Barcode- A common
item used on
the front cover in
order for the consumer
to purchase the
product.
Product placement-
this could be used to
show the reader what
will appear later on into
the magazine. Usually
used when the product
is trying to be sold to
the audience and
attract the attention of
people to get the
magazine.
Masthead- The masthead is yellow and large so that it
stands out from the blue background and attracts the
attention of the reader.
4. Existing Product
Barcode- A common
convention used on
the front cover in
order for the consumer
to purchase the media
product.
Date and price- This is a common
convention you would expect in all
magazines. When the price is
displayed in smaller font, it is usually
a sign that the company doesn’t want
it standing out as it is not as appealing
to the audience.
Masthead- The masthead is a
golden yellow colour which
contrasts the white
background from the ridge. It
also stands out from the dark
blue colour of the ocean.
