LSC BASKETBALL
All 17 Lone Star Conference basketball teams have started the season. Three men’s teams and two women’s
squads are unbeaten after two weeks of play.
	 The LSC men have a 22-9 overall record so far this season. In the NCAA South Central Region, the men’s
teams are currently 5-4 combined versus Heartland Conference teams and 10-5 against the Rocky Mountain
Athletic Conference.
	 The LSC women are 22-13 overall. The women’s squads are currently 8-4 combined against the Heartland,
and 6-6 versus RMAC teams, which are the other conferences in the NCAA South Central Region.
PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
MEN’S OFFENSIVE
EJ Reed, Tarleton State University, SR, Forward, Mesquite, Texas, Mesquite HS
Reed helped Tarleton improve to 4-0 on the season by averaging 25 points per game on 81 percent shooting
and 9.5 rebounds in Tarleton’s two wins. Reed posted a career-high 27 points and added 10 rebounds in an
80-71 win over Delta State. It was Reed’s second straight double-double. Reed went on a 9-0 run by himself in
the second half versus DSU to pad Tarleton’s 6-point lead to 15 and secure the win. Reed scored 23 points on
8-of-9 shooting in only 20 minutes in a 116-49 rout over Bacone.
MEN’S DEFENSIVE
Khapri Alston, Midwestern State University, SR, Forward, Chicago, Ill., Thornwood HS (Northeast CC (Neb.))
Alston averaged a near double-double with 13.5 points and nine rebounds a game leading Midwestern State to
road wins over Colorado State-Pueblo and Adams State. The 6-5 senior from Chicago notched a double-double
with 10 points and 11 rebounds in 13 minutes of an 88-72 win over CSU-Pueblo as the Mustangs limited the
Thunderwolves to 37.9 percent shooting. Alston then went for 17 points and seven rebounds in 20 minutes
to spur MSU to a 95-87 come-from-behind victory at Adams State while holding the Grizzlies to 31 percent
shooting in the second half to overcome a 14-points first-half deficit.
WOMEN’S OFFENSIVE
Taylor Dorsey, Angelo State University, JR, Guard, Fort Worth, Texas, Dunbar HS
Dorsey had an impressive debut averaging 24.5 points and 7.5 rebounds per game to help ASU to a 2-0 start.
The junior’s 27 points, in a 108-67 win, is the most by an ASU player since Paige Weishuhn scored 29 in 2012.
Dorsey followed up her season debut with 22 points against Western New Mexico. She hit .563 from the field,
.538 from 3-pointer and .600 in her first two games.
WOMEN’S DEFENSIVE
Madison Parker, West Texas A&M University, SO, Forward, Amarillo, Texas, Canyon HS
Parker has come on as the season has progressed as she led the team in scoring and rebounding this week in
a pair of wins for the undefeated No. 5/9 Lady Buff basketball team. Parker came off the bench to make eight
of 16 shots from the field, 3 of 5 from the line and pull down 7.5 rebounds per game with 12 on the defensive
end. She missed her first double-double by one rebound and one field goal in the 66-52 win at St. Edward’s
Wednesday. Parker averaged 9.5 points and 7.5 rebounds for the week with three assists and one steal as the
Lady Buffs held opponents to 53.5 points per game.
MEN’S OTHER TOP PERFORMERS
	 John Gilliam, Eastern New Mexico University, helped the Greyhounds find their first win of the season
against Colorado Mesa...The Hounds were 1-1 over the weekend at the Comfort Inn Classic in Gunnison, Colo...
Leading the team in shots made and attempted, the senior guard had the highest shooting percentage on the
team as well as free throw percentage of any player with 10 or more free throws...He also led the team in
minutes played, logging an average of 32 minutes per game.
	 Jordan Stevens, Midwestern State University, was a second-half scoring machine leading No. 22-ranked
Midwestern State to road wins over Colorado State-Pueblo and Adams State. The transfer from Duquesne
tallied 13 of his 17 points in the second half while dishing five assists and grabbing four rebounds in an 88-72
victory over CSU-Pueblo Thursday night at Massari Arena. The 6-foot guard ripped the nets for 15 second-
half points to polish off a season-high 29-point performance with five assists and five rebounds with three
3-pointers as the Mustangs overcame a 14-point deficit to beat Adams State, 95-87, Saturday in Alamosa.
Stevens averaged 23.0 points, 5.0 assists and 4.0 rebounds while shooting 47.2 percent from the field (17-of-
36) with five 3-pointers to help the Mustangs improve to 3-0 for the fourth time in the last five seasons.
