shots for the week with seven. She also averaged 11.5 points per game, including a team-high 13 points in
Wednesday’s road win at Angelo State. Fuller anchored the TexAnn defense that held Angelo State and Texas
A&M-Kingsville to just .325 shooting from the floor and 51.5 points per game.
MEN’S OTHER TOP PERFORMERS
David Chavlovich, West Texas A&M University, had another strong offensive game for the Buffs this past
Wednesday in Wichita Falls as the sophomore guard scored 25 points and grabbed three rebounds in WT’s
only game of the week. The Arlington native’s 25 points on Wednesday night added him to the 1,000 point
club. Chavlovich has now registered an impressive 1,011 career points in his two season in a WT uniform as
the sophomore leads the Lone Star Conference in scoring this season with 20.2 points per game. To reach
the career top-10 for the Buffs, the Arlington native needs 1,138 points for a tie for 10th with WTAMU Hall of
Champions member Troy Burrus (1952-54). WT’s all-time leading scorer is Martin Lattibeaudiere with 1,566
career points in 112 games from 1993-97.
EJ Reed, Tarleton State University, averaged 22.5 points per game and six rebounds for Tarleton. Reed scored
a game-high 26 points in a double overtime loss at Angelo State. Reed shot 9-19 from the floor and was 6-6
from the free-throw line in the game. Reed bounced back with a 19-point, 8-rebound effort in a win over A&M-
Kingsville.
Deondre Ray, Cameron University, recorded his third double-double of the season in a 72-66 win over
Eastern New Mexico on Thursday. The Aggie senior came up with a team high 19 points and 11 rebounds to
help keep CU in first place in the LSC standings with three games remaining in the schedule. Ray also had four
assists and a block in the win.
Stedman Allen, Angelo State University, played an integral part in both of this week’s crucial win for the Rams
including its first win in Commerce since 2008. With 32 total points for the week he led the squad with a 16.0
point average. Against Texas A&M – Commerce, he dropped 15 total points going 6-for-11 from the field and
3-for-3 from the stripe. Earlier in the week while facing Tarleton State the New York native went 6-for-15 from
inside the arc and 5-for-6 from the free throw line for a total off 17 points. Allen also added 12 total rebounds
and two timely steals for the week to assist the Rams defensive efforts.
Romond Jenkins, Tarleton State University, nearly averaged a double-double during the week with 8 points
and 9.5 rebounds per game. The junior forward played a big role defensively in Tarleton’s double overtime game
against Angelo State. Jenkins blocked a career-high 3 shots and had 2 steals while posting 7 points and grabbing
9 rebounds. Jenkins followed with a 9-point, 10-rebound game against A&M-Kingsville. The 10 rebounds tied
a career high for Jenkins, who also blocked two shots, the third time in four games to record multiple blocks.
Jenkins helped hold A&M-Kingsville to 63 points on 30 percent shooting.
Trevor Fuller, Midwestern State University, the Lone Star Conference’s top rim protector, played a key role
in wins over West Texas A&M and Eastern New Mexico last week as No. 25 MSU snapped a four-game skid.
Fuller scored a season-high 10 points and swatted three shots while holding Jordan Evans scoreless in an 84-75
win over West Texas A&M Wednesday night at D.L. Ligon Coliseum. Evans, who scored 20 points against MSU
earlier this season in Canyon, went 0-for-3 before fouling out in seven minutes as the Buffs saw their seven-
game winning streak vanish. The 6-8 junior from Dallas blocked three more shots in a 110-62 rout of Eastern
New Mexico Saturday to run his LSC-leading total to 70 blocked shots on the season.
Jeff Bonner, West Texas A&M University, had another big night for the Buffs on Wednesday night in a 84-75
loss to #25 Midwestern State at D.L. Ligon Coliseum in Wichita Falls. Bonner went 3-of-4 (75%) from the floor
including 11-of-14 (.78.6%) from the free throw line as the senior scored 17 points to go along with 11 total
rebounds (two offensive, 9 defensive) and two steals.

season. Her clutch performance allowed Eastern to continually rally from deficits against Lone Star Conference
competition. Against Texas Woman’s, Cameron, and Midwestern State, Eastern faced deficits of at least 14
points. The Hounds managed to at least pull even in all three games. Stinnett poured in a season-best 26 points

10 seconds remaining gave ENMU its only lead. Her play against Midwestern State allowed the Hounds a 27-3

the opposition to .390 shooting and just 58.5 points
per game as MSU scored just 48 in the 74-48 win

WOMEN’S NOTES (Submitted by LSC
SID’s)
Angelo State
1-1 last week.
Cameron
0-1 last week.
Eastern New Mexico
Faced with playing three games in the span of five
days, with double digit deficits in all three, the
Eastern New Mexico University women’s basketball
team showed resiliency in winning two of the three
contests. Sarah Stinnett provided a spark for the team
with 20.7 points per game along with 10 assists and
10 steals. On Tuesday, Texas Woman’s charged to a
14-point lead, but ENMU rallied to tie the contest
on three occasions, before a fourth-quarter surge
allowed the Pioneers to pull away for the win. At
Cameron, the Aggies built a 15-point lead in the
first half, before the Greyhounds battled back to pull
even. Cameron managed to build another 15-point
advantage in the second half, but Eastern rallied yet
again and took its first lead on Stinnett’s jumper with
10 seconds left, before holding on for a 72-69 win.
Not to be outdone, the Greyhounds faced a 19-point
deficit in the third quarter of Saturday’s game against
Midwestern State. Jordyn Cooper capped a 28-4 run
with a pair of treys, which included a third-quarter
buzzer-beating shot to take the lead. The victory over
Cameron snapped a four-game skid in the series,
while ENMU had dropped eight straight contests to
Midwestern State prior to Saturday. In the same week
she was selected Academic All-District 6, Cooper
averaged 8.3 points and shot .571 from the floor. This
week, Eastern will host Tarleton State and visit Texas
A&M-Commerce.
Midwestern State
Midwestern State’s losing streak reached seven
games last week as the Mustangs dropped contests
to No. 10/7 West Texas A&M (74-48) and Eastern New
Mexico (76-72) to fall to 4-19 on the season and 3-10
in the LSC. Sophomore guards Whitney Taylor and
Krishawn Crockett continued to pace the Mustangs
as the duo both averaged double figures on the
week. Taylor averaged 17.5 points and 5.5 rebounds
per game, reaching double figures for the 12th time
in the last 13 games after a 20-point outing against
the Greyhounds on Saturday. Crockett recorded 10.5
