2. Target Audience
Our target audience is between an age demographic of 14-25 ages as the star that we
construct will be targeted at them as they will be able to create a good connection with him.
This is because we will want our male audience to idolise him as we make him an aspirational
person to them as they will want similar qualities that he possesses as he will be portrait as a
ladies man which will add to the effect of him being aspirational to the male audience. The
female audience will be interested in him as we will construct him to be seen as the perfect
man as they will all see him as a love interest.
We will need our target audience to be active on social network sites which will be highly
likely due to the age demographic we are targeting as they are most active on these sites.
They will be our audience because it will help our music videos and digipaks be a success as
they will be able to share it a lot to help spread the attention that it gains from other viewers.
They will need to be a fan of British artists and singer song writers as our star is a British
singer song writer. We will be following the conventions of artists like Ed Sheeran and Olly
Murs to construct our artist and by the audience being a fan of these artists there will be a
ready made audience for us to target.
