QA article analysis

There are many different types of articles; Biographic, Review and Interview.
My Aticle will be Q&A (Interview) Therefore I'll analysis the same article genre
for better understanding of it.

2. Article
Q&A article by one of my
fevourite magazines VIBE.
This article is lain out differently to many others of
the same category, for example there are questions
and answers on a page, the questions are in bold
and the
answers are in the same font. The layout of them is
in 3 columns which are formal; this is would be
unusual for a magazine as this is the kind of thing
that you would find in a newspaper, usually being a
broadsheet.
From my analysis so far this magazine article is
very unique but that dosn't mean i don't know what
it is, In fact. For each question there is a separate
paragraph this could show that each question is
different so that the audience understand that is
isn’t carrying on from another.
The colour of the page is dark and mysterious, it
has a blue tinge to it which is taken from the colour
of the denim jacket of which he is wearing and it is
darkened to give it a more deepened mysterious
look. This draws the audience in as it makes them
wonder why he has such as dull coloured page if
he is so inspirational to others, this could be
something that they will be finding out in the
question and answers.
The image shows that the artist has swagger and
an attitude which could allow the audience to relate
to the star. The way that he isn’t looking in direct
mode of address showing that he is arrogant.

3. This is a deconstruction of a music magazine article.
The conventional way a Q&A music magazine article is construcleted is; the first thing you’ll notice is a big dominant image in one of the pages, usually on the
right because people read from right to left, sense the picture is suppost to get you attention it is made large enough to fill the page. The conventions and the
entention of the magazine cover is similar to the article because its trying to get you attention but this time its way of doing so is limited, sense the main focus of
the article is the text. The only way to attract the audience is using the photograph and the masthead/title. The other small but important conventions are the
following; Drop cap, black text with white background, byline, small body text 8-10pts, columns 2-4, lead it/pull quotes, index tab, artist/feature. Additional online
contest, page No. footer, and last but most important is date/web/name.

4. Second Article Analysis,
Second Analysis.
This is an extract from a music magazine; it is an article on the
black eyed peas. The article is lain out differently to any other
As the image is spread over two pages and has been elongate. The
way that the images have been faded is like a ghost effect. The mai
n person out of the bad is standing out amongst them all this Is b
ecause the article is actually about him. The headline
fits in with what will.i.am is wearing as the colours have been
taken from his items of clothing and used to show to the audience
that they are related together and that the story is about hisThe c
olours
are also taken to the side where the arrows are the same colour as
his blazer coat to show that this is his response to the question wh
ich is being answered.
The image is taken in direct mode of address which will make the a
udience feel that where ever they go to get away from the
magazine they will always be drawn back in as the people in the
image are always staring at them. The magazine is aimed towards t
eenagers, the way that the image is taken in direct mode of addres
s makes the teenagers stop and think who are they looking at as t
hey have an attitude approach which will make it appeal to the aud
ience more feeling a connection with one another. The font stand o
ut clearly lain out like a usual magazine article in a colour, the parts
highlighted within the text shows the importance of them and how
it is important for the audience and how they should read it as it is
an exclusive interview.
