show the reader

magazine. Usually
used when the
product is trying to
be sold to the
audience and
attract the attention

magazine.
Masthead- The masthead is yellow and large so
that it stands out from the blue background and
attracts the attention of the reader. Use of images
actually show
you what the
texts are
describing to
give you an
exact
overview of
what the
product looks
like. It also
makes the
page look
more
interesting.

The light
blue/turquoise colour
which was taken from
the colour of the
ocean in Barbados is
a perfect contrast to
the all black
background. This
instantly attracts the
audience to read the
information provided.
The different colours
are used to show
different categories of
things that will be
involved in the Dive
Fest.
The website at the
bottom is used to give
people a place to get
more information from
like location of where
everyone is going to be
diving, fishing and rules
and regulations of the
competition mentioned in
the poster
Directly under the title is
the dates that the dive
fest is happening. This is
essential information for
the reader to notice them
when they should go to
meet new people and
have fun.

Date and price- This is a
common
convention you would
expect in all
magazines. When the
price is displayed in
smaller font, it is usually a
sign that the company
doesn’t want it standing
out as it is not as
appealing to the
audience.
Masthead- The

golden yellow colour
which contrasts the
white background
from the ridge. It
also stands out from
the dark blue colour
of the ocean.