	 Jordan Evans, West Texas A&M University, had a breakout week for the Buffs as they went 1-1 with
a Thursday night loss to Lubbock Christian before a bounce-back win over New Mexico Highlands, 105-92
on Saturday afternoon in Canyon. The sophomore went 11-of-19 (57.9%) from the floor including 10-of-15
(66.7%) from long range and a perfect 4-of-4 from the charity stripe to go along with five rebounds and one
assist. The Houston native scored a team high 22 points on Saturday against NMHU as he went 6-of-8 from the
field and 6-of-7 from deep as WT scored 105 points to match a single-game high during the Tom Brown era.
	 Tre Bennett, Angelo State University, has been one of the main contributors to the Rams 3-0 week. The
senior point guard has assisted the high scoring Rams to a conference high and top five national ranking for
scoring margin (26.4). He has led the squad with 52 points, and was 16-26 from the field, 9-15 from beyond the

arch, and 11-13 from the foul line. Bennett has also led the team last week with 18 assists. This has also aided
ASU to claiming the second spot nationally and the first spot in the LSC with 104 total team assist.
	 EJ Reed, Tarleton State University, had game highs in rebounds (10), steals (3), and blocks (2) in an 80-71 win
over Delta State. The senior added a career-high 27 points for his second straight double-double. Reed pulled
down nine rebounds, three steals and 23 points on 8-of-9 shooting in only 20 minutes in a 116-49 rout over
Bacone. Reed also helped hold opponents to a .385 field-goal percentage and only 60 points per game in the
two wins. Reed leads the No. 2-ranked Texans in scoring (21.8), rebounds (9.8), steals (2.3) and blocks (2.0).
	 Omari Gudul, Angelo State University, has been a wall on the Rams defense in this season. The Democratic of
Congo native has led the team with six blocks in the past three games, which has moved him to eight nationally
and first in the LSC with eight on the year. The senior team leader has also been a master of the boards pulling
down a total of 26 rebounds, the majority of which were defensive (17). Offensively, he was 11 -24 from the
field and dropped 24 points while adding five assists.
	 Lawrence Domingo, Eastern New Mexico University, helping the Greyhounds to a 1-1 record over the
weekend and the team’s first win of the season, Domingo lead ENMU with an 11 rebound per game average
while also scoring nine points a game...Domingo recorded a double-double in ENMU’s match up against
Western State Colorado, the first double-double of any Hound this season...Overall Domingo is third in the LSC
in rebounds per game (9.3) and second in total defensive rebounds (27).
	 Jerrod Walton, West Texas A&M University, had a standout weekend for the Buffs as the sophomore
averaged 13.0 points per game to go along with 17 total rebounds (8.5/game), five assists and four blocks as
the Buffs went 1-1 with a Thursday night loss to Lubbock Christian before topping New Mexico Highlands, 105-
92 on Saturday afternoon in Canyon. Walton tallied 11 points and 10 rebounds on Thursday night for his first
career double-double in a WT uniform while also blocking three shots and dishing out three assists. Thursday
night’s offensive battle saw the sophomore score a season high 16 points as he went 6-of-11 from the floor
including a perfect 4-of-4 from the charity stripe with seven rebounds, two assists and a block.
WOMEN’S OTHER TOP PERFORMERS
	 Kassandra Harris, Eastern New Mexico University, registered a strong performance for the ENMU women’s
basketball team against a pair of tough regional opponents. On Friday, she shot .529 from the floor and poured
in a season-high 21 points against 14th-ranked Lubbock Christian. Harris followed with 12 points and six
rebounds in a four-point win over Texas-Permian Basin. For the season, she is sixth in the Lone Star Conference
in scoring.
	 Morgan Easley, Texas Woman’s University, led the team in scoring with 14.5 points per game in the two
games at the Marriott Champions Circle Pioneer Premiere and was selected to the all-tournament team. She
also led the Pioneers with a .571 field goal percentage, a .750 three-point field goal percentage and a .769 free-
throw percentage. Easley averaged 5.0 rebounds while leading the team in minutes with 28.5 per game. She
set back-to-back career highs in points with 13 against Colorado Christian on Saturday and 16 against Colorado
State-Pueblo on Sunday.
	 Princess Davis , Texas A&M University - Commerce, was a key factor on the offensive end this past week. Davis
averaged 14.5 points per game in the two played, and had an outstanding performance against Letourneau
where she had a season high 20 points, four assists, and shot a perfect 4-of-4 from the free throw line.
