Target Audiences
Mass Audience
Because we are doing a horror film there’s no real specific
group we can target so our target audience will be a mass
group. We have decided this also, because we aim for the
film to be shown to all people up and down the country
rather target groups such as goths, teenagers etc.
Social Status
• We are targeting working class people as the film is
based on students from working class families so they
will be able to relate to storyline of our film.
Gender
• We are targeting males because stereotypically men
don’t scare as easily as women do and stereotypically
men watch horror films/programmes more than females
do.
Age
• We will be targeting 16-25 year olds because they are
people who will most likely be able to relate to the setting
of the film which is in a school. Also it will be popular with
them as it’s a horror and is stereotypically popular with
the younger age groups.
Location
• We are targeting at the moment just across the UK and if
the film gets really successful we expand it to other
countries as well.
