This document summarizes a study that developed and tested the mechanical properties of composites made from teak wood fiber, patak wood fiber, and polyester resin. Composites were made with 5% and 10% weight percentages of teak and patak fibers. The tensile strength, flexural strength, and impact strength of the composites were then tested and compared. The results showed that the 10% patak fiber composite had around 40% higher tensile and flexural strength than the teak fiber composite. There was little difference in impact strength between the composites. In conclusion, the patak fiber composite demonstrated better mechanical properties than the teak fiber composite due to stronger fiber-matrix interaction
