REPRESENT PARTICULAR SOCIAL GROUPS?
2. My music magazine is targeted mainly at males 16 – 25 years old who
enjoy listening to dance music. When asking friends both male and
female what genres of music they enjoy listening to a large percentage
of males said that they enjoy dance music which is why I decided to
create a magazine on dance music and target it at males not females. I
have targeted my magazine at is mainly males because the male
audience have a bigger interested in the dance genre and the content in
which these music magazines include. The font styles are hard edged
with a rough look to it which is associated with male audience’s
whereas the female audience usually has a bigger interest in
softer, smooth cornered fonts. I have chosen the age group 16 – 25 who
are males for my magazine because this age group listens to this music
genre more than females which I found out through the use of market
research where I used a questionnaire to gather all the information I
needed for constructing my magazine.