	 Ikpeaku Iwobi, Tarleton State University, was dominant on both ends of the floor for Tarleton last week as
the junior from Houston recorded back-to-back double-doubles for Tarleton with 28 total points and 21 total
rebounds. She went for 14 points in both games against, grabbed 10 boards against NAIA No. 7 Our Lady of the
Lake, and snagged another 11 rebounds against Texas Wesleyan. She is currently boasting three consecutive
double-doubles this season, which ties her career long streak. She shot .500 for the week from the field and
1.000 from the charity stripe, going 8-8 at the line.
	 Maddison Wild, West Texas A&M University, has been a pleasant surprise for the Lady Buffs this season
as she had two big games for the undefeated Lady Buffs this week in a pair of wins. She went 8 of 13 for a
team-best .613 shooting percentage, while going 2 of 4 from beyond the arc. She pulled down eight rebounds,
including six in the home-opener against New Mexico Highlands. Wild had two assists and one steal for the
week.
	 KeAnna Kelly, Angelo State University, was a defensive force in the first two game of the season recorded
five steals and two blocks. THe sophomore helped the Belles hold teams to just 57.0 including limiting WNMU
to just 47 points. ASU’s defense held teams to just 32.0-percent from the floor and forced 20.5 turnovers per
game.

	 Amari Jones, Texas A&M University - Commerce, aside from recording her third game scoring in double digits
out of four total this season, she has been a force on the defensive end. Jones led the team this week with six
steals, four blocks, and owned the glass with 17 defensive rebounds. Against Southern Arkansas, Jones had her
first double-double of the season with 15 points and 13 rebounds. When matched up against Letourneau, she
just fell short of another double-double with 16 points and nine steals but had a game high of four steals and
two blocks.
	 Briana White, Eastern New Mexico University, led a strong defensive effort from the Greyhounds against a
tough pair of regional opponents. Eastern limited the opposition to .456 from the floor, which included .361
in a tight win over Texas-Permian Basin. She registered three steals against 14th-ranked Lubbock Christian, in
addition to a seven-point contribution on the offensive side. In a four-point win over UTPB, White had five
rebounds, a steam and a blocked shot. She also hit two-for-three from outside the arc against the Falcons.

MEN’S BASKETBALL ELITE EIGHT
The NCAA awarded the 2016 Division II Men’s
Basketball Elite Eight to the city of Frisco, Texas.
The Lone Star Conference and Frisco Convention &
Visitors Bureau will host the event March 23-24-26.
	 The Elite Eight will take place in the state of Texas
for the first time ever at Dr Pepper Arena, a multi-
purpose sports and entertainment venue that seats
about 5,000 for basketball.

Angelo State	
The Rams have improved to 5-0 with three wins
being earned this past week. ASU defeated two
of the past three opponents by scoring over 100
points and are currently within the top five in the
nation for scoring margin. Bennett has been one of
the main contributors to the Rams 3-0 week. The
senior point guard has led the squad with 52 points,
and was 16-26 from the field, 9-15 from beyond the
arch, and 11-13 from the foul line. Bennett has also
led the team last week with 18 assists. All-around
contributor, Shelton Boykin currently leads the squad
with 95 total points and 10 steals. Defensively, Omari
Gudul has been a wall on the Rams defense in this
season. The Democratic of Congo native has led the
team with six blocks in the past three games, which
has moved him to eight nationally and first in the LSC
with eight on the year. The senior team leader has
also been a master of the boards pulling down a total

Eastern New Mexico	
The Eastern New Mexico University men’s basketball
team went 1-1 this weekend, taking on Western
State Colorado University and Colorado Mesa at the
Comfort Inn Classic in Gunnison, Colo. Falling in the
final minutes of their match up with Western State 77-
81, the Greyhounds got their first win of the season
against Mesa, again with the decision coming down
to the final minutes in a dramatic come-from-behind
win. After trailing for the majority of the game by
almost 10 points, the Greyhounds managed to take a
lead with six minutes to go and never relinquished it,
going on to win 86-82.
