Audience Profile
This type of genre focuses on style and minimalism. The photography
is in black and white for the front cover because it focuses on how
important the genre is with style and photography. Even in terms of
the fonts and colors of the articles they are black and white. Not
being colorful or bold, with it being not see in your face. Unless you
count the yellow on the front of magazine, with having the meaning
of it being the most important parts of the magazine. Therefore they
are bright yellow so they stand out, with it being the first thing that
the reader will read. The photography type are medium full shots, so
it focuses on what the character is wearing and how nice the suit it.
The target audience for this genre is aimed at mostly men between
the age of 20-50 because it focuses on style and fashion, which can
deem you as the alpha male, which is one of the selling points.

Target audience
Emma Watson is the main image of the magazine with it being a
headshot of here to convey her natural beauty. The writing is very sharp
to metaphorically mean the sharp looks that these models have in these
magazines. The choice of colors is also very interesting with it being
blending in with the black and white because its key focus is modeling.
The shot type for the photos on the right side are full shots from the
head to the shoes. So it focuses on what she's wears and how she does
her hair because that’s what people are interested in.
The target audience for this magazine is mostly aimed at teenage girls
with it having Emma Watson on the front cover which is someone who
they can look up to, but its also aimed at any type of teenagers who
admire Emma Watson.

Front cover Double page spread
Target audience
For this magazine it looks as if its mash of different photos on t eh double
page spread. With them looking like the sort of one found on someone's
social media account. With the one that has Ricky Gervais and Chris Martin its
in black and white, but the rest are in color.
The target audience for this magazine is aimed at mostly teenagers, with
target range being between 13- 26 with Coldplay being the band mostly teens
like. You can tell from the way that the magazine is structured. Even thought
it’s done in a professional manner, one of the images of the article I slanted to
the side to give it that hanging on a wall music vibe.
5. Research Analysis
• What common features do the researched products
have?
- All three of the magazines are focusing on minimalism that is the key style of the magazines. These
magazines have someone looking down on the audience that they are aiming at. This gives them a
benevolent quality with none of the models actually smiling and shows leadership in the way that
they looking across
- Also there is good use of colouring on the photos with two of the magazine having their main image
of double page spread in black and white. Because these images are in black and white the
shadowing in the image looks really good
• What aspects of the research will you include within
your on work?
• I will be including a model in a suit in a medium full shot angle similar to the James bond magazine
image. I will also include a similar body shot on a full page of the first double page spread. I will also
include a black and white image for my double page spread as the main image of the article.
• From the way its structured, i’m going to be doing my similar to the total film magazine. With there
being focus on three primary colours and one of them outlines the text and is the colour of boxing
that’s in the magazine.
