3. Research
• During the research process I compared a few products to some already
existing products and then wrote about some similarities and differences
which help strengthen my products aspects by taking and adapting some
of my products features.
• Some weaknesses of my products research was that some things I couldn’t
adapt to my style of production with the trailer but I think that it came out
ok.
4. Planning
• We started out by choosing what we were gonna make and how we were
going to produce the product. I started off by making a supernatural film
but then went off and made a trailer for scouting to help promote the
movement.
• Some things I hadn’t thought of like the health and safety precautions and
a basic plan which I then thought and planned out and put in some safety
measures and predictions for hazards and planned around them.
5. Time Management
• I managed my time well I completed the first two parts of the project with
ease and then took time with the remaining ones since they had more
slides and questions to complete.
• If I had more time to produce the trailer I would have gathered more
footage and put some effects in the end of the trailer, along with some
longer backing music that still keeps the upbeat and enthusiastic mood
that scouting implies.
6. Technical Qualities
Here in my advertisement you
can see images of the cubs and a
scout taking part in a climbing
activity where as in the already
existing one just has the available
groups and contact info
7. Aesthetic Qualities
In my final project
some of the images
are in good detail
and condition along
with an upbeat
backing track to
show off the great
mood scouting bringsI added an up beat backing track in to my
trailer and reduced the volume when people
in the videos are talking. I got the music from
YouTube by converting it
The tester
advert and a
photo used at
the beginning
and end of the
video
8. Audience Appeal
I have used
images and clips
from recent and
old footage as
seen here in the
current image.
I also increased
the volume of the
backing track
when images are
on the screen. I
did this using the
audio function on
premier
10. Feedback 1
• What did you like about the product?
– The music playing in the background
• What improvements could have been made to
the product?
• Some of the images were blurry so they could
be replaced
11. Feedback 2
• What did you like about the product?
– Seeing videos and images of their activities
• What improvements could have been made to
the product? Maybe the videos could be a bit
louder as we couldn’t hear some of the
beavers cubs and scouts
12. Feedback 3
• What did you like about the product?
– The length of the images could be a little bit
longer
• What improvements could have been made to
the product?
– The length of the images could be a little bit
longer and different music could be used
13. Peer Feedback Summary
• What do you agree with from your peer
feedback? The blurry images could be
replaced and the length of them could be
longer
• What do you disagree with from your peer
feedback? The music being changed
14. Peer Feedback Summary
• The changes I would make to my product from
the feedback is to replace the blurry images
and make the image lengths longer. Along with
fading the music in and out so we can hear
people talking about scouting.