Midwestern State	
Midwestern State improved to 3-0 with a pair of
road wins over Colorado State-Pueblo and Adams
State (Colo.)... The Mustangs have won the opening
three games of the year in four of five seasons with
Nelson Haggerty at the helm... Haggerty claimed
his 100th career victory in his third game of his fifth
season as head coaches winning 100 of his first 133
games (.752)... Midwestern faced its first deficit
of the season Saturday at Adams State trailing the
Grizzlies by 14 with 4:16 to play in the first half before
rallying for a 95-87 win... The Mustangs boast five
players averaging in double figures three games into
the year including Jordan Stevens (22.3), Bretson
McNeal (13.3), Sheldon Hagigal (12.7), Hershell Grant
(12.3) and Khapri Alston (12.3)... MSU outrebounded
the opposition by 13 rebounds a game in wins over
Colorado State-Pueblo and Adams State... Senior
guard Jordan Stevens erupted for a season-high 29
points on 10-of-19 shooting with three 3-pointers in a
95-87 win over Adam State on Saturday... Stevens has
scored 20-or-more points in two out of three games
this season... Senior forward Khapri Alston averaged
13.5 points over the weekend shooting 70.6 percent
from the field (12-of-17) with a double-double versus
Colorado State-Pueblo (10 points, 11 rebounds)
before going for 17 points and seven rebounds at
Adams State... Senior guard Hershell Grant scored
in double figures in each of his first three games
this season while shooting 72.2 percent from the
field (13-of-18)... Junior guard Sheldon Hagigal is
providing instant offense off of the bench scoring
in double figures in each of his three games scoring
11 points in each game over the weekend against
Colorado State-Pueblo and Adams State... Junior
forward Trevor Fuller is averaging 3.0 blocked shots
per game this season and is 10-of-12 (83.3 percent)
from the field...
Tarleton State	
The No. 2-ranked Texans improved to 4-0 with an
80-71 win over Delta State and a 116-49 rout over
Bacone. Tarleton has started 4-0 in eight of the
last 10 seasons. The 116 points for Tarleton was
the most since the 2013-14 season opener versus
Southwestern Adventist. Tarleton increased its non-
conference home winning streak to 33 games. The
Texans will take the court against Colorado State-
Pueblo on Nov. 27 and Ouachita Baptist on Nov. 28
for the Tarleton Thanksgiving Classic.
Texas A&M-Commerce	
1-0 last week.
Texas A&M-Kingsville	
Texas A&M University-Kingsville went 1-1 this week
with a win over Ohio Valley... Cris Boleware finished
with seven assists and two steals in the win over
the Fighting Scots... Troy Jones registered a double-
double in Wednesday’s road opener at St. Mary’s...
the Javelinas head to the Tarleton State Thanksgiving
Classic this weekend.
West Texas A&M	
The Buffs moved their season record to 2-2 this
past week as they overcame a Thursday night loss
to Lubbock Christian with a 105-92 win over New
Mexico Highlands on Saturday afternoon in Canyon.
The 105 points matched the highest single-game
output for the Buffs in the Tom Brown era. The Buffs
continue their home stand next week as the host the
Drovers of the University of Science & Arts with tipoff
set for 6 p.m. on Tuesday night at the First United
Bank Center in Canyon. The Drovers are currently
4-2 on the season and compete in the NAIA Sooner
Athletic Conference.

Angelo State	
The Belles started the season with wins over
Arlington Baptist and Western New Mexico ... ASU
scored 108 points against Arlington Baptist which is
the most scored in a regulation game in school history
... Taylor Dorsey averaged 24.6 points per game while
Diamalises Rivera (11.0), Brea Mitchell (10.0) and
Jasmine Prophet (10.0) each averaged double figures
... Mitchell and Dorsey each recorded a double-
double versus Arlington Baptist ... The Belles will play
in the St. Mary’s Thanksgiving Classic on Friday and
Saturday in San Antonio.
Cameron	
1-1 last week.
Eastern New Mexico	
The Eastern New Mexico University women’s
basketball team split a pair of games in Lubbock,
Texas, last weekend. Kassandra Harris registered a
21-point effort against 14th-ranked Lubbock Christian
on Friday, while Mikaehla Connor added 10 points.
Eastern held a 10-6 edge over the Lady Chaps on the
offensive boards. The Hound’s 55 points also was the
highest total LCU has allowed to a NCAA Division II
opponent. Connor scored 14 points in a 69-65 win
on Saturday against Texas-Permian Basin. This week,
Eastern will visit New Mexico Highlands University,
on Tuesday. Next Monday, ENMU will continue its
road trip against New Mexico rivals, with a game at
Western New Mexico.
