2. Throughout Ed Sheeran’s star
construction the colour
orange plays a big part of his
identity as an artist due to his
unique ginger hair. The colour
is evident on the advert as we
see the familiar orange album
cover that will be eye
catching towards the
audience as it is a bright
colour which is associated
with Ed Sheeran.
The stylistic conventions between
the digipak and the advert are
very familiar in several different
ways as the typography
throughout is very similar as he
uses a pencil sketched text. This is
because Ed Sheeran is known for
his laid back and quirky
personality.
He includes the ‘+’ which is the
title of his album and he puts it in
a orange colour that makes it
stand out to the audience.
Ed Sheeran includes a quote to
highlight how some fans may
think about his music and how
highly he is regarded by some
people in the music industry.
It also includes a sentence that
let’s the audience know what
songs are on the album as it
promotes the facts two successful
songs of the artists are included
in this album. It allows them to
know what to expect and this will
be their chance to get the songs if
they like them.
Ed Sheeran is the focal point
of the advert hence the fact
that they use a big
photograph of him as the
main picture of the advert.
This allows the audience to
know who is the artist that is
being advertised as they may
not be aware of who he is.
