2. • Our culture has been affected throughout time because of the images
pushed on us through the media.
• Magazines everywhere show us what we should be wearing depending on
the season, what is trending and what hairstyles are in.
• We want to look as perfect as the celebrities on the covers of magazine
with the perfect make up and outfits

it up for the winter.
• Of course we can’t forget to get everything in our must have list according
to Cosmopolitan, how will we survive the Coachella Music Festival?!?!
5. • As I am in line about to pay I think to myself, do I really need this $35
lipstick, or even this $40 facial cleanser.
• Do I really need to cut my hair and get the ombre look like Vanessa
Hudgens and Jennifer Lawrence?
WAIT A MINUTE..
The answer is NO
6. • As a college student with two jobs my money shouldn’t be going towards
the expensive make-up, clothes, handbags, and new iphone.

you see…Don’t you feel so comfortable and relaxed.
• I did and you can immediately feel a wait lifted of your shoulders

time because it is what is expected from us
• At the same time we need to realize that it isn’t naturally part of our
culture to be like this, but rather an idea that is strongly pushed on to us.
• People are still strongly influenced by this which is why we all want to be
like the top celebrities and follow the fashion trends as they come and go.
• Magazines have clearly affected our culture and it seems that they will
continue to, but we are all individuals and can choose when to stop
wearign the same close as Jennifer Lawrence and just live up to our own
expectations