Midwestern State	
Midwestern State finished with a 1-2 record on the
week, claiming its first win of the season over Texas
Wesleyan (57-55) on a buzzer-beating jumper from
freshman post McKenna Villegas. The Mustangs
concluded the week with losses to a pair of Rocky
Mountain Athletic Conference foes in Colorado State-
Pueblo (60-36) and Colorado Christian (50-27) at
the Marriott Champions Circle Pioneer Premiere in
Denton. The Mustangs’ 27 points against CCU was
the lowest scoring total in program history, breaking
the previous record of 31 set on Feb. 10, 2007 against
Angelo State. Midwestern State now sits at 1-4 on
the season and will host Southern Nazarene (Okla.)
in a 5:30 p.m. tipoff Tuesday at D.L. Ligon Coliseum.
Tuesday’s contest will be the final home game for the
Mustangs until Jan. 9 when they return for their LSC
home opener against Eastern New Mexico.
Tarleton State	
Tarleton went 1-1 last week after falling to NAIA No.
7 Our Lady of the Lake and defeating Texas Wesleyan.
Tarleton will be on the road Tuesday and return home
to begin the December month on Dec. 1 against
Arlington Baptist.
Texas A&M-Commerce	
1-1 last week.
Texas A&M-Kingsville	
1-1 last week.
Texas Woman’s	
TWU is 2-2 on the season after dropping both games
at the Marriott Champions Circle Pioneer Premiere.
Trailing by as many as 21 points did not stop the TWU
basketball team from mounting a comeback against
Colorado Christian on Saturday, eventually tying the
score at 50 in the fourth quarter. But CCU scored the
final seven points of the game to capture a 57-50.
Against Colorado State-Pueblo, TWU junior Kenesha

points but it wasn’t enough as the Pioneers dropped
a 74-69 decision. Easley averaged 14.5 points and 5.0
rebounds in the two games and was selected to the
all-tournament team. She shot 57.1 percent from the
floor. 75.0 percent from the three-point range and
76.9 percent from the free-throw line. On the season
Easley is the leader in scoring with 9.5 while junior
Erin Maxwell is averaging 9.3 points and a team-best
8.0 rebounds and 2.75 blocks.
West Texas A&M	
The No. 5/9 Lady Buffs remained undefeated with
a pair of wins this week in a 66-52 road win at
St. Edward’s and a 67-55 home victory over New
Mexico Highlands in the 2015-16 home-opener...The
defense continued to be impressive as the Buffs held
the opposition to 53.5 points per game in the two
contest and held the opponents to .361 shooting on
43 of 119 and 14 of 44 (.318) from beyond the arc...
WT got to the free throw line 34 times and made 23
while the opponents were just 7 of 18 and, at SEU,
the Hilltoppers went to the free throw line one time
in the game...Sophomore Madison Parker has come

Three men’s teams and two women’s squads are unbeaten after two weeks of play. The LSC men have a 22-9 overall record so far this season. In the NCAA South Central Region, the men’s teams are currently 5-4 combined versus Heartland Conference teams and 10-5 against the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference. The LSC women are 22-13 overall. The women’s squads are currently 8-4 combined against the Heartland, and 6-6 versus RMAC teams, which are the other conferences in the NCAA South Central Region. PLAYERS OF THE WEEK MEN’S OFFENSIVE EJ Reed, Tarleton State University, SR, Forward, Mesquite, Texas, Mesquite HS Reed helped Tarleton improve to 4-0 on the season by averaging 25 points per game on 81 percent shooting and 9.5 rebounds in Tarleton’s two wins. Reed posted a career-high 27 points and added 10 rebounds in an 80-71 win over Delta State. It was Reed’s second straight double-double. Reed went on a 9-0 run by himself in the second half versus DSU to pad Tarleton’s 6-point lead to 15 and secure the win. Reed scored 23 points on 8-of-9 shooting in only 20 minutes in a 116-49 rout over Bacone. MEN’S DEFENSIVE Khapri Alston, Midwestern State University, SR, Forward, Chicago, Ill., Thornwood HS (Northeast CC (Neb.)) Alston averaged a near double-double with 13.5 points and nine rebounds a game leading Midwestern State to road wins over Colorado State-Pueblo and Adams State. The 6-5 senior from Chicago notched a double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds in 13 minutes of an 88-72 win over CSU-Pueblo as the Mustangs limited the Thunderwolves to 37.9 percent shooting. Alston then went for 17 points and seven rebounds in 20 minutes to spur MSU to a 95-87 come-from-behind victory at Adams State while holding the Grizzlies to 31 percent shooting in the second half to overcome a 14-points first-half deficit. WOMEN’S OFFENSIVE Taylor Dorsey, Angelo State University, JR, Guard, Fort Worth, Texas, Dunbar HS Dorsey had an impressive debut averaging 24.5 points and 7.5 rebounds per game to help ASU to a 2-0 start. The junior’s 27 points, in a 