Speaking and listening skills are integrated, through different activities. Writing and reading- the students
are invited to complete charts and write about what they are doing.
Materials and resources: video “Culture Close-up by Pearson - pictures - computer- photocopies
- poster-markers.
Pedagogical use of ICT in class or at home: I will use the computer to reproduce the songs and
videos.
Seating arrangement: The group will be sitting on their chairs. Students will play and move into
the classroom.
Assessment: what will be assessed and how:
I will check that they understand the new target language through getting the students to talk
about what they can do.Grammar and vocabulary will be assessed through writing activities and games.
Routine:(2 minutes)
I will great the students:Hello” How are you today? Are you Ok? “They will answer saying “I´m ok”
or “I´m fine, thanks”. Them I will write the date on the board.
Warm up: (10 minutes)
I will give the students a Bingo card to revise the words that they have been learning in the other
classes.

Activity 1 ( 10 minutes)
I will show the students the following pictures and I will ask them the following questions:

I will writethe names of the sports on big pieces of paper after that I will stick the piece of paper
under the picture or I will write some other possible answers.
Transition: Great! You knowa lot of words!! Now you are going to copy the next chart.
Activitiy 2 ( 7 minutes)
After that I will write the heading INDOOR and OUTDOOR on the board and I will ask the student
which sports you play inside (or indoor) or outside (outdoor) I will explain that some sports could
be both. I will ask the students to complete the following table. I will encourage them to add
more sports.

4. When students finish I will ask them to share they answers.
Transition: Ok! Now, Are you ready to watch a video about students who live in UK?
Activity 3: (10 minutes)
Now the students will watch the following video and they will complete theworksheet related
to thevideo.
I will explain to students that they will watch a video about sports in the UK and then they will
complete some activities and they will watchit twice.
When they finish watching the video they will complete the following activity about sports. I will
show them the video twice. After that, I will explain the different activities and I will revise their
answer altogether.

After watching activity:
When the students will finish to watching the video students will complete the text with the
following words.

Transition: Well done!! NowYou are going to preparea posterabout typicalsports in
Argentina.
Activity (20 minutes)
I will ask them to make groups of 5 students and I will bring some magazines about sports,
scissors, glue and markers)
6. They will prepare a poster with typical sports in Argentina. They will write sentences like this
one:
They are playing football. Or they are playing tennis.
The idea is that students could write sentences about sports according to the picture that they
will choose.
When they finish they will share they poster with the rest of the class.
