaper of
which I will do two front covers and two second pages, I will then choose
which layout plans I want to use when creating my newspaper.
Begin construction.
Mon W/B 23/12/13
I am now beginning to finish off my planning and starting to construct my
final piece together which I will use my layout plans I have created to help
me with the layout of my pages.
Continue with construction of newspaper pages.
Mon W/B 30/12/13
I am still continuing the construction of my newspaper pages through the
use of Photoshop which I find easy and simple to use from my previous
experience in AS year in which I created a music magazine.
I have finished my planning so now I will focus on carrying on
with my final piece construction.

His week I am carrying on with the construction of my final piece, I am
focussing on the correct font styles to use for my text as this feature of ay
newspaper is important.
Continue with my construction of the newspaper.

For my newspaper I am including photographs so this week I have been
out to the German markets taking pictures of the stalls as my main story
will be orientated on the German markets.
Incorporate my images into the newspaper so that they are
represented well for the reader by manipulating them on
Photoshop.

I am using the images that I took at the German markets to put into my
newspaper by editing them on Photoshop; I will then start to put together
stories for the newspaper relevant to the images.
Begin newspaper story ideas to include into the paper.

Continuing with main piece construction but also starting to put together
stories for my newspaper.
Do research into real life news articles so that I have a better
idea as how to write my own newspaper article.

Is week I have been focussing on the layout of my pages and where I will
be putting the different features on to the page.
Continue construction.

This week I have been continuing my progress on my newspaper articles
and the type of stories that I will be including into my newspaper. I have
been gathering inspiration from local newspapers on the German
Christmas markets as my main story for my newspaper is on the Christmas
markets.
I will try and complete my stories for my newspaper and then
go onto starting the layout of where my stories will be located
within my newspaper.

I have completed the stories for my newspaper and I will now place them
on my pages so that I can come close to finishing off my final piece.
Get main piece of construction complete.

I am focussing on putting the stories in the correct spaces on the page so
that the newspaper looks like a professional paper.
Get closer to finishing off main product and other aspects of
coursework.

Close to finishing off main piece, making sure everything is looking just like
a professional newspaper and meeting the requirements of my target
audience though he use of different features in the paper.