108-67 win, is the most by an ASU player since Paige Weishuhn scored 29 in 2012. Dorsey followed up her season debut with 22 points against Western New Mexico. She hit .563 from the field, .538 from 3-pointer and .600 in her first two games. WOMEN’S DEFENSIVE Madison Parker, West Texas A&M University, SO, Forward, Amarillo, Texas, Canyon HS Parker has come on as the season has progressed as she led the team in scoring and rebounding this week in a pair of wins for the undefeated No. 5/9 Lady Buff basketball team. Parker came off the bench to make eight of 16 shots from the field, 3 of 5 from the line and pull down 7.5 rebounds per game with 12 on the defensive end. She missed her first double-double by one rebound and one field goal in the 66-52 win at St. Edward’s Wednesday. Parker averaged 9.5 points and 7.5 rebounds for the week with three assists and one steal as the Lady Buffs held opponents to 53.5 points per game. MEN’S OTHER TOP PERFORMERS John Gilliam, Eastern New Mexico University, helped the Greyhounds find their first win of the season against Colorado Mesa...The Hounds were 1-1 over the weekend at the Comfort Inn Classic in Gunnison, Colo... Leading the team in shots made and attempted, the senior guard had the highest shooting percentage on the team as well as free throw percentage of any player with 10 or more free throws...He also led the team in minutes played, logging an average of 32 minutes per game. Jordan Stevens, Midwestern State University, was a second-half scoring machine leading No. 22-ranked Midwestern State to road wins over Colorado State-Pueblo and Adams State. The transfer from Duquesne tallied 13 of his 17 points in the second half while dishing five assists and grabbing four rebounds in an 88-72 victory over CSU-Pueblo Thursday night at Massari Arena. The 6-foot guard ripped the nets for 15 second- half points to polish off a season-high 29-point performance with five assists and five rebounds with three 3-pointers as the Mustangs overcame a 14-point deficit to beat Adams State, 95-87, Saturday in Alamosa. Stevens averaged 23.0 points, 5.0 assists and 4.0 rebounds while shooting 47.2 percent from the field (17-of- 36) with five 3-pointers to help the Mustangs improve to 3-0 for the fourth time in the last five seasons. Jordan Evans, West Texas A&M University, had a breakout week for the Buffs as they went 1-1 with a Thursday night loss to Lubbock Christian before a bounce-back win over New Mexico Highlands, 105-92 on Saturday afternoon in Canyon. The sophomore went 11-of-19 (57.9%) from the floor including 10-of-15 (66.7%) from long range and a perfect 4-of-4 from the charity stripe to go along with five rebounds and one assist. The Houston native scored a team high 22 points on Saturday against NMHU as he went 6-of-8 from the field and 6-of-7 from deep as WT scored 105 points to match a single-game high during the Tom Brown era. Tre Bennett, Angelo State University, has been one of the main contributors to the Rams 3-0 week. The senior point guard has assisted the high scoring Rams to a conference high and top five national ranking for scoring margin (26.4). The Democratic of Congo native has led the team with six blocks in the past three games, which has moved him to eight nationally and first in the LSC with eight on the year. The senior team leader has also been a master of the boards pulling down a total of 26 rebounds, the majority of which were defensive (17). Offensively, he was 11 -24 from the field and dropped 24 points while adding five assists. Lawrence Domingo, Eastern New Mexico University, helping the Greyhounds to a 1-1 record over the weekend and the team’s first win of the season, Domingo lead ENMU with an 11 rebound per game average while also scoring nine points a game...Domingo recorded a double-double in ENMU’s match up against Western State Colorado, the first double-double of any Hound this season...Overall Domingo is third in the LSC in rebounds per game (9.3) and second in total defensive rebounds (27). Jerrod Walton, West Texas A&M University, had a standout weekend for the Buffs as the sophomore averaged 13.0 points per game to go along with 17 total rebounds (8.5/game), five assists and four blocks as the Buffs went 1-1 with a Thursday night loss to Lubbock Christian before topping New Mexico Highlands, 105- 92 on Saturday afternoon in Canyon. Walton tallied 11 points and 10 rebounds on Thursday night for his first career double-double in a WT uniform while also blocking three shots and dishing out three assists. Thursday night’s offensive battle saw the sophomore score a season high 16 points as he went 6-of-11 from the floor including a perfect 4-of-4 from the charity stripe with seven rebounds, two assists and a block. WOMEN’S OTHER TOP PERFORMERS Kassandra Harris, Eastern New Mexico University, registered a strong performance for the ENMU women’s basketball team against a pair of tough regional opponents. On Friday, she shot .529 from the floor and poured in a season-high 21 points against 14th-ranked Lubbock Christian. Harris followed with 12 points and six rebounds in a four-point win over Texas-Permian Basin. For the season, she is sixth in the Lone Star Conference in scoring. Morgan Easley, Texas Woman’s University, led the team in scoring with 14.5 points per game in the two games at the Marriott Champions Circle Pioneer Premiere and was selected to the all-tournament team. She also led the Pioneers with a .571 field goal percentage, a .750 three-point field goal percentage and a .769 free- throw percentage. Easley averaged 5.0 rebounds while leading the team in minutes with 28.5 per game. She set back-to-back career highs in points with 13 against Colorado Christian on Saturday and 16 against Colorado State-Pueblo on Sunday. Princess Davis , Texas A&M University - Commerce, was a key factor on the offensive end this past week. Davis averaged 14.5 points per game in the two played, and had an outstanding performance against Letourneau where she had a season high 20 points, four assists, and shot a perfect 4-of-4 from the free throw line. Ikpeaku Iwobi, Tarleton State University, was dominant on both ends of the floor for Tarleton last week as the junior from Houston recorded back-to-back double-doubles for Tarleton with 28 total points and 21 total rebounds. She went for 14 points in both games against, grabbed 10 boards against NAIA No. 7 Our Lady of the Lake, and snagged another 11 rebounds against Texas Wesleyan. Falling in the final minutes of their match up with Western State 77- 81, the Greyhounds got their first win of the season against Mesa, again with the decision coming down to the final minutes in a dramatic come-from-behind win. After trailing for the majority of the game by almost 10 points, the Greyhounds managed to take a lead with six minutes to go and never relinquished it, going on to win 86-82. Midwestern State Midwestern State improved to 3-0 with a pair of road wins over Colorado State-Pueblo and Adams State (Colo.)... The Mustangs have won the opening three games of the year in four of five seasons with Nelson Haggerty at the helm... Haggerty claimed his 100th career victory in his third game of his fifth season as head coaches winning 100 of his first 133 games (.752)... Midwestern faced its first deficit of the season Saturday at Adams State trailing the Grizzlies by 14 with 4:16 to play in the first half before rallying for a 95-87 win... The Mustangs boast five players averaging in double figures three games into the year including Jordan Stevens (22.3), Bretson McNeal (13.3), Sheldon Hagigal (12.7), Hershell Grant (12.3) and Khapri Alston (12.3)... MSU outrebounded the opposition by 13 rebounds a game in wins over Colorado State-Pueblo and Adams State... Senior guard Jordan Stevens erupted for a season-high 29 points on 10-of-19 shooting with three 3-pointers in a 95-87 win over Adam State on Saturday... Stevens has scored 20-or-more points in two out of three games this season... Senior forward Khapri Alston averaged 13.5 points over the weekend shooting 70.6 percent from the field (12-of-17) with a double-double versus Colorado State-Pueblo (10 points, 11 rebounds) before going for 17 points and seven rebounds at Adams State... Senior guard Hershell Grant scored in double figures in each of his first three games this season while shooting 72.2 percent from the field (13-of-18)... Junior guard Sheldon Hagigal is providing instant offense off of the bench scoring in double figures in each of his three games scoring 11 points in each game over the weekend against Colorado State-Pueblo and Adams State... Junior forward Trevor Fuller is averaging 3.0 blocked shots per game this season and is 10-of-12 (83.3 percent) from the field... Tarleton State The No. 2-ranked Texans improved to 4-0 with an 80-71 win over Delta State and a 116-49 rout over Bacone. Tarleton has started 4-0 in eight of the last 10 seasons. The 116 points for Tarleton was the most since the 2013-14 season opener versus Southwestern Adventist. Tarleton increased its non- conference home winning streak to 33 games. The Texans will take the court against Colorado State- Pueblo on Nov. 27 and Ouachita Baptist on Nov. 28 for the Tarleton Thanksgiving Classic. Texas A&M-Commerce 1-0 last week. Texas A&M-Kingsville Texas A&M University-Kingsville went 1-1 this week with a win over Ohio Valley... Cris Boleware finished with seven assists and two steals in the win over the Fighting Scots... Troy Jones registered a double- double in Wednesday’s road opener at St. Mary’s... the Javelinas head to the Tarleton State Thanksgiving Classic this weekend. West Texas A&M The Buffs moved their season record to 2-2 this past week as they overcame a Thursday night loss to Lubbock Christian with a 105-92 win over New Mexico Highlands on Saturday afternoon in Canyon. The 105 points matched the highest single-game output for the Buffs in the Tom Brown era. The Buffs continue their home stand next week as the host the Drovers of the University of Science & Arts with tipoff set for 6 p.m. on Tuesday night at the First United Bank Center in Canyon. The Drovers are currently 4-2 on the season and compete in the NAIA Sooner Athletic Conference. WOMEN’S NOTES (Submitted by LSC SID’s) Angelo State The Belles started the season with wins over Arlington Baptist and Western New Mexico ... ASU scored 108 points against Arlington Baptist which is the most scored in a regulation game in school history ... Taylor Dorsey averaged 24.6 points per game while Diamalises Rivera (11.0), Brea Mitchell (10.0) and Jasmine Prophet (10.0) each averaged double figures ... Mitchell and Dorsey each recorded a double- double versus Arlington Baptist ... The Belles will play in the St. Mary’s Thanksgiving Classic on Friday and Saturday in San Antonio. Cameron 1-1 last week. Eastern New Mexico The Eastern New Mexico University women’s basketball team split a pair of games in Lubbock, Texas, last weekend. Kassandra Harris registered a 21-point effort against 14th-ranked Lubbock Christian on Friday, while Mikaehla Connor added 10 points. Eastern held a 10-6 edge over the Lady Chaps on the offensive boards. The Hound’s 55 points also was the highest total LCU has allowed to a NCAA Division II opponent. Connor scored 14 points in a 69-65 win on Saturday against Texas-Permian Basin. This week, Eastern will visit New Mexico Highlands University, on Tuesday. Next Monday, ENMU will continue its road trip against New Mexico rivals, with a game at Western New Mexico. Midwestern State Midwestern State finished with a 1-2 record on the week, claiming its first win of the season over Texas Wesleyan (57-55) on a buzzer-beating jumper from freshman post McKenna Villegas. The Mustangs concluded the week with losses to a pair of Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference foes in Colorado State- Pueblo (60-36) and Colorado Christian (50-27) at the Marriott Champions Circle Pioneer Premiere in Denton. The Mustangs’ 27 points against CCU was the lowest scoring total in program history, breaking the previous record of 31 set on Feb. 10, 2007 against Angelo State. Midwestern State now sits at 1-4 on the season and will host Southern Nazarene (Okla.) in a 5:30 p.m. tipoff Tuesday at D.L. Ligon Coliseum. Tuesday’s contest will be the final home game for the Mustangs until Jan. 9 when they return for their LSC home opener against Eastern New Mexico. Tarleton State Tarleton went 1-1 last week after falling to NAIA No. 7 Our Lady of the Lake and defeating Texas Wesleyan. Tarleton will be on the road Tuesday and return home to begin the December month on Dec. 1 against Arlington Baptist. Texas A&M-Commerce 1-1 last week. Texas A&M-Kingsville 1-1 last week. Texas Woman’s TWU is 2-2 on the season after dropping both games at the Marriott Champions Circle Pioneer Premiere. Trailing by as many as 21 points did not stop the TWU basketball team from mounting a comeback against Colorado Christian on Saturday, eventually tying the score at 50 in the fourth quarter. But CCU scored the final seven points of the game to capture a 57-50. Against Colorado State-Pueblo, TWU junior Kenesha Saygo and sophomore Morgan Easley each scored 16 points but it wasn’t enough as the Pioneers dropped a 74-69 decision. Easley averaged 14.5 points and 5.0 rebounds in the two games and was selected to the all-tournament team. She shot 57.1 percent from the floor. 75.0 percent from the three-point range and 76.9 percent from the free-throw line. On the season Easley is the leader in scoring with 9.5 while junior Erin Maxwell is averaging 9.3 points and a team-best 8.0 rebounds and 2.75 blocks. West Texas A&M The No. 5/9 Lady Buffs remained undefeated with a pair of wins this week in a 66-52 road win at St. Edward’s and a 67-55 home victory over New Mexico Highlands in the 2015-16 home-opener...The defense continued to be impressive as the Buffs held the opposition to 53.5 points per game in the two contest and held the opponents to .361 shooting on 43 of 119 and 14 of 44 (.318) from beyond the arc... WT got to the free throw line 34 times and made 23 while the opponents were just 7 of 18 and, at SEU, the Hilltoppers went to the free throw line one time in the game...Sophomore Madison Parker has come on as the season has gone on leading the team in
